it is impsoible to cancel research task once started - why ? it is psisible with doff missions, why not with this ? it is realy annoing, if i select research mission byx mistake and click start, it is no way to roll back, i have eighter pay dill to finish it fast and start researching what i want, or just wait xxxxx mins until it is done.

It is this way because once the R&D project is clicked, you know exactly what you are going to get. It would be trivial to exploit this so that you cancel your projects until you get the results you want.
Hey I just vaped you, and this is crazy;
But here's my frequency, so hail me maybe?

other than the times it decides you selected an R&D mission that you didn't... Also a recognized issue.

whjat you mean ? i allways thought that result of research is decided once it is FINISHED not in progress.

No, that's not how it works. Once you click Start Task, the top left window where the percentages used to be will show you what will be the Final Result (it even says Final Result in the top left corner).
EDIT - Unless you are talking about DOFF jobs, in which case you are right, you don't know the result until they complete. But with R&D you know ahead of time.

Well yes, there is that too. I have to keep reminding myself not to rush through lining up R&D projects because of that.
