Looking forward to trying it out. Old system was akin to having a P&P system with 300 attributes like "Zit-less-ness" and "Pretty eye lashes" and now we simply get to raise Charisma. Seems reasonable.

Precisely, thank you. I'm not saying that the lockbox ships are fine. They're not. They're also massive departures from the power curve, but their scarcity counteracts this to -some- degree. Putting a ship like that on the Zen-Store makes it the new baseline.

Other than the people asking for Command instead of Intel, so far I've only seen requests to make the ship a Battle Cruiser or Tac-heavy Cruiser with two hangars bays with frigates on top. Hell yeah that would appeal. It'd also make any other T6 cruiser obsolete.

Dunno about other helmets, but I've played around with my Vaadwaur-Helmet just a few days ago. It (and the Vedek-headthing I seem to have picked up somehow) are in the Headtype-Dropdown Menu where there's menu points for both masks and helmets.

Among the advanced weapons in the fleet store, there's a [Phaser Pulsewave Assault MK XII [CritD]x2 [KB3]]. Looks like a regular TNG-Phaser, blasts like a shotgun in secondary. That's the one my doctor uses.

Wouldn't call the Oddy or the Avenger old cadillacs. One of the results of keeping us in 2409 for 3 years, is that there's now plenty of 2409 ships and refits which shouldn't be dropped in favor of 2410 ships. R&D takes time, they can't be THAT much better.

I am excited but also nervous. Simply put, I -like- my ships and Cryptic's design are a lot of hit and miss. Besides if there's only non-ip, cryptic designed ships going around , it won't feel a lot like Trek anymore.
