All Dyson Destroyers now have standard faction appropriate hull materials.
This is free and automatically unlocked for all Dyson Destroyers.

Wow that is awesome. I may revisit my neglected kdf dyson with this.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Yeah, but they're *taking away* customisation options on the Hierarchy BOFF. For no bloody reason.
They're useless, that's why.
Finally I thought to myself when I heard you could customize him, finally they're going to start opening up the tailor for our rewarded Boffs - and then they go and lock the newest one up. I often wonder why the hell we bother when they can't correctlyfix something so bloody simple.

Really, always looked white & blue on my screen...
Good for folks to have more choices; I haven't been playing my KDF DSD for a while because shortly after I got mine, I fell for another ship (the Vo'quv) in a big way. It got relegated to a change-of-pace ship, and one where I can wistfully imagine how science vessels might look with Secondary Deflectors... :-/

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)

The Hierarchy (from the Delta Quadrant) - they look like a Sontaran (from Doctor Who). Suffice to say, in one of the Delta Quadrant missions, we're rewarded with one, and it's currently customizable. It would seem though, that there is soon to be a patch that will stop this from occurring.

You mean like unintended customization options for a special reward boff? They're fixing that! :P
BTW the Xinid and Talaxian are both customizable. And if you really want a Heirarchy boff with a superior choice of pants the parts are available for Aliens at the tailor (which IMO is a better solution to the special boff customization problem, if cryptic wants special looking officers thats fine. Just give us a workable alternative if we want to try something a little different instead.)

I don't get why they're unintended though.
Surely it's more practical and beneficial to allow people to customize these special Boffs, hell, if I could customize the FE Reman and Embassy Romulans, I'd actually use them. When we've got players flying around in Voth, Cardassian and Undine ships, there's sure as hell no reason why a Reman, Romulan, Jem Hadar or Voth can't go running around in a Starfleet Uniform.
Whoever made the decision to lock these boffs out of the tailor ... well, lets just say it's a stupid idea, save me getting another warning for having an opinion.
Cool, that shade of white always looked really out of place on KDF and Romulan ships.
I actually didn't mind it on the Rihannsu DSD - after all, the original T'liss was Starfleet white, except for that big bird on the belly.
The Klink DSD, that's another story. Hoo, that is one ugly ship in white. I let it rot until DR went live because I couldn't bear to look at it. Then i broke it out, threw the Jem'Hadar shield on it and decided that was a livable look. I'll have to look at the material options now.

Funny, but the only thing I was able to change was the hull pattern (and the color of the pattern markings). Still the same white hull, with the same ugly lavender lighting. Looks better with the Orion pattern all around. But not by much.

Yes, it would be great for players if it was customizable, but they didn'T have the time to actually make it working. Sure, you can change stuff, but you get effects like costume options where the BOFF has no arms. There is no time allotted for fixing all these details, the character art team is on other tasks obviously.
But I understand things correctly, existing customizable BOFFs will remain so. (I bet if they were tradeable that would create a "gray market" of people trying to get their hands on that BOFF).
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
The pictures were made without any renderscale adjustment and in the tailor (they look weirdly off-center because of that - the tailor UI is not visible.)
I'd love to see the Federation and Klingon variants, but I don't own them. (I found them just too ugly with the old skins, I wonder how they work with some standard materials.)

I didn't mind the old skins but, I do love options and, those are some nice options. TY Cryptic!
And to the poster, those are some very lovely shots, very well done. TY

That is definitely one positive of the game, the ship diversity.

but then....

Ah Cryptic, one improvement port always has to result with another f****p starboard.
On topic, i love that the ship gets new hull materials i hated the standard one.

Cryptic wouldnt allow it when the ships were marginally competitive, now they allow it when nobody cares
This is so hilarious because it's so true.
I wouldn't call it a big leap forward.
now i have a amazing science ship that will also look Romulan.

I can only guess, that it hasn't made it to live on holodeck yet?
