This could be a really nice system, but a random piece of gear simply isnt enough of a reward for the time it takes to complete a spotlight mission. And requiring people to complete 3 missions(which will probably take at least 2 hours) for the foundry daily is also way too much for the reward given. Solutions: give more…
Much of the content on New Rom is a good example of very Trek-like non combat content. I'd like to see more worlds like this to explore. Also, new mini-games(like poker) would be welcome.
The thing is, people who read the forums/site are already aware of this. People who dont arent going to be made aware of it by posting it somewhere they dont read.
What I dont like about the reputation system is that its all UI. You should be interacting with a Romulan diplomat inside your fleet's embassy to start these projects. Completely UI systems like this make the game feel very shallow. Plus it would give you another reason to visit the embassy.
These "interviews" are just replying to questions in an email. Even if he did 1 every day that would only take 15 mins at most. You apparently dont understand how the internet works :P
Either way, it is just as "noobish" or naive(again, take your pic) of him to think that people will do what he tells them to without having any way for him to enforce his orders.
Dear OP: welcome to the internet! And for that matter, welcome to life! Why I am I welcoming you? Because only someone who was new to both of those things would think that asking people who are already rude to be nice would actually get them to do it. So you are either extremely new to life and the internet, or you are…
I understand what your saying, but I'm saying if someone couldnt follow those 4 steps when they were given to them, I'm not sure if anything else would help them either.
Um. Are you serious? You could send a fleet wide mail with 4 simple instructions: 1) click the fleet button below the mini-map 2) click fleet holdings 3) click the starbase 4) click on the project you want to donate to Anyone who cant follow those steps wouldnt be able to follow a tutorial either.
Mr. Stahl. if your still reading: you said in the OP that we would see more adventure planets in the future. With the preface that your personal preferences are not necessarily the same thing as development priorities, what planet would you personally like to see added and why? :D
I agree the exploits needed to be fixed, so kudos on that. However by still requiring people to complete 3 missions after instituting your new 15 minute requirement, that is a minimum(key word) of 45 minutes for 1440 dilithium. Again, that is the same amount of dilithium you get for 20 minutes doing the exploration daily.…
What about the feedback you have gotten regarding length of time vs reward for the foundry daily? You guys have made it so that a mission has a take a minimum of 20 minutes to quality for the daily, so that means a minimum of 1 hour(and very likely more) for a measly 1440 dilithium. Thats the same amount you get from an…
Alternate endings would be nice, but are by no means necessary. 5 missions with 1 ending are more needed than 1 mission with 5 endings, since it is quantity that the KDF is lacking. That said, I think alternate endings are a "must" for all future FEs, to allow the different factions to truly "express" themselves, rather…
I put the word "finish" in parenthesis because it is open to interpretation. However by Dan Stahl's own definition, it means enough missions to level from 1-50 without grinding. I highly doubt the KDF will ever have as many episodic missions as the Feds, but they obviously need more to meet that standard. I think it is…
STO's biggest obstacle is its past. Specifically, the KDF. The KDF has been the elephant in the room and the chip on the shoulder of the game since it launched, and it has only been growing larger with time. Until they finally "finish" the KDF, they cant move forward with new factions.
So is this thread officially off topic now? I dont mind, I only ask because I'm not interested in reading the discussion about KDF/Rom tensions, so I wont bother clicking on it to read new posts if thats what they'll be about. But if its about the topic of whether S7 was supposed to be about "story", and if that actually…
This is correct. There is nothing you actually need to buy to be able to play the game. There are a lot of cool costumes and ships in the game store, but none are needed to play. Furthermore, you can actually earn a special type of in game currency(dilithium) that you can trade for game store currency(zen), meaning you…
Saying "PvE" is both unnecessary and may actually confuse someone into thinking that PvP missions are not free. There is no need to say PvE or PvP when answering the OP's question, because every single mission in the entire game is free.
I disagree with your interpretation of his post. But regardless, he made no mention of FEs, so what he said is true. I'm sorry you misunderstood, and that you are now upset because of it.
No, your post which he was replying to said: Now, I can only assume that you meant to say "no new", not "no no". So you said "no new mission content until S8", and he was correcting you. That has nothing to do with the specific type of mission content, only that there would be lots of new mission content in S7, and there…
A question, if I may. I have seen you say basically the same thing(about not liking NR) more than once in multiple threads. I'm just curious what your goal of repeating the same thing over and over is? Looking forward to your response.
I dont remember, S6 was a very long time ago in video game time. But S7 does significantly move the game's story forward in a broad sense with the introduction of New Romulus, even if it does not give you a very specific character storyline.
Not individually, no. They are adding a new foundry spotlight reward, but that is no different than adding any other generic daily reward. They are not doing anything to individual missions, so there is no reason it should be taking this long.
