This could be a really nice system, but a random piece of gear simply isnt enough of a reward for the time it takes to complete a spotlight mission. Much of the content on New Rom is a good example of very Trek-like non combat content. I'd like to see more worlds like this to explore. Also, new mini-games(like poker) would be welcome.

I think everyone SHOULD choose "need". That way the result is completely random and therefore fair to everyone.

What I dont like about the reputation system is that its all UI. You should be interacting with a Romulan diplomat inside your fleet's embassy to start these projects. Completely UI systems like this make the game feel very shallow. Plus it would give you another reason to visit the embassy.

These "interviews" are just replying to questions in an email. Even if he did 1 every day that would only take 15 mins at most. You apparently dont understand how the internet works :P

Um. Are you serious? You could send a fleet wide mail with 4 simple instructions: 1) click the fleet button below the mini-map 2) click fleet holdings 3) click the starbase 4) click on the project you want to donate to Anyone who cant follow those steps wouldnt be able to follow a tutorial either.

Sadly, the "item" is all but useless to a max level player. So it still wouldnt be worth the 45 minutes(minimum).

I agree the exploits needed to be fixed, so kudos on that. What about the feedback you have gotten regarding length of time vs reward for the foundry daily? You guys have made it so that a mission has a take a minimum of 20 minutes to quality for the daily, so that means a minimum of 1 hour(and very likely more) for a measly 1440 dilithium. Alternate endings would be nice, but are by no means necessary. 5 missions with 1 ending are more needed than 1 mission with 5 endings, since it is quantity that the KDF is lacking. STO's biggest obstacle is its past. Specifically, the KDF. The KDF has been the elephant in the room and the chip on the shoulder of the game since it launched, and it has only been growing larger with time. Until they finally "finish" the KDF, they cant move forward with new factions.

I dont remember, S6 was a very long time ago in video game time. But S7 does significantly move the game's story forward in a broad sense with the introduction of New Romulus, even if it does not give you a very specific character storyline.

Not individually, no. They are adding a new foundry spotlight reward, but that is no different than adding any other generic daily reward. They are not doing anything to individual missions, so there is no reason it should be taking this long.
