We get the Briar Patch in-game, which debuted in the same film, so there probably isn't an IP issue keeping them from appearing. Maybe the issue is that it was implied that they went to live on that planet in the Briar Patch where no one wants to leave so why would we meet them?

The challenge in MIA is literally shooting enough to avoid the AFK penalty. In MIN you have to close a bunch of rifts to get 2/3 the reward of doing almost nothing in MIA. Um, you don't have to get the sets. I don't. Lots of people don't. Unless Cryptic has been upping the ante with every FE and releasing a better set with each one (it really hasn't), then I don't see the point. Just don't get them if you don't want them.

Actually spire consoles give increasing returns. The buff to energy damage is cat-1. The buff to crit damage is cat-2. So those buffs are multiplied together.
