Hope it is a revamp to Summer Event...but perhaps too late for that. I will take a revamp Winter Event or a new Battlezone perhaps.
Who the heck cares for Halloween...like having St Patricks day or Cinco de Mayo in STO
Revamp isn't the same as new. It's necessary for both the Summer and Winter Events, definitely, but that's not what he meant.
I care about Halloween, and there's been Halloween themed episodes in Star Trek, from TOS to current seasons. So, no it wouldn't be like St. Paddy's Day or Cinco de Mayo, thank you. October's around the corner, which gives them about four months to finish up whatever they may be working on.
If it's sort of an Easter Event, the Shore Leave planet would be the best place to have it, esp. with a certain Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland may be hopping around.

It would be nice if what they were working on was Spectres since it is not only great for Halloween, it is also a natural fit for AoY which should be coming out in that quarter from the rumors, but I doubt it is what they are working on.

Spectres would need a pretty big revamp before they bring it back.
-The Cardassian ship interior from the first mission would need to be redone.
-They would probably redo all of the TOS era Drozana interiors using the AoY interior set
-The level design of the interiors would also probably need a total do over(that upwards ramp from the computer room is awful to think about)
Out of the other "available" arcs
-Wasteland is probably the best, and could just be re-added into the mission journal
-2800 needs a redo of the first and last missions, with the new DS9 interior. The other missions are generally fine(though Operation Gamma could use a graphical refresh)
-Cold War arc just needs a ground up revamp of pretty much everything
I remember the devs said during Victory is Life they looked into redoing the 2800 series to account for the new DS9. Apparently it was a nightmare because of DS9 ground maps small size argoing one group of Jemmies turned them all aggressive around the map and the player would get swamped.
They would need to redo the number and placement of NPC groups. "Relatively" easy but still some work.
Why not just add trigger points that, when approached, beams in a group instead? Site-to-site transporting as a means of repelling boarders sure as hell doesn't get used often enough in the shows, might as well make use of it in STO....

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Do they even have a different Cardassian interior? Every time I have boarded one of their ships in the game (which wasn't often) they always had the same generic interior stage assets as Drozana and so much of the other stuff. I think the bridge in the True Way ship was rather unique though it used the same generic textures.
Anyway, Spectres could get by with minimal revamping. For one thing, a lot of it is in the dark anyway, and even the brightly lit parts are not anywhere near as bad as some of the older stuff still in the episode list. It could use some polish of course, just for eye candy purposes, but that is true of pretty much everything before ViL (the B'vat stuff was much, much worse for instance).
Personally, I don't mind the long spiraling ramp, it makes a certain amount of sense to build tension on the way down and it is supposed to be the same floorplan on the way up (they could have done better if they actually used the same map and put different textures and whatnot up instead of building the whole thing twice though) and the trap-the-patrol puzzle is nice (really all the puzzles in that one are good since they blend in instead of stick out like those arcade things they stick in most of the newer ones, even the annoying alcohol critic one).
The visual and structural differences between Drozana and K-13 are not really a problem, especially with DSC showing that the styles varied extremely widely from the sectors we see in TOS and the ones shown in DSC. It is actually rather realistic when you consider that the stations are usually built by local contractors (according to Encounter at Farpoint) and they tend to use some of their native esthetics were it does not conflict with functionality.
The things that need a visual makeover the most would be the visual glitch that sometimes happens between blue-light periods and the McCoy section where still sometimes he just walks out and the scenario stops progressing (it is nowhere near as bad as it was before they fixed it that last time though).
I never saw the point of putting Wasteland in "available" either, not only do people have to go there frequently for endeavors, it is also the only place you can get a purple torpedo cooldown reducing doff so it is always rather busy.

As an episode reward, true, but you can also farm them from one of the colonization clusters.
That is true, but long before that you could probably buy the Borg one in the Omega reputation, especially since unless you get a critical the chances are you end up with a blue quality one from doffing instead, iirc. I should have said that Law is the only one you can get at lower levels, unless maybe you do extremely intense doffing (I don't, clicky minigames like that bore me to sleep fairly quickly).
Still, I don't see how anyone could cycle that many colonists through quickly enough between the colonization projects and fleet contributions to do that before either getting Law or the Borg(s), especially since the colony stuff is so prone to bad RNG.
For a Romulan it is a fairly quick trip and a sure thing, like any other equipping mission, everyone else has to get by with inferior torpedo officers until near (or at) endgame unless they get lucky.
This current Event brings us to the 24th. Whatever shall we do to keep us occupied until July 1st?

I think they still do the four day "weekend" version too, didn't they have one back in the early spring this year? They are not always a primary prize event.
Why not add in a Sompek or two in the mix. That's a kit more interesting than Red Alerts

Please update the graphics even though this game been out for years, the graphics are so 1990. FIX the bugs already. Just making a character on a PS4 is so long do to the lag bug that's been present sense release and has only gotten worse with the more stuff you guy put into character creation area. I do like that you added Discovery start point.
I WISH games looked like this in 1990, back then the best looking game available was probably this one:
STO may not have all the newest graphical features, but the graphics still hold up pretty well and the newer stuff looks amazing. Apparently they are working on updating the character models as well.
Evilmark444: I was being a little silly, when I said are so 1990. All I was trying to get across was the graphics are so outdated. Other games like this one have been updating the graphics over the years. I would hope they would do the same...

Just making a character on a PS4 is so long do to the lag bug that's been present sense release and has only gotten worse with the more stuff you guy put into character creation area. I do like that you added Discovery start point, but could you at least have been a little more diligent with the tutorial. For crying out loud. Discovery cadets would know nothing of Kirk or the Kobayashi Maru.
Supposedly Discovery occurred ten years before 'Where No Man Has Gone Before, the second Star Trek pilot which got picked up to become TOS. Kirk was 35 at the start of TOS, so that would mean he was 25 at the start of Discovery.
The tutorial took place before Tilly was assigned to Discovery and around the time of the Battle of the Binary Stars.
So, yes, DIS cadets would have known all about Kirk and his Kobayashi Maru test.
Captaincelencelestail: Well the test does match up says Kirk took the test in 2250. Well you learn something new everyday. I thought Discovery was 100 years before Kirk, boy was I wrong. Now Discovery makes no sense to me now.
Captaincelencelestail: Well the test does match up says Kirk took the test in 2250. Well you learn something new everyday. I thought Discovery was 100 years before Kirk, boy was I wrong. Now Discovery makes no sense to me now.
Actually, the Kobayashi Maru test is done in the second round of the academy during the command/department head school phase. Also, Kirk could not have taken the test in 2250, there was an onscreen dossier that showed that he first entered the academy in 2252 (and he would have only been seventeen in 2250 so unless he entered the academy at fifteen he would not have even finished the basic program much less been back for the command school portion).
Like most starfleet personnel in command positions Kirk went through the basic program, graduated as ensign, and was assigned to the USS Republic for several years. Kirk received one promotion on the Republic, from ensign to lieutenant j.g which is the limit for the basic program.
When he was ready to be promoted to full lieutenant he was rotated back to the academy for the command school program, and part of that command training is dealing with basic cadets as a part time instructor. The final test of the command program is the Kobayashi Maru scenario, then after a brief inquiry Kirk was assigned to the USS Farragut as its juniormost full lieutenant.
The next thing that is known about Kirk is that he took command of the USS Enterprise in 2265 at the age of 32 which made him the youngest person to be given command of a heavy cruiser (a record that held until Picard broke it), though dialog in Where No Man Had Gone Before and a few other bits and pieces in other episodes implies that he commanded other ships before Enterprise.
Kirk probably would have taken the Kobayashi Maru test no earlier than 2255, but since Discovery didn't leave the 2250s until about 2258 they could have heard of Kirk's trick, especially since Tilly was born the same year so they probably overlapped a bit even though she seems to have gone a totally different route (maybe she had some sort of college before entering the academy or took extra scientific specialist school stuff at the academy instead of going on a first deployment when Kirk did).

Giving the timing I'd think it's more likely Winter or Anniversary as you suspect. Yet perhaps it is Halloween?
