Defiant with Aegis shields - the "spotlights" underneath are badly misaligned. With the retrofit, the parts of the ship that get tron-lines don't cloak with the rest.
- strange artifacts on the saucer
- [Shipname] texture is under the tron streaks
- [Shipregistry] is too big
- the Bussard Collectors and the tron streaks tend to flicker at certain camera angles
The Defiant pylons for the Tactical Escort and Tactical Escort Retrofit are see through from the rear. It is most notable when the pylons are on the Vigilant hull, as in the linked picture, however the is present with all hulls.

Advanced Escort with aegis shields http://miniurl.com/86884 this is not as dramatic as the other escort by any means
Not that there are hardly any blue lines at all on the advanced escort. mostly just the highlighting of ports or what ever they are supposed to be.So to this end I highlighted alot of the obvious lines (in red to stand out) that were missed or just not rendering right. http://miniurl.com/86895
I hope that those modifications will bring the intended feel of aegis (Troned) to the advanced escort.
Note the parts on my advanced escort are saucer Cerberus, upper hull Cerberus, lower Hull Cerberus, nacelles Cerberus, upper pylons Haphestus, lower pylons Prometheus.
I'm starting to worry that these might get left as is...
Most of the existing ship's missing lights, decal features or damaged textures would take mere minutes, maybe an hour to add or adjust on each ship via copy/paste [5 poly nav lights], bent textures [UVmap vert adjustment].. though I'm sure adding blinking running lights is slightly more complicated.
Not to mention that all Retrofit ships still have the default Conni Refit icon in the Shield Status display.. how hard can that be to rectify...
But, they keep pumping out more and more ships from scratch instead.. like since the last existing ship fix/repair, 4 or so for the Klingon's, then Guramba, still coming are Vulcan and Andorian and Captains Yatch. And even this latest Ask Cryptic, the Delta Flyer 'sooner than [we] think'...
And I'm still sitting waiting for the 8 missing navi lights, 8-ish running lights, shuttle docking pattern and bent texture on saucer of the Intrepid...

It's very disheartening..
I know exactly how you feel.
Especially since they either banned capnlogan from the forums or got rid of him entirely.

Beyond the missing aegis textures, you still have ships with flickering textures all over them. The deflector dishes especially where it flickers back and forth from the Aegis texture to the default texture. This is not new, either; it's been there since beta when I and many others first reported it. However, it was so desired that they went ahead and pushed it live. Unfortunately, it seems that once a ship goes live, fixes seem to go on the backmost burner in favour of things in the works.
Especially since they either banned capnlogan from the forums or got rid of him entirely.
I recall the good Capn saying that he would be lurking the forums less. I'd imagine it was due to the powers that be realizing how much work he could actually get done, and the shift to unique ships taking more time.
Perhaps we should start a "Where's CapnLogan" thread. Hopefully he's not an undine imposter like our good friend Sulu.
Mhm ... if Foundry gets live and the STO Community will create their own content, do you mean Cryptic will work on the Details that are reportet since Years/Months?
Its still annoying that cryp have fixed no issues that are reportet in this thread ._.
Especially since they either banned capnlogan from the forums or got rid of him entirely.
Maybe we should shove the crowd of kissing lips and new feature beggars aside, grab dstahl by his ear and pull him to this thread. Point at the list and tell him "Finish what's on your plate. Then you can add new running animations, dressup clothes and a Delta Flyer."..
He was made the only good work the team has from the developer, he has brought at least no broken content except a a lot of missplaced details on starships - that will be fixed soon i hope!!
Surely it would not be so difficult to ask the creator of a Starship to set a concrete size of their ship which everybody then sticks to. Yet apparently, different departments use completely different sizes for the same ship!
Defiant is, without doubt, the biggest example of this problem. The official length of the ship is 170 metres, according to the DS9 Technical Manual. However, if we look at the ships deck plans in the back of the book, we see several illustrations of people standing on the four decks. Taking these to be about 1.8 metres tall, we get a length of about 115 metres for the ship - if it's 170 metres long then those people are 266 cm tall, or about eight feet nine inches!
Comparing the Defiant to other ships leads to all kinds of numbers. When we see the ship above a Galor in "Defiant", it appears to be about 60 metres long. This is reinforced by the battle sequence in "First Contact"; the Enterprise-E swoops past behind the Defiant. Given that the E-E is "nearly seven hundred metres long" according to Picard, the Defiant looks to be in the region of 50 - 60 metres in comparison.
On the other hand, the episode "The Sound of Her Voice" includes a shot of the hangar doors in the ships belly. Assuming the shuttle is a reasonable size, the circular doors are about 15 metres in diameter. If so, then the ship itself is about 130 metres across, and so about 170 metres long again. The episode "One Little Ship" includes a comparison with a Danube class Runabout - this ship is radically shrunk later in the episode, but we see it full size to start with - which makes the Defiant look significantly more than 170 metres long.
If you look at the inside of the nacelles of the Defiant, there are clearly visible two or three rows of lights. These look exactly like windows; if we assume that they are windows, then with a spacing of around 3.4 metres the whole ship becomes a good 8+ decks tall, and goes back to about 170 metres again.
So, what are we to believe? The DS9 TM schematics are repeatedly seen on screen, and so are canon. But so are the VFX shots which give a radically different size. It's a real mess, and there's just no way to settle it sensibly. What I've done is go with the 170 metre length, but you'd be just as correct to claim any of the other figures are true.
Specifications
Production Base: ASDB Integration Facility, Antares Fleet Yards, Antares IV
Type: Escort
Accommodation: 40 officers and crew; 150 personal evacuation limit
Power Plant: One 1,500 plus Cochrane warp core feeding two nacelles; two impulse modules
Dimensions: Length, 170.68 meters; beam, 134.11 meters; height: 30.1 meters
Mass: 355,000 metric tonnes
Performance: Warp 9.982 for 12 hours
Armament: Four pulse phaser cannons; two torpedo launchers
So the size can be anywhere from 115-170 meters long, depending on where you get your source. But according to the Technical schematics seen on screen, it's 170 meters (thus "proving" your reference wrong). But, according to Memory Alpha, it's around 120 meters.
Meh, I've recently learned to lower my standards when it comes to Cryptic's ability to make the canon ships look like they are supposed to. Perhaps I now have as much apathy towards it as it feels like Cryptic themselves have. I'll still update the first page with errors reported, so long as they are easily described or come with pictures, and as long as I have room; but I won't be posting many myself that are not grievous.
Canon Inconsistencies:
Defiant: Studio model
Defiant (and variants) overscaled. They should be smaller than the Tier 1 Escorts
Canonical Defiants had quad cannons, why don't we?
No light showing ship's Name (This only appears a few times in DS9. Could be Optional?)
Bow section not curved / angled downwards enough - Comparison shots 1 2
Both nacelles need to be remodelled / repositioned in accordance with the studio model
Rear Nacelles glow not glowy enough (Material Type2a also much deeper blue)
Bump this, but mainly for the deflector/docking bay ("saucer" in ship editor) and the way too long nacelles.
My concern is not an actual problem, but an aesthetical issue nonetheless: Tier 3 / Tier 5 Excelsior
On the Excelsior saucers, four "vents" are kind of blocking the shipname. If they could be moved a bit up, the name would be better readable. While short names are okay, medium and especially longer names are less readable.

Another one: Tier 5 Star Cruiser, Nomad
The Nomads nacelles glow red if they are looked at from a longer distance, once you get closer, they turn blue as they should be. No screenshots at the moment, sorry.

I am really shocked!!!
But the rest of the lower hulls geometry is still "all wrong"
I suppose he might just be busy. Or on vacation.

Like this?
Yes, similar to that. However I'm using a GTX 480 with latest drivers, not an ATI card.
