I'm just worried that if you just start putting up fan outfits in the "canon" section you'll lose your sticky.
It's in the new Soft Canon section, not the Canon section. And I don't think we're in any danger of losing our sticky.
And they do also commonly get actors to come in for photo shoots for those covers. That is an actual photo, not a Photo Shopped mock-up. I'm pretty sure I will always be able to tell the difference. The example you presented has some serious shadow issues that make it obvious that it is a fake.
Is it possible to recruit Holographic personnel? If so, I'll be sure to use those Hologram uniform guides for him or her.
Recruit? No. At least, not yet. But it may be possible soon.
They are planning to release Holograms as playable characters, so I would assume that we could get Holographic BOffs as well. Of course, that isn't true of the Caitians or Benzites, so I could be mistaken.

I love this guide, and most of your work, but I gotta ask... how do you know it's an actual photo? And with the advances in technology that will surely come, and the skilled artists that will come with, how can you be so sure you will always be able to tell the difference between photoshopped and real?

There is sufficient evidence that it is indeed edited
Look, guys. I'm not going to argue about this over and over. I liked the uniform. I made the guides. If they're really that much of an affront to your sensibilities I'll just remove them. Stop giving me a hard time over it already.
There are a lot of other completely non-canon uniforms in this guide already as per your requests for speculative and theoretical additions. The upcoming 25th Century Cadet uniforms spring to mind. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to have this one in the Soft Canon section. But if you guys really don't like it, just say so and I'll remove them completely.
Well, even if the soft-canon uniform isnt quite as soft-canon as we thought it was, it still looks cool. The more uniforms the better! Keep up the good work, Blackavaar!

Thank you, Bob.
I added this note to the Soft Canon section for you, William. Hopefully this will help quell your concerns.
Note: This uniform may or may not be what was intended as the Dax uniform in ST: Destiny. Several images seem to verify it as so while others do not. Regardless, I thought it was a kool look, so I added it to the guide.

I want that kind if disclaimer so that the sticky doesn't get removed or CBS doesn't have a freak out.
I love the guide too much for that to happen, I use it on almost every character

The shoulders still look like white on that cover to me, so I think it's more accurate than you may think. But I don't think CBS would have a problem with it, being as it is Soft Canon anyway.

Should make for interesting additions to a ships crew. Having a hologram on an away team would make for a great advantage in missions. He could have a skill that allows him to turn to "soft light" so energy blasts pass right through and the ability to act as a sort of advance scout by taking on the form of the aliens as Voyager's Doctor did in several eps, get amongst the enemy and then attack from the middle whilst your main character and the rest of the team attack from the front.
Is it possible to recruit Holographic personnel? If so, I'll be sure to use those Hologram uniform guides for him or her.
Great news, man! Look forward to seeing them! Can't wait to see what you're gonna come up with!

The EMH BOff is available as referral bonus (invite someone and if they subscribe you receive it as a special unlock in the C-Store). Unfortunately its uniform cannot be changed, which is why I wanted to try and figure out what the closest match to its uniform.
The Klingon version just uses the default uniform, but the Fed uses a non-default uniform. I haven't really seen it on many other Fed NPCs, the only one I can think of is one Fed Ferengi contact, but I haven't really looked either.
And yeah, people are being way too picky about Soft Canon uniforms. It's obvious that at least some others see them as white, so it's far from being out of the range of possibilities.

That's a pity. Recruit-able holographic crew members would have been just what the EMH Doctor ordered for any Starfleet away team. Let's hope that the Devs make it something more widely available to players in the future.
As for Soft Canon uniforms...can't get enough of them. More I say. More.
Does the tutorial's EMH wear something different from the photonic referral officer? Just curious.
I don't quite have the colors down yet as I have to keep recreating the character to get to the Tutorial and check against the EMH, but I can confirm that the Tutorial EMH does not wear the same uniform as the Referral EMH. He wears a B-03 uniform with Loose Long > Standard pants and Combat Boots.
The TNG MU uniforms have been updated. All updates are now complete.
And as a special surprise I came up with a new MU set for Voyager. I hypothesized that if there was a Mirror Universe version of Voyager, the events in Living Witness might have been true events in the alternate reality. Working on that theory I came up with these. I hope you like them.
Very nice. Very nice. I am pleasantly surprised to see these come out. Never thought to use episodes where the crew was accused of crimes as a guide for a possible MU uniform. Very intuitive thinking there, Blackavaar.

I was considering your request for DS9 MU uniforms and thought of Voyager and Living Witness and then it all started falling into place. It was all just so logical.

Ironically enough, my DS9/Voy uniform wearing characters wore it like that sans the knife before I found your guide.
I couldn't find the right gray so I just used black
Thanks, William.
I'm glad you like them. In preparation for the new 25th Century Cadet and Details and Accessories sections I have reorganized the Index. Please take a moment to look it over as things have been moved around a bit.
The new A-01 - A-05 Cadet uniforms will be added shortly.
Stay tuned.
Here I used the in-game uniform standards (25th Century Uniforms) as a basis to create Cadet uniforms extrapolating from what we know of the canon uniforms from the series and films.

I logged on to the STO Forum this morning wondering if the cadet uniforms you were working on had been posted yet...and there they are and they're fantastic! Superb work as always my friend! Well done!

The rest will probably be up by Monday along with the two EMH variants.
The 25th Century Cadets section has been updated with the B-01 - B-05 uniforms. I hope you all like them.
Enjoy!
EMH variants and Detail & Accessories coming soon!
Looking awesome, Blackavaar! You took what you knew (past Starfleet Cadet Uniforms) took what was new (STO uniforms) and put together something unique and also highly plausible for the 25th century Starfleet Cadets to wear! Great work yet again!

Thanks again, Alan.
Now hopefully, when the devs get around to making Starfleet Academy, they'll use my guides to make the Cadet Uniforms. Otherwise I'll have to do them all over again.
And here they are, the EMH Variants! Thanks again to InvisiblePerson for help with the colors on EMH 2. The EMH versions are the uniforms as they appear in the game. The others are variants assuming these version of holograms exist in the game even though they do not appear anywhere... yet. This page has been expanded to include other 25th Century Variants as well, including the Open Jacket Variants, now with the full array of divisional colors.

This image of Cap'n Ezri looks to me like a photoshop of this, a publicity photo of Nicole de Boer.
And this one appears to be a moddified version of this.
Edited to add: my roommate does alot of work with photoshop. He took one look at that pic and said in half a second, "Oh yeah, that's totally fake."
I love your guide but putting non canon uniforms in the Canon Uniform thread might cause you to lose your sticky.
Especially when they aren't even accurate to their "soft canon" images.
