Y'know what, nevermind. Not worth it. If your defense tactic is one-line responses that don't address any of the points brought against you, then you aren't worth the time to argue with.

Agreed. Its going nowhere because they're convinced they're right no matter what anyone says. I'm walking away from this one.
*Devnote: players were having fun in an area unrelated to newly released content. This conflicted with the experience we intended for players to have, and has been fixed.
This.
It was the only space combat that didnt fee like you were pulling your own teeth. Now all we have left are ridiculous health pool enemies that award almost no xp or anything else.
Stfs? We nerfed your rewards by a factor of 3 and icreased the completion time by a factor of 5. Have fun.
I did only 1 hour of Japori elite with a group of friends, only one ! And then I went to play the delta rising stories one after the other and that hour helped me to play until " Alliances " without stopping now I got stuck at 57,5 but no problem : I am playing the missions in Kobali that I have postponed and I am confident I will hit 58 when I am done with them so that I can continue playing the next episodes I just hope I won't get stuck again before the final episode .
Damn ! You want people LIKE ME to enjoy the new content ? Don't make me stop and grind skill points then !
This is not going to hit just the people who don't give a **** about the new episodes like some DPS elitists. This is going to hit also people LIKE ME who just want to play the episodes and enjoy THE MOVIE , without grinding breaks ! Hell, I already can't stand advertising breaks
Moreover this is not the way to go because this is a dictatorial way to impose the new content on players : you are kind of forcing them to play it .
Now I understand but deal with it : some will play the MOVIE like me and the STB guys for example, some don't care and will just start levelling up , burn through the new content in order to get to lvl 60 , skill up, get stronger and faceroll Borg ASAP : I am sorry but this is an MMO.
I don't think my posts qualify as one-liners, do you?

Anyone not a developer apologist would take offense to being called one - that's why it's always a question first.
He didn't take offense so 1+1=2
Then in the last post I thought we'd make it clear how transparent and predictable developer apologism is, by showing the meta communication that turned into a live case study in straight up asking

So, what was the actual "exploit"? Was it simply people choosing content that had a higher XP payout? If so, tough titties, PWE.
I don't get it-it's not an exploit if people aren't franking with the game engine or whatever. Or is this a simple case of "we only want you to have XP boosts when you get them through us..."
It just seems like they forgot to balance-pass Japori for XP payout. Too bad - but why the

I don't expect any kind of reaction from Cryptic about that one. They call it an exploit and as such it is something not to be talked about anymore. Then we once in a blue moon read a devpost stating that they were to communicate more and visit forums more if we weren't all that mean to them.
I really don't want to be mean, but that kind of behaviour doesn't add up. We players aren't idiots, we know why things happen and why certain "modifications" are made, but if the developers think they can't be honest and only post PR messages and [REDACTED] nonsense I personally think it is understandable why players get grumpy.
I personally wouldn't care about nerfs and trying to get players to play certain content but please, for the love of Targ, be honest about it. Say it. "We need to "fix" Japori because this is not how we designed the expansion to work. We need players to play the new sectors for extended periods of time to provide us with statisfactory metrics that justify our investions in DR's content." There. Still a lame move but nothing I personally would be grumpy about, no reason to be mean about that. But don't treat us like idiots.

Has it occured to anyone that the patrol missions in the delta quadrant are just as effective as the ones in Tau Dewa?
Has it occured to you, that it is not your call to make where ppl do their patrols?
How good would it look for them if they could show the gaming world a brand new zone full of people playing together in groups. It wouls almost look like a healthy MMO, and it might just attract enough attention to expand the playerbase.
They already had a healthy populated zone like that: Tau Dewa, near Japori.
Also, forcing ppl to play your new expansion, by effectively locking/nerfing them out of other areas, that has got the be the lamest promo ever. If you want peeps to play your new expansion, make it GOOD.
I am really troubled by Cryptic having gone off the deep end, punishing people for being smart about the way they grind. I call it 'Exploit bias.' What is next?! People doing 40k+ getting nerfed, because, 'obviously', they were exploiting the system somehow!?
I find this new trend really troublesome.
"Any sufficiently proficient tactic is indistinguishable from exploitation."
I levelled my main character in Delta running the sector patrols and missions there... My concern is that i run the sector patrol in tau dewa to collect rom marks... I have 7 toons that have virtually no rom rep and now cannot get the marks from the sector patrol mission....
Now in a space orientated game I am forced to run round tagging animals to get marks
Here is my two cents. Take it for what it is worth.
If there is a true exploit then it needs to be corrected. If it is players grouping together playing a game on elite to get around missing leveling content in DR, while using mechanics that have been around since beta, SHAME ON CRYPITC.
Things get fuzzy where Cryptic brands "players grouping together playing a game on elite to get around missing leveling content in DR" as a 'true exploit.'
Honestly, I think Cryptic have finally gone completely mental. Peeps banding together, to accomplish goals, isn't that *exactly* what they wanted?! I even recall Geko saying, in a podcast, about R&D, that they specifically designed the system so people would have to rely on each other more. Gawd forbid, if they actually do, though. Sigh.
For the record, I was nowhere near Tau Dewa, and haven't been for months. But kudos to those were smarter than I was about grinding their XP!
major bugs are ignored in this game for weeks, months, even years!... players find a way to shorten the epic boring lvling madnes and devs be like "we have to shut it down ASAP". i'm disappointed beyond imagination.

RnD and upgrade needs less RNG. Less lottery. Something has to change.
Won't somebody think of poor Subcommander Mivek? Now she is out of a job.
She's welcome to join my crew
But honestly, the hell do they think they're doing? I mean if they stop it here all it is going to do is move it somewhere else, and so does the cycle continue? They don't listen to any feedback we gave on Tribble, release it full of bugs and issues that aren't addressed and then proceed to do nothing except fix these supposed 'exploits'.
The only reason I kept testing was because I hoped to make a difference, but if this keeps up I'm going to have to seriously wonder how long the game will realistically last for...
Ten soldiers wisely led will beat a hundred without a head. - Euripides
I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.
So do it in another sector. Never paid any attention to patrols before, but the Tau Dewa ones can't be the only 'patrols' that are 'kill 5 ways of mooks.'
Perhaps Cryptic will block off access to all patrol maps so we cannot leave the homeworlds.

Yep doesn't make any sense ... I guess Dyson BZ is an exploit as well ... and when Dil-Weekend hits it's probably an Uber-Exploit ...

YOU TRIBBLE
well, since Azura Nebula is broken, go to new romulus.
Bunny Tagging on New Romulus ... but 400 Marks per Bunny sounds like an exploit to me ... so not sure ...
