    yup. zones full of players grinding the patrols were informed by a zone wide announcement that the Devs have shut down all patrol missions in that sector.

    So do it in another sector. Never paid any attention to patrols before, but the Tau Dewa ones can't be the only 'patrols' that are 'kill 5 ways of mooks.'

    so basically, they are saying that the large gaps in the leveling process are supposed to be there.. ummmmmm... can someone explain this too me..

    *Devnote: players were having fun in an area unrelated to newly released content. This conflicted with the experience we intended for players to have, and has been fixed.

    They could have just silently changed things this Thursday. Why the freak out to do it now? I guess they have calculations that it leads to a severe financial hit.

    Still seems kinda...petty?

    The only problem is it closes the sector for those of us not power leveling and doing the sector patrol missions solo!

    I knew the hierarchy in the delta quadrant seemed familiar, they are star trek's cryptic.

    Not so much a nerfbat as it is a Thermonuclear Nerf Bomb.

    It is but only the beginning of a disturbing trend... game-breaking bugs are fine by us, but we'll be ******ned if a player uses our system as intended (as in using settings allowed by the game to be used) to get to enjoy DR content faster.

    I give it a week before the Devs single-handedly nerf all missions pre-DR to the point where leveling becomes a career.

    You have GOT to be kidding me!! It wasn’t an exploit! WHY did they have to **** with it?!

    SO WHAT if players wanted to get to 60 in order to actually play the storylines through rather than stop and grind, stop and grind?!

    Random desktop crashes, broken content, broken upgrade systems and everything else making this new expansion the crapfest it is and THIS is what they choose to address?

    “Ermergerd! PLaerz isn’t playin the wayz we wont them two! Nerf nerf nerf!”

    That’s it…. I said before if this happened it would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Cryptic couldn’t give two sh!ts about the players or the game and just want to grind your wallets.

    I was just in the game doing the patrol mission to get my daily marks and all of a sudden, with one system left, I can't finish the patrol :confused:

    So basically, I need to finish the mission with a Tau Dewa Red Alert to get my marks for the day...

    This was not a bug or an explo¡t, but cryptic make an emergency fix beacose hits their plans.

    Bugs that do not affert their pockets and only TRIBBLE on players, stay here forever.

    Did they ever actually fix the Red Alert in Tau Dewa? I stopped trying it a long time ago.

    Well darn, there went my patrol I was setting up for. I could use those points for my experimental array I want to purchase.

    They clearly state in the information menu, on the lower right side of the screen anywhere in the DQ, that the level gap between missions can be crossed by several way, including replaying patrol missions. And that's exactly what we are doing !

    Seriously, they make a bad leveling curve, and they blame the players ? Lol Cryptic !

    Fix what? there it was nothing broken! Ppl were playing missions on ELITE dificulty and finish them off. What is broken about that?

    We are not supposed to go the easy way around...

    They want us to chew ourselves through the new 1-Zillion HP content mobs... as they forgot to adjust Tau Dewa its going to be adjusted ASAP.

    So move your butts back into the Delta Quadrant and get to work on them lowXPbigHP patrols.

    We were playing the game we wanted to play, not the game they intended for us to play. Oh well, guess I have more time to play War Thunder now. Thanks Cryptic.

    Damn, and I was just getting ready to speed another toon to 55.

    Oh well. Least I got two up there before this got nerfed. Not a good ratio considering it's out of nine I bother playing, but seeing as I usually miss these exploits, that's better than normal for me.

    Well, if anyone from Cryptic is reading this, now might be a good time to give the players an honest and intelligent response to this issue, before the players group up and storm your citadel with torches and pitchforks. Not that anyone from cryptic actually pays any attention to us lowly players.

    The issue may not have been people levelling to 60. It is more likely that people were farming it for specialisation points and ship mastery XP.

    Those 2 are supposed to take time from what I understand and I can understand maybe nerfing that. But please don't nerf the ability to level easily to 60 so players can enjoy the new content with out interruption.
