She wouldn't be a VPvP ship, being Fleet (and Upgraded) and packed to the gunnels with expensive gear and Doffs.
TBH, I'm pretty sentimental about ships; and it upset me a bit about how my formerly top of the line, far and away best ship, turned into insta-garbage when they flicked the DR switch. However, it'll be a very long term mission of mine to get her back up to being top of the line again.
It'll take a while since when I returned to STO I vowed to avoid anything that felt like the 'Tedious, unfun, clock-watching second job that you have to pay for the privilege of working' thing that STO has become.
But when I've eventually got her back up to where I want her to be, sure - I'll have a 1 vs 1 with you... if you're still playing STO by then.:) You're in the EU timezone, right? I'm UK, so at least that shouldn't be a problem.
Could the Kazon Heavy Raider be allowed because it has the same stats as free T5 ships the only difference is that it can be upgraded.
I would bet the answer will be no. He is actually trying to use rear admiral level T5 equal ship and not vice admiral level T5 ships. Which is why we see no Defiant and such.

well, then this ship can't be left out, because it's a rear admiral ship

I want to tell you guys that this channel was my last hope
DR screwed us all Im not the only one quiting. I just want to say that Im out I lost totally my faith. I thought the devs would see sense but no. They dont listen to us at all and thats why this game shutdowns its servers soon and Geko wont ever get close to Cryptics office. The devs on other "popular" Cryptic and PWE titled will laugh their a*s of. Star Citizen, Elite: Dangerous and EVE Online devs will have a party because Cryptic failed.
Should I ask Smirk to retract the guest blog, or let it go through? My guess is it would take at least a couple more months to be published (hey fun fact, did you know Star Trek Battles was supposed to have a guest blog in August?), and by then it would be like advertising for a company that's been put out of business.
All I know is I scrapped my cheap vpvp gear and bought a little into some q able space pvp gear. This gives me an option while ground pvp is dead. As far as vpvp goes I have yet to be in a real teamed match yet. 1 on 1 are nice but not exactly what I built a vpvp toon for.

I always thought that limiting the number of weapon slots used was a better way to make a more canon looking and balanced ship, any chance I can submit these builds for review? nothing else would be C-Store/unique and I don't mind only using half the ship's weapon slots since it looks more like the TV show
VPvP and STB aren't that similar - both involve reduced capability compared to normal, but that is pretty much where it ends as far as similarities go.
In VPvP, it is about removing all the stuff that unbalances or drives up the cost of normal PvP, and returning to when it mostly worked well, and STB is about fighting as they did in the shows.
Now, you can bring a canon loadout into VPvP, but if you did, it would be like bringing a canon build to normal PvP - it isn't going to work well.

IDK 5 boff stations for a raider? Doesn't sound like vpvp material.
Well, that's unfortunate.
Don't bother posting youtube links no one is going to sit though your 2 min talky talky.
Type it or don't bother.
Damn. Not that it helps, but it is PvP in general that is dying, not just VPvP. DR f**ked us all up.
Sometimes I simply cannot put meaning into unspoken type as I can actualy saying it.
And everyone else seems perfectly willing to listen.

Vanilla Ground PvP information
Er... we were? Never knew that. How did you find out?
Anyway, needless to say, I am sad to see this has failed, (even if I don't see why), as this and STB had similar goals.
I actually like Delta Rising.
STB is about playing STO in a canon feel - VPvP was about returning to a time when PvP wasn't as broken.
Only one of those can really be done post-DR.
