As I said before, if you have a klingon toon and you regularly or don't even touch them, you must buy this ship! This must be the call to cryptic to make more ships!!!! Please buy this even if you don't need/want it.

BOTH my mains are Klingon, but history has taught us that throwing money at Cryptic only makes them give everyone else more stuff.
At last my KDF will be able to leave her Bortasqu' (base model)!!!! I Will need to hop over to a fleet with T5 shipyard thats gonna cost me a ton I am sure.... For sad 2500 Zen, 500 more.. then who knows how many million EC I will get scalped...
Assuming the leaked shipyard listing was accurate, it will require a T4 shipyard. But as Cryptic would say, all info is subject to change.
Aside from having a much larger crew and an innate standard cloak, it was identical stat-for-stat to the Fleet Avenger. So it would make sense for them to require the same tier shipyard.
As for being a must-buy... all my KDF characters have ships I'm happy with, including a Fleet Tor'kaht which I don't consider this to be an improvement upon. So I' not buying this unless it has the one thing that would push it into must-buy territory for me- a wide-angle torpedo launcher I can strip off it and put on my Tor'kaht.
Honestly I have no need for another battle cruiser. I already did my part in supporting KDF by wasting $50 on the worse 3 pack in the game. I'll stay in my Bortasqu until cryptic decides to buff it if ever. Throwing a $50 (horrible) ship to the side just to spend $30 on this new ship is not something I plan on doing anytime soon. Why the bortasqu can't have 5 weapons in the front? I thought it was KDF's Super Flagship.
I love KDF, but cloning/copy and paste will not get my money. The console on this new ship better rock. That's all I have to say about that.
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
^The Bort isn't a battlecruiser no matter what it says on the box. It's a Starfleet engi cruiser with an integrated cloak and KDF skin. You try to fly it like a normal battlecruiser, you will have problems. Just because something says DC-capable doesn't mean it can use them competently (*cough* Gal-X *cough hack cough*).
Run it with beams and add fleet neutronium +turn. The Command Cruiser should work splendidly as a mighty glacier using a weapons-boosting build (aux2batt especially) with weapons efficiency running. It may not get the threat gen command, but face it: threat gen is pretty much superfluous in this game anyway.
By contrast the Mogh is a traditional Klingon BC.

dont think of it as an avenger clone, there was always going to be a kdf version too. the ship designers can only model so quickly! one had to come out before the other
Don't have a toon to put the Mogh on? Roll a new one with the LoR revamped tutorial, soon with Micheal Dorn voice-over and a free C-Store starter BoP! I went through the tutorial on Tribble when LoR went public beta and quite liked it, a free C-Store BoP and Micheal Dorn VO can only enhance it.
Doesn't one of the new low-level BoPs come with a shield draining console? If the Mogh comes with a VATA-like console with a shield drain mode, it might be interesting combining the two for extra shield-stripping.

So you're saying the Mogh is not a re-skinned Avenger but that the Avenger is actually a re-skinned Mogh?!!? Yes! In your face Fed dogs!

Agreed... well in part.
I actually love my Bortasqu'. I don't regret the buy. I made it work for me and I enjoy being the STO equivalent of a Age of Empires trebuchet.
That being said the huge penalty it has on turn rate is quite out of date. She needs a big makeover. A nice +2 to turn at least. You could slice off some hull, I don't care.
It would be nice to have her as a dread if anything. 5/3 with those 5 tac consoles. If you can do it on a Scimitar, why not a Klink ship. Wouldn't mind a Commander Tac station... but lets not get ahead of ourselves.
I don't see how a revisit to the flagships hurt STO or the devs. Sure it may not make me buy another ship since I have it already, but it will make new players buy it. And I would be inclined to put some money into her via zen/dil/consoles and the like. And all without having to hire an art team for it.
Let's throw the Galaxy dread or the Ody a bone too. Bringing older ships in line isn't bad or counterproductive. There are so many ships that could be flown if they were viable in at least one way. It creates variety for a player base that delights in that sort of thing.
Whatever...
I'll think about buying the Mogh. My fleet isn't at T4 and I like the models of alot of the other klink ships. Not really hurting on damage dealing with these STFs anyway.

Hopefully we'll see a dev blog soon.
Because of the fifth fore weapons spot, this one will have more DPS.
Regarding Dev blogs ... Tuesday will have the background of the art development for the design, etc. Wednesday will have the stats.
How about a spiffy new KDF bridge to go with the new ship? :P
*STO*Its mission: To destroy strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations... and then kill them, to boldly annihilate what no one has annihilated before!
We don't want what the Feds have. We want the equivalent. We want fairer treatment. Concern, desire, greed to some extent, and passionate belief that the enough people would buy KDF items to make it worth Cryptic's while.
as for this ship... i didnt want another battle cruiser. while i am happy the kdf are finally being thrown a bone, i am not very excited about this ship.
a bop with some teeth though? thats something i will buy without hesitation.
also wondering when the bort will get a revamp due to its poor sales. after all, the rommies got a hangar for that reason. the kdf on the other hand... got years of cstore drought.
It's fugly. Seriously fugly. Cryptic needs to fire their design crew and get some fresh blood in. They're CERTAINLY not wasting the money on actual coding and development. So they need to not TRIBBLE up the art design side of things.
It will be another ship with NO customization. It looks atrocious. The style and design is simply ugly. Not brute force like traditional KDF ships. Not hybrid force+style like TNG era ships. Just UGLY.
5th forward slot does NOT mean we need to buy it. I'd go for a 4/4 ship as long as I could CUSTOMIZE it.
Hell, I'd pay for an "Advanced" Fleet K'tinga Retrofit if I got more hull to it and if I could customize the looks however I wanted. Mix and match neck, pylons, nacelles, bridge, module, etc.
a.)Buy the new Kdf battlecruiser because you like it
b.)Buy the new Kdf battlecruiser because you want to show support for Cryptic
If it would be so I would use the second button even if that button would cost more than the first with a 1000 zen .
I am thinking that there should be a way to make a difference between buying a ship because you want it and the people who build it were right and buying the same ship even if you don't need it and you buy it because you know that a business needs money to run.

Awoken Dead
Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
Pity the person who doesn't.
I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)
And that should be possible without getting fleeced...

My understanding is the global on DEM is the same as the CD so two copies is not beneficial.

I have to admit I'd love a new state of the art KDF bridge.

You see it in the Lobi ships and Romulan ships, with the set bonuses. And even the free Breen ships.
Game design led by marketing design of OCD and the compelling motivation to have it all and if you don't have it all you're missing out.
And Friday I will be buying it for G'hargh.

Then EWP in place of Dem2. Though I would like to have a RSP for defense sake but see no way to do it without having a AtB1 - AtB2 setup.
