well...y'know, the Bort's a very niche ride-it's basically everything every OTHER BAttlecruiser isn't.
It's slow to turn, slow to stop, slow to start. Handles like a city bus with bad shocks, broken springs and worn-out brakes on an icy road, and unlike the OTHER poor-handling ship in the kDF inventory, it's not a carrier.
a VERY niche ride. It takes a special kind of person to like the Bort-it takes someone who likes slow-turning whales, yet doesn't want to pilot a Federation cruiser.
Bortas is kind of an artillery platform in need of support ships.
Sure its a huge slow brick, but it can bring some extreme amount of firepower to bear on target and can take A LOT of punishment in the process.
Before LoR and the Emergency Power to Engines revamp I could easily dominate cruisers and escorts alike with it.
Though these days it functions best as a cruiser/sci-killer.
KDF players have been asking for a ship with five forward weps and now we'll have one. But it's an Avenger with a Klink skin...and ya the Avenger itself is a good ship. Now that I'm thinking about it though I'm like "Cryptic, don't be lazy!" Give us something unique please. Or at least give this thing a battle cloak.

You see, this was what I was talking about Cryptic and Klingon designs - when they make them they hit the damn nail on the head so hard, I don't have a second thought about bying one for even a fraction of a second. I mean - this monster!! This monster just keeps screaming in my head telling me to get it asap! Well done whoever worked on it, you made me fall in love with a ship from just one screenshot.
Now please excuse me, I need to continue drooling over the screenshot for a few more days untill these hit holodeck. And if those big red things under the wings fire something in the Kumari wing canon fashion, I'm going to faint!

It's not that it's an Engie ship.... it just means it's got a bigger survivability for a tac or sci captian so that a sci captain can use their sci powers other than healing.
Besides... Photonic fleet in this beast? *shudders*
We don't want what the Feds have. We want the equivalent. We want fairer treatment. Concern, desire, greed to some extent, and passionate belief that the enough people would buy KDF items to make it worth Cryptic's while.

Count your blessings. It's a Klingon ship so at least it's an integrated cloak. If you want to cloak an Avenger you need a console from a different ship entirely.

As a guy who has been waiting for this day, all I can say is: credit card on standby! I will have the 3000Z ready if it kills me! About time the KDF got a good ship. And unlike other members of this forum, I like the 'look' of the ship, not just the 5/3 layout!

The model is however very similar to the vet ship with the deflector array of the lockbox temporal sci ship. Not bad but I would have preferred a more Tor'kaht or D7 style of pylons and nacelles.
Looking at the Fleet Pehghu and Fleet Mogh, looks like I will have to buy both and may end up liking the FP more for maneuverability.

It looks like a modernised, more offensively-oriented variant of the Negh'Var, which has the same crew stat. I'd expect it to be the same size. Heck, given that the Negh'var was heavily built around massive forward firepower on the show, I'm hoping the "classic" Negh'var look is a usable skin on the Mogh.
Pending that the scale/zoom in the ship preview is the same, it is very similar in size to the Negh'var. I flicked between the Fleet Mogh and Fleet Negh'Var with the preview in a fixed position a few times at different angles to compare the two during the Mogh's brief outing on Holodeck.
Quite a bit different than the almost escort-sized Avenger, if so.
So who has any ideas on how to build a spike cannon battle cruiser for the Mogh yet?
Hmmmm.....I knew that surpluss of nanite-disruptor Mk XII turrets and DHCs that I didn't want to sell, so it's lying around in my account bank now would come in handy one day.
I'll probably try a full 5 dual heavy cannons set with 15% crit chance build, boosted to 20% when we unlock the fleet tac modules. I'll have a beam build on standby also.

I doubt it. I interpret it as a marketing ploy to gauge the playerbase's interest. Remember, the last Klingon ship they built didn't sell so well.*
I didn't get a chance to see the stats for the Mogh, but if it stays similar to the Avenger I'll get it. I love my Avenger to death.
* For clarity's sake, that's not a slight against the Bortasqu'. It's not a bad ship, it was just too different from the rest of the lineup.
