Everyone must buy the new KDF battlecruiser!!

The first screen shot is up and I hear it will be a copy and paste of the Avenger layout - which is good news because it is an awesome ship.

I will be getting one before Christmas hopefully.

If sales go well I can only hope they release an actual Klingon science ship that is decent.

I wonder if they will open up a can of worms and give her a battlecloak??

    I doubt they will open that can, which is fine by me. I do wonder if it has a special console of some type though.

    It is extremely important that every KDF player gets one - although battlecruisers are not really my thing - cryptic decision on any further KDF ships will be based on this one - and I want a Klingon science ship!! So spend spend spend!!

    Now is the time for all KDF players who ever said, "I'd buy any C-store Klingon ship if they would make one that didn't suck" to put their money where their mouths are.

    This means I'll be snapping one up at the earliest opportunity and show Admiral Neidermeyer what's what. :)

    Saved up 3000 Zen especially for this ship :)

    2500 for the Store ship, 500 for FM :)

    Oh, I *must* buy the Avenger clone ? So nowadays the Klingon engineers have to copy a Fed ship if they want to build a proper battlecruiser. Seems they are a bunch of amateurs with no experience in designing and building battlecruisers at all.
    Guess if there ever is a new BoP it will be a clone of a fed "raider" released months earlier. :P

    I will get it but am disappointed in the power creep of new cruisers like this one making older battlecruisers like the Bortasqu and Fleet Torhkat somewhat obsolete. 5th fore weapon should be standard on all z-store and fleet battlecruisers now.

    Don't believe the hype. Klingon engineers have simply built a better mousetrap, this whole "spies in the Dyson Sphere" thing us just a misdirection ploy. :)

    (to be honest, I find that a pretty weak backstory for this cruiser too, but whatchagonnado)

    I would probably buy it if I rolled a new KDF engi. The fleet Tor'Kaht that my Tac flies has better tac seating and turn-rate than the Mogh was showing in the fleetyard. The Mogh looks like a good AtB battlecruiser, but its also pretty much redundant. We would have benefited more from a destroyer instead, something that isnt really well served by the existing ships, instead of yet another battlecruiser with 9 turn-rate and too many engi stations. I mean the Avenger as a BC is different from Fed Cruisers, the KDF copy-paste ship is a slight varition on what is already there.

    And that is something else that irritates me about it. The infocard on the ship says that KDF engineers copied the Avenger, but the Avenger infocard says it was copied from the KDF! Why does the KDF copy its own ships? I swear its like nobody's even trying.

    And why roll a KDF when you can roll a Fed and fly the same ship?

    Seriously, needs to be a destroyer that is unique to the faction, not another battlecruiser.

    Many of us KDF, myself included, refered to the Avenger as the "bettter Tor'khat". Those statements most likely influenced this release.

    I have no gripes as I look forward to using it.

    Hopefully the next vessel will be different. Lets let them know we apreciate this one so they make a next one.

    Nope. Didn't buy the Avenger, didn't buy the Kumari, didn't buy the Scimitar, won't buy this. Say no to power creep.

    I do say no to power creep, but I also say yes to new ships.

    So, as a compromise, I won't put any lobi or lockbox gear on my awesome new ship, how's that?

    Exactly - so it may not be the perfect ship that everyone wants - but I can guarantee 2 things

    1 - if it sells well there is a good chance for more - and people who buy it can give feedback towards the next

    2 - if people complain and don't buy it - it will most likely be the last kdf ship in the game.

    I have my $30 standing by. $25 for Z-Store version and $5 for my Fleet ship module.

    *Waits impatiently for next weeks paycheck*
    Current ship/builds:
    KDF Tac: Bortasqu' Tactical
    Fed Tac: Fleet Gal-X

    This isn't a 3-ship set, is it? If so, I will need to wait a paycheck before buying it. If it's only one ship, then it's happening the day it comes out.

    You know what, my evil klingon kitty hasn't seen much action since my romulan appeared but, im gonna buy this on principle alone ( oh an this may get him out of his fleet tor'khat ).

    But I laugh when I think about how much angst Cryptic would create if they were to give the KDF a 3-pack version of the Avenger.

    Already earmarked for my KDF Engy.

    It sucks but I am finally going to be retiring the TorKaht when this releases.

    The Avenger was special to the federation because from its stats its a KDF like battlecruiser. Copy/Pasting that to KDF is strange.

    How about a KDF (Klingon design) cruiser or battlecruiser..ish ship with 3 or 4 sci-consoles?

    I'd rather spend money on a pair of boots without spikes & a duras sisters dress.

    Don't have money to spare ATM but I'll buy it for my Lethean engi when I do. That's assuming it stays the same as the Avenger, of course. (If not, I'm going with the Tor'Kaht.)

    Well, silly enough, the KDF did not have a C-store Battlecruiser that handles like the other battlecruisers. So it fills that niche, and allows people to upgrade from the free Vorcha retro with an account-wide unlock. Which is awesome.

    It was one of major 2 holes in the KDF c-store line-up, and you could argue that the Raptor-sized hole is actually filled by the Guramba.
