the game is important to me because its my only way of spending time with my old Portuguese friend. and soon my brother. its a bit more than a game for me
1350+ posts and counting. 130+ pages and counting. I dont see a point anymore guys. The devs dont care. Im close to deleting this laggfest lame excuse of a game. I dl'd SWTOR last night. When will Cryptic staff realize that ignoring our legitimate complaints in this topic isn't doing the company any good. It's only a matter of time before this information spreads out to the gaming magazines, blogs and gaming website and then, it's going to spread like wildfire.
I find it unacceptable that this is nearly a week and Cryptic refuses to fix this problem. The two days would be bearable but this is going on seven days. Their silence on this issue is speaking major volumes at the level at which they are treating this.
When it's taking this long? Cryptic should be giving us daily updates and not just the general "we are working on it" excuse.

Unfortunately, I screwed myself. Game was starting up fine after Season 8 came out and the only issue I had was the Crystaline Entity would crash as soon as I entered it. Thinking that changing direct x setting my fix it, I changed to direct x 11 on the video settings. Wrong move. Now I cannot get back in as the game crashes on startup now.
Only way to play the game is to run the game in compatablity mode with Windows Xp settings. No sound but at least I can log on and get my doffs and lobi missions done.
Did a full reinstall with no luck. This really sucks guys, and needs to be the main bug issue worked on. You are going to be losing a lot of customers quickly if this is not fixed in a timely matter.

Well, figured out what the problem was for me. Evidently the Season 8 patch don't like ATI Radeon cards. I patched STO on my other computer, which is running an Nvidia 8400GS, no problems.

I appreciate the idea of a goodwill ambassador...but at the same time that is offensives... we have seen posts on other llinks in the forum from Bran... if he can tweet to you in twitter... why can't he just drop an update here.... same difference right? Having said that. Seems to me that truly would be "ignoring the affected player base" and he is in charge of forum. I am sorry but by that token I myself would feel offended.
