Chief: It's just... why would the Eblisi stop their invasion so suddenly? I mean, I get the Republic trapped most of their ships in the Bastion System, but why sstop invasions of anyone else?

The Forward unto Dawn appears with its two assualt carrier escorts.
Keyes: report
Officer: a fight definitely took place sure. From the scans seems the patrol was ambushed by a much larger force. They wouldn't have even got a call out had it not been they already where at red alert.

Officer: aye sir.

Voporak: You again? Why do you keep coming back? You're like my mirror counterpart, only that he dies before coming back. Look, if I didn't care about the timeline, I would've already done some extreme damage. But I do care. Everything has a purpose one way or another. If you'll excuse me, I have something to take care of.

Voporak to Engineering. Jirod, we're going to make a silent transjump. I need you to quietly put up the Red October's sensor dampening field, cloak the Black Phantom, and separate the two internally. We're going out the back door and hopefully returning nice and quickly. Voporak out.
Vranlek, you got the coordinates?
Vranlek: Yes. We simply need to hop along to the destination of that personal transwarp. I can put us down under cloak without anyone here or at the terminus of the jump noticing. And thanks to that new core, we got enough power to maintain full shields while still being undetectable.
Voporak: I gotta ask, can we fire weapons though the cloak?
Vranlek: We're not quite at that point yet.
Voporak: Well... that's next I guess... one step at a time.

Any random and/or mysterious comments on this? Perhaps something about me being foolish, not seeing the big picture, or generally crazy? Or maybe you could even enlighten us as to why you keep showing up, just like an annoying alternate version of myself.

I do plan on him breaking (or trying to) the "Bad Guy of the Month Cycle" he mentioned a while ago. Mucking with time can be expected, with a chance for a side dish of unleashing some firepower, if needed.
I plan on having Voporak temporarily smash the fourth wall tomorrow (maybe) so I can explain what I mean by the underlined part above (don't worry, he'll hit the Infinite Reset button and reconstruct the fourth wall when I'm done).*

Commander William Forbes, reporting as ordered.
Thompson: Ah, Commander. Welcome aboard.
Forbes: Thank you, sir. I have to admit, I was surprised to learn I was assigned to the Enterprise.
Thompson: Admiral Forrester wanted the best of the best if we're going to serve as the flagship of the 2nd Fleet.
I wish we had time for more formal pleasantries, but we're ordered to depart as soon as you reported to duty.
Forbes: Aye sir.
Thompson: All hands to Departure Stations!
*The lighting turns blue as they walk back onto the Bridge.
Before long, the Enterprise is departing Starbase 21 and warps out for Dazon II.
Meanwhile, at Dazon II, the Republic 2nd Fleet is gathering as transports continue to evacuate civilians from the system. The Romulan deadline is quickly coming up, but the Romulans have run out of patience.
6 Romulan Battleships decloak and open fire, the plasma torpedoes tearing apart a dozen Omaha-Class ships in the opening volley. However, the other ships have now raised shields and begun returning fire as the rest of the Romulan armada decloaks around them.
Within 2 hours, the Republic forces are retreating, badly bloodied. More than half the 2nd Fleet has been destroyed.
The Republic of United Star Systems and the Romulan Star Empire are at war.*
Keyes: everyone we have just been attacked by the romulans just as the republic is now at war with them. We are fighting an enemy who is mad and will do anything to destroy us. So we will return the favor in kind. We are meeting with the 22-25 battle groups to strike back. And we will help create a war on two fronts.

Soval: Administrator, I feel hyperboles are less than necessary here.
Torin: I have matters to attend to, so I will leave you to discuss.
*Torin leaves with the group discussing. T'mar pulls Tara to the side.*
T'mar: What are you doing here?
Tara: What do you mean? We're delivering medical--
T'mar: You know what I mean. Your parents--
Tara: Dad obviously respected my choice to leave enough not to get P-Sec to drag me home... and Mom didn't even care enough to tell me she was a murderer!
T'mar: Tara, what happened to your mother is incredibly complex and was incredibly hard on her. She just couldn't talk about it. To anyone.
*Meanwhile, Soval is speaking with Drake, Jack and Emma.*
Soval: I just can't figure out how the disease affected Vulcans. I can't find a single gene shared between the Vulcans, Romulans and Klingons that aren't shared by immune races. T'mar and myself are immune. T'mar's immunity must come from her human genetics and mine must come from my T'lak's syndrome. There are similarities between us in terms of genetics that other Vulcans don't necessarily share, but none that carry over to the Romulans and Klingons exclusively.
Emma: Did you cross out humans?
Soval: Yes, of course. Humans are immune. I would not be able to identify the virus from--
Emma: If you want a cure, you'd better take humans into your measurements.
Soval: Why?
Emma: During the Eugenics Wars, one of the Augment Dictators released a genetically engineered virus on the Russian Federation.
Jack: I see what she's getting at. The plague quickly spread to the rest of the planet.
Soval: Your point?
Emma: The plague was designed to affect every human, except Augments. All Augments had one genetic marker that made them immune that no normal human shared. Millions died in weeks. No cure could be found, because it was designed to be incurable by regular medicine.
How do you beat a genetically engineered virus designed to be incurable?
Jack: You genetically engineer a cure.
Soval: I doubt the Federation or Republic would consign to that plan.
Jack: They wouldn't have to. The cure used the Augment genetic immunity and placed it into the genome of every infected human. Our immune systems adapted to eliminate the virus. After 600 years, that marker is in over 99% of the human population.
Emma: Some humans actually do have the plague, and it runs rampant in them.
Soval: Which means the plague that's affecting us must share a genetic similarity with the plague unleashed in the Eugenics War.
Of course!
*He pulls up a comparison of Human, Vulcan, Klingon and Romulan DNA.*
We select the genetic similarities from Vulcans, Klingons and Romulans...
*The similarities are highlighted and isolated from the rest of their respective genomes.*
Then bring up my DNA...
*Soval's DNA comes up and automatically highlights the differences.*
Now Human DNA...
*Human DNA comes up and the similarities between Soval's DNA and Human DNA are highlighted and isolated from the plague genes.*
Soval: There are only 2 markers that I share with the average Human that I don't with other Vulcans.
Now if I bring up infected human DNA and filter out the similar genes between the two human genomes...
*One of Soval's markers vanishes. Soval claps in enthusiasm.*
Yes! That's the immunity marker!
All we need to do is find a way to...
The protein strands!
*Soval starts working on the protein strands to form the cure. After a couple of hours, he's ready to test it.
He injects the cure into a volunteer before looking back up to Torin, who's now in the room.*
It will be a few days before we'll know if it has worked. In the meantime, I've sent my findings to Holtz. I compared my notes with his findings on the Klingon immunee. She does have the same gene.
Torin: But how?
Soval: T'lak's syndrome does affect Klingons as well. Markon confirmed that she is being treated for it. This could save our people if it works.
Take out your threats rom the greatest threat and go from there?
Terry: That is one part of it. Why do you think they brought Stane into their influence... They want us at our weakest. They knew the Romulans would be bringing their war soon... They can go either way to take us out but prefer to go about an easier less dragged out way.
Chief they want us fighting each other and might use indoctrinated agents to take us down. Who know what else.
That is why they stopped at Bastion they were waiting for this and knew the Federation was a stopping agent against this. Trust me.. They won't stay at Bastion.. the border worlds from what I hear are under attack and are bogged down in a ground war.
Voporak: You again? Why do you keep coming back? You're like my mirror counterpart, only that he dies before coming back.

In Cold Blood
Terrace: we gather our forces and ready for a civil war.
Firefly:if my readings are right the unsc is split 50-50 but we have the major defense worlds and ship yards still.
Terrace: at least we have some good news. Helm set course for jirom 5
Helm: aye sir
Jacob: what about the milky way.
Terrace: Keyes is on his own for now.
Jacob: alright so lets set up base people
Terrace: agreed this will have to operate as HQ for now.
Firefly : I'll get started.
*OOC: That will be cool. Plus I think you know this guy is much more annoying than Q. You think a run in on a ground combat world would do the trick for a supply run? *
Officer: aye sir.
Comm officer: sir we are getting a report from the infinity.
Keyes: on screen.
Terrace:Keyes I'm glad your alright.
Keyes: sir the romulans have attacked the CIS has ordered an attack
Terrace: cooper and his rebels have started a civil war
*OOC: I am assuming they aren't aware fo what Holtz is trying to do... which is the same thing since he did make it partly... So maybe some cross communication?*
Holtz: *Busy at work retracing his steps and looking at the immunity marker... * Firefly patch in on the QEC relays to Vulcanus... Old Soval... I want to see if he has come up with anything..
Patrick: How long before they realize you made it.
Holtz: Dunno.. But that is irrelevant How is the subject doing?
Patrick: Her tumor is killing her painfully, I am surprised she could move around.
Holtz: Redundant systems and such it makes Klingons highly resistant... I am beginning to think that...
Patrick: Can you make a cure? to apply to all of them??
Holtz: It is not extremely hard and of course I can.. The only problem is I am not aware of a way we can disperse the cure over a large planet wide scale.
OOC: No, Soval won't know what Holtz is trying to do. Try to remember Soval's a Galaxy away. :P
*Soval comes on his screen.*
Soval: Dr Holtz, did you receive my findings?

In Cold Blood
Holtz: I just did.. Ironically it is viable and what I am doing right now. The only problem is that we need a viable solution for dispersal..
Luckily the sample I received from a Klingon Colony shows that this virus would have mutated.. The cells showed this... so time is of the essence.
Soval: Perhaps an aerosolized protein solution?

Holtz: Through which facility? One that large will take time as the other ways through the atmosphere take too long.. I do agree with the protein solution. We also need time the Romulans are pressing in..
Keyes: understood sir.
Terrace: we will be in touch
Jacob: there's not a whole lot we can do right now. Once we retake unsc space we can help him.
Terrace: all loyalist forces are being recalled to loyalist controlled space. Here is the zones the seperatists have control over.
Milky way
Keyes sits on the bridge waiting the fleet to assemble.
*Bright comes into the viewscreen... *
Bright: Keyes. From what I have heard from reports and chatter your men will take the Vanguard our Andromeda Fleets should be arriving soon at your coordinates. If the Romulans make their move...
*The Screen cuts out as Comms are lost... their alarms are blaring*
*Outside the Elibisi are arriving and dodging them while only sending one Destroyer to them. *
Comms: Sir we have bogies in bound... the contingent of them are heading into Romulan Space...
*Klingon Empire outskirts on Colony worlds the Elibisi are now crossing deeper into the Empire. Wax is standing up in his office wounds still fresh and bandaged coordinating the Defense fleets and those of the Federation...*
Wax: Damn... They are just waiting for the Romulans to speed this up and they are playing right into it...
Commander Klorth why isn't...
*The Comm is cut off and jarbled up.*
Damn it.
*He begins typing in the Republic Ambassador*
Officer: trying sir.
Keyes: all ships battle stations launch all fighters. Find out why we lost contact.
*The Elibisi Destroyer opens its maw and fires a blast destroying a vessel as the crew can feel the pressure cracking their skulls... figuratively... *
Comm: Sir the signal jamming us is known enemy.. Not romulan or anything else.
It matches the recent invasion!
