    So, launcher won't start and if it does there's a big white screen with 'Please Wait...' in the corner.

    I know people are aware of the problem and that others are having it too. It's not me or my connection, so I'm not looking for advice for work arounds. This one's one the Devs to fix not us. We're the customers and they provide the service we pay for, either through subs or through zen purchases.

    Broken stuff can take time to fix, that's fine but I'm waiting patiently for some word, anything, from the staff to say "Sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on a solution."

    I have this error as well and I have the game directly downloaded Wish cryptic would not break things with there patches

    I remember when maintenance lasted the allotted time, and not several hours after said time. You (Cryptic, PWO, whoever) really should consider getting better servers if they cannot handle the load.

    Service seems to have deteriorated ever since PWO took over, but that's just my perspective.

    Anyone noticed that all the tracerts seem to time out at

    ".atlas.cogentco.com" ?


    On a side note, I can see this thread hitting 100 pages pretty fast.

    How do I link my PC to a phone? I have a Droid DNA so I assume it is possible. Just not sure how (I conntect via ethernet cable to a router for internet connection right now). I do not have a wireless PC.

    :eek: this worked for me (i'm currently in the character selection screen)
    1 switched to my mobile phone connection
    2 downloaded the patch and launched the client
    3 in character selection window switched back to my home connection
    4 got disconnected from the server
    5 logged in again without closing the game
    6 i'm in...:D

    Hi.. i have checked when the patching started ( 2pm UK ) and was only lasting for 2 hours.. it is now 6:45pm and i can't load the launcher... keeps giving me a connection error..

    and even more worrying is when i run a Ping on the "www.startrekonline.com" website it comes back as Timed out.. 100% loss..

    these maybe UN-related, but i can't get on the game? is the patching taking longer than expected or is this another issue.. if so how can i fix this..

    They never said it wasn't their connection. The did say it was possibly an ISP issue, they just never directly said it was yours. To those that are just being cynical and spiteful, please have patience.

    from what I have heard it is in fact a problem on PayPal's part. Something about a problem transferring the data from PayPal's Servers to Perfect World Entertainment's servers. I did in fact speak to one of the Billing Rep's on the phone as well as get a ticket resolved regarding this issue and both of those said the exact same thing. My next step is to contact PayPal and find out exactly what is going on. But if they say (as you claim) that we are being scammed, then I will be highly annoyed, because generally Perfect World Entertainment has been extraordinarily good at getting money issues taken care of.
