  • Is HR's permastun a bug or a design error?
  • Good to see the devs now finally realize what the players have always known.

  • I thought about this being a legit scenario if the earnings in each bracket (10-19 20-29 etc.) are indeed the same and I'm actively thinking about going the same route, because I can't effectively farm at 70 against BiS premades. Another way would be to activate multiple ALTs and hop on and off easy wins, eating the leaver…
  • It won't work that way. People will camp "not-so-easy" matches and start initiating the forfeit vote until it gets through. There's no difference whether one player quits, sits in the spawn or decides it would be better to forfeit. In all scenarios you're left undermanned and slowly your team will concede one after another…
  • This might make sense in certain situations, but generally speeding up matches is not a good idea for plethora reasons. If you want to guide players to do stuff that actually contributes to winning it should come from the points system. Capping nodes should give 300/x, where x are the players capping the node or be…
  • My question is: What's the difference between not having a leaver penalty at all and a leaver penalty with a forfeit option? I get PVPers like to hold onto the penalty because it's the one bit of improvement they could get in a gazillion modules, but giving teams the option to forfeit is just another way of saying that…
  • Depends. If I'm not getting an Aquamarine every time or the lag gets worse I'll just split and do my own thing. The math is simple. A Great Success is four times the RP of just a completion and I don't need four times longer to finish a HE alone.
  • No it's not for the reasons I stated.
  • If the rewards are really based on winning matches and the system stays the same it is now, it's not going to be a tournament, but a farming spot for the already rich. The environment needs to be a solo queue with a stricter matchmaking than currently. I would assume a team has worked on the league for quite some time now…
  • I don't even think additional ilvl/tenacity brackets are needed. Forcing people into a solo queue for leaderboard purposes would be a sufficient step towards a competitive system.
  • Yeah of course. I mean, the algorithm is probably fine, it's a matter of how much matchmaking is allowed to go up and down the ranking to find a matchup. In my eyes no match is better than any match, because any match will result in spawn camping, which is essentially no match anyway.
  • What you need to do is judge queue times: The longer it takes, the fewer players around your rating are in the queue and the higher the chances matchmaking will match up and down and produce bull****. I would absolutely avoid queues >120 seconds. That works the other way round as well. If you have a solid team and want an…
  • The wavelike behavior (long stints of losses and wins) of matchmaking is something that has been described before and is actually not an indication that the ELO is working, but that it doesn't have enough players to work with. I can't dig up the link right now, but I found estimation how many players you need in each tier…
  • The variance of opinions is not surprising since the matchmaking is very depended on when and how you queue and your actual ranking. No matter how you spin it, logic demands that the leaderboard eligible queue at least should be a solo one. And then I just pugged into a team in which nobody had more than 60k HP. That's…
  • Like PVP in this game and the reputation attached to it is important enough to DDoS. Nobody cares, chill dude.
  • Pugging into KR with ilvl of 1800 means getting kicked a lot.
  • There's always a selling point and the truth. Working ELO, leaver penalty. Bag space, refining system. ...
  • The only thing I hope for is that benefits gained through Strongholds only affect Stronghold content. You shouldn't be forced into a guild to get the latest stuff/buffs/boons for PVE and PVP. Strongholds should be a separate environment for guild wars/play, sort of what GG was supposed to but never provided.
  • Here's a full preview of the lockbox btw.: http://blog.nwo-uncensored.com/eternal-flame-lockbox-preview/
  • No, that's not how the Enchantments work on dummies. Because mobs don't have a "defense" stat, it has always been a straight debuff. ArPen is a non-factor on dummies anyway as well. Also, my CW with 60% ArPen is getting decreased effectiveness for all enchantments. It's bugged.
  • Seems to be yet another paywall. Not a good idea at all. If we could raid mount upgrades, sure, but the amount of stuff that's gated behind ADs or horrible RNG is beyond pathetic.

  • Trans Terror and Trans Plague Fire also bugged still and are buffing mobs / debuffing owner.
  • I don't think it's that bad if you are actually able to premade. It becomes a problem in instances like Tiamat where you are forced into weak groups or if the gear you need to complete the dungeon takes unreasonably long to acquire. Anyway, great read! Here are other guides of ToS and GWD.
  • I think it has been stated by most people that the joy they are getting out of it is minimal. I personally would think those premades would actually queue up for Domination if it was guaranteed they'd face another premade. Nobody has fun walking around the battleground just waiting for the match to get over. That's wasted…
  • Actually it should be exactly the other way round. Domination should be the competitive format for solo and full premade queues and GG the casual format without restrictions, matchmaking and the leaver penalty. GG is fine as it is. In case you are in one of those lopsided affairs, you can quickly drop out and re-enter.
  • No. Even if people teamed up for PVP, there would still be a huge gear and skill gap that's not efficiently handled by the matchmaking algorithm, mostly because it doesn't have enough players to work with and the devs decided any match is better than no match. So the complaint is that under the current matchmaking, which…
