I played the adventure again. These are my thoughts after playing after your revisions. SPOILER ALERTI like how the nobleman is close to the tavern. I've played a lot of adventures where they have me running around Protector's enclave for no good reason. Did you mean to put that many banners in the inn? They look out of…
I'm glad I could help :D I'm also writing humor storylines. Just like in theater, it's easier to do humor than drama. Part of the reason is this -- if you don't have a believeable door by the city gate, make it part of the gag! NPC - "And the passage to the village market is there!" Hero - "That door leads to someone's…
These notes I took while playing your quest.SPOILER ALERTI liked the decor on the inn. I like how some of the characters back backstory. That's cool. I like how you named all the characters. It goes a long way. Can you add some random NPC conversations, just to add flavor? "Thankyou" is in the conversation with Phipps. Put…
This is what I noticed while playing the mission SPOILERSStart your quest giver closer to your quest entrance. Don't make me run across Protector's Enclave for no good reason. Can you slow down the pat speed to .5 for your patrolling NPC mobs in merchants square. Some of their paths feel a bit odd. If its ever possible, I…
I am typing this while I play the quest. If the reactions seem off, its because they are what i was thinking of while playing it. I find this is the best way to give the most in depth review. I ran this quest on my lvl 33 controller wizard. WARNING SPOILERS AHEADLots of running around in Protector's Enclave. I'm poor and…
SPOILER WARNING I type in notes as I run the quest. If it seems like I missed something, or that it was addressed later on, its because I am typing as I play the quest. I ran this quest on my lvl 25 rogue. Before I did the quest, I explored the village a bit. I do this all the time. I liked how you gave all the NPCs in the…
Thanks for taking the time to play. I've changed it up a bit. I've added more to the inn encounter (including an Iron Chef competition) and adding sub-plots. As I've seen the average time drop, I may have to make some of those sub-plots become main plots. The magic time is 15-20 minutes to complete. Did you like the…
Ill mod up those enounters for you. Ill also change bobby flay to be a drow assassain, and guy fire-ri to be a flame using dameon. Ill make all those mid-difficulty encounters and the last one to stay hard. Ill do your adventure sunday night and post my thoughts in your post. :D
These are the things I noted while playing with your quest. - What was up with the ale as an exit over just the gate? I'm just curious. - Good use of Authors note and the end of the conversation with liana. - After talking with Liana, she should not longer keep saying "It is you, the one from my vision" You had to make a…
@voivodak and tripsofthrymr -- I just made major changes to the quest line. I have taken out the village section entirely and will use that as the basis of the second campaign. The entire first section is in the inn. This is due to multiple people mentioning that the 'village' felt like an add on. As such I'm going to just…
LOL Seriously. You can quantify 'fun'. I worked for Electronic Arts for 2 years, and 'fun' was often a thing discussed in game development. There was more than one game in development that was described as 'cool' but not really 'fun' While your right, some people will grind through mobs for hours on end and call that…
I like that idea a lot. I'm also spending a lot of time today working on the village. Instead of having 4 random NPCs stand around doing nothing, I'. fleshing out the village. As the villagers have recently come into a lot of free time (with zombies doing their farming for them) they have picked up new crafts. I've created…
The fastest way to burn out is to rush to end game. If your looking for just end game raiding, fork out the 15 bucks a month and play WoW. They cater to their end game crowd, and have enough resources to do it well. This game is awesome for casual play and to see what the player base has created.
Thanks for the input. Ill move the bandits around, and maybe change them to orks but alter the skins. I was afraid to ramp up the encounters to much, but if you think they are a bit to easy I can do that. If you have any suggestions for jokes or changes, just IM me, and Ill be happy to make changes. Humor is hard, as what…
My wife and I did the adventure last night. If you can, please review my adventure shown in my sig file. It should take 10-20 min to complete. I would appreciate any tips you have with your experience with this toolset. The thread where I am tracking changes is shown below.…
Hey, can I ask a favor. When you review my quest in return, can you post the review in my thread? http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?304062-Trade-Reviews-Looking-for-input/page2 Its a lot easier to have all the comments in one place than go digging around for them. Thanks!
I used teleporters in my map to help save loading screen time. The problem I've found is that the teleport icons are not as user friendly as map transition points. When players are looking at my ladder to the cellar its reading "Press F to teleport" and I cannot change it. Aside from that problem, I think teleporters are a…
Have the quest start with a message from Sergent Knox, asking the player to meet him in an inn. Then make Sergent Knox in your first map (the inn) and proceed to explain the quest.
Anytime man. I now know how much time goes into these projects. Having people give you as much feedback as possible I think is really helpful. What I do is just keep a notepad open on my second monitor and type up what I'm thinking as I'm playing it. I really dug your dungeon a lot, and look forward to the next one(s) you…
