Interesting storyline. Will this be a series of quests? If you planned on turning this into a 2 part quest, the ending for the first one makes sense. I partnered with a friend to run through it but I could have easily soloed it with my 30 cleric without companions. The transitions added to the detail and storyline. If you'd like to run through mine you can find it here NW-DEUNCAZP7. Depending on your class and healing potions you may be able to solo it.
I've added you to my list of foundry quests to play and review. Please check out my first quest.
Descendant of Simon Part 1 -- NW-DDMY3WOTA --
Any and all criticism is welcome. Thanks.
Just played through it, it was a lot of fun with nicely balanced combat and an enjoyable plot. Reg's home in particular looked good.
I would make the following comments: -
I noticed a couple of typo's and default text eg. 'Press F to travel'.
The decorations in the tavern felt a little sparse.
The Bruiser in the sewer got stuck under the platform (not your fault but it might be an idea to change their spawn point).

Left a review for you in-game. Not bad, but could use a lot of polish. Need to play with more manual decorations instead of the defaults and definitely manually adjust the encounters. A tight line of archers standing there doing nothing comes across as lazy. Story was decent and I'd be interested in seeing where it goes. Again, nothing WRONG with it as is, but needs some work to separate it from the pack.
If you get a chance, give mine a try and let me know what you think. Link and code are in the sig.
The dancing couple in the inn were neat. In fact all the people at the inn were nat. I liked their flavor.
Its always hard to do NPCs in combat encounters. When I read the book all the ruffians went and attacked the people at the inn and not me. Maybe you can make all the NPCs dissapear for that encounter then have them respawn.
I liked the bodies in the sewer, nice touch
I liked the earthquake effect after killing the sewer lord
The sewer encounter was fun. It was a lot of combat encounters, and got a bit repetative after a while. Could you make a few of the bodies jump up and attack?
The traps in the sewer in the hallway got me every time. In the rooms I was able to spot them.
The house was nice. I like how you decorated it. Put the blue campfire a bit more into the hearth. Its standing just a touch to far out.
What lantern fixture did you use in the rooms? I really like the lighting effect from it.
I liked how you gave the bodyguards names instead of very generic descriptions.
I would have liked to be able to read the wife's note. The quest ended to quicky for me to. Maybe if it was an contact item instead of interaction item.
I would have liked more dialogue with the NPCs at the start. Why were those 3 ladies so interested in the man by the fireplace. You could even make that a side quest -- which are lots of fun and add debth. In fact, I think there was a lot more you could have done with the inn all together.
Overall, it was a good adventure. I enjoyed it.
Could you please review mine? Its in the sig file and takes 15-20 min

Short quest story centered with a challenging encounter. Will message you my review or post it here.
Just finished your quest. I liked it. The final revelation was well thought and developed. The only thing i felt missing was more dialogue and maybe more characters to interact with, maybe to have a better context. Maybe in the next part? I will be waiting for it

Hey, great story man. I have reviewed about a dozen foundry missions, and this one was the first where I actually would like to continue the story. Won't spoil it for those that haven't played it yet. So I will comment no more on the plot.
The dungeon and the inn were very well detailed. Only saw a few things you might want to fix.
1. There is a lightning bolt in the sewers near Thorax.
2. The lizards (Don't remember the actual name) there were two of them. As I entered the room they attack, but got under the platform. Suggestion-moved the stairs to the side of the room where the player enters and they will run up there.
Gave you five stars and a fat tip.
Nice quest

Thanks. This was a good quest. Very clear. Good for daily foundry. I gave it a good review in-game.
One of the nagging flaws I have seen in other quests is the first time you search for an npc in the enclave, the blue square isn't over their head but in their chest. Not sure what to do about that, if anything.
Also, I clicked on your cat avatar as it walked in, but things that walk stop talking to you. So, you might get a better reader-rate if that animal's path was shorter.
Those aren't really major or important comments. Good job.
If you have the chance, please review my new quest: NW-DBLLB920C

Hello, I just went through your quest. Nice and simple. The environments were very good! I will look forward to seeing chapter II.
Also, I hit lvl 60 on your quest! I guess that counts for something!
I have the code for my quest in the sig. If you find some time, I would be happy for a review
1) The use of pre-generated environments means players are used to "choke points" that make great places for combat encounters. I was able to pre-guess around half he "surprise" encounters in the sewer section simply because I was familiar with the environment.
2) I really, really liked the idea of a Mystery Quest, but it didn't really happen. There was no enough Story / Lore / Dialogue to build any level of intrigue or mystery, and frankly, the conclusion wasn't even close to a surprise. NOTE: I am saying this with having read a single in-game or forum review of this quest.
3) I'm not sure what the "Check your inventory" note was about, when I checked my inventory there was a note saying "check your inventory". Did I miss something.
4) Those criticisms aside, the pace of the Quest was good, the encounters kept me on my toes (except for the obvious "surprise" points) and the combat was of reasonable difficulty - think my companion died twice, and I had to use 2 or 3 health pots.
5) The basic premise and potential of a good Mystery Quest is there in your story-line, and I really like those kinds of things and would love to see the dialogue / internal lore / story elements adapted to bring that potential out.
There was nothing at all "bad" about the quest, but a few things that were "medium" and the lost potential of a genuine Mystery did detract.
Rated and reviewed, nice work. I agree with some of the points made above. I feel like it's a good quest, but that the story could be taken to another level. But then when I think about how to do it, I can't come up with anything, it's logical as is. And since there will be a Part 2, there will be time to expand on it later. Maybe redneckronin's last point is the answer, all you need to do is find a way to deepen the "mystery". Perhaps add a bit more interesting lore about the Count so that he becomes more intriguing and mysterious.
One thing to consider. The sound effects when you go underground (screaming voices in the background) are cool, but I'm not sure they're a perfect match for what's happening onscreen. I kept expecting to encounter some kind of mass human sacrifice altar around every corner!
Really can't think of any obvious typos or mistakes, everything is laid out and presented nicely. 4/5
