To add any chat channel, just type "/channel_join " and then the channel name. Then it will appear as a channel selection along with "zone", "say", ect.
For this case, you would type "/channel_join NW_Legit_Community" (without quotes of course)
Thanks! Now... How do I turn off LFG, Zone, and Trade - only want to see the Legit_Community conversations?
The easiest way to manage all your channels (including joining new ones) is to press ALT on your computer to go into mouse mode. Hover over the CHAT box and click the PLUS symbol (+) - this opens your channels management. Look at what's there, also note there are a few tabs along the top.
Those channels with a checkmark in them are what you are "subscribed" to. Remove the checkmark to turn off that channel.
Also note under the custom there is a search box. Type in partial names of any channel you're looking for (such as LEGIT) and a results list will appear. Checkmark the ones you want to join.
Woops! Now, how do I SPEAK in the Legit channel? What do I type? I tried /zone but it didn't work.
Go to mouse mode - hover over chat box - notice on the left of the box where you type is "speech bubble" symbol - click that and choose the default channel you want to speak to.
just notice, this channel. Is there a guideline on using this channel.
I'm a pretty new CW with 11k GS, but i find it very hard to run with ppl in the lfg channel, as most only want ppl with high GS or Fast run. (hardly learn anything from the way they zerg the dungeon)
What do i post if i'm looking for a T2 run, Or if i really need the Gear not for AD but for equip
Thank for answering my **** questions

The channel is really about providing a way for those that don't cheat to find likeminded people to team with. If there's one piece of advice I can offer, it's to be considerate, patient, and to work things out with your teammates when it comes to gear and how the team should operate.
Generally, GS doesn't matter as much as a willingness to work together and be friendly.
Good luck!

As this is my first post here, I'm Asthir. Joined legit chat a few weeks ago, and I've had a great time with everyone I came in contact with from it. I have 2 questions:
1. Is there a (legit) guild in here which would have a TR? My play time is limited; I can only get on for a few hours after I come from work, sometimes not even then, but when I'm on, I'm available for anything anyone might need. Just don't impose any hardcore player requirements, as I'm here for the pleasure of the game, not to become the best in history.
EDIT: Normally, I'm on Monday through Friday for 3-6 hours starting 17:00-17:30 GMT, and randomly throughout the day during weekends.
2. Does anyone do AD or ZEN loans? I only just found out that there is a sale on keys, and I've tried to look into any possibility to make 1k ZEN until the offer ends... it's safe to say that I can't do it in 2 days, so I'm trying this instead. I WILL pay back, with interest if need be; all I want is a shot at 10 keys. As a payback time frame, I'd ask for 1, maybe 2 weeks, considering my schedule and the time I can dedicate to the game.
EDIT: I think it's appropriate to add the following: I realize this question is more of a gamble, as there are trust issues involved, so I obviously won't take a 'no' personally.
Now that I got those 2 questions off my back, one last thing: thanks for creating this place.
i'm sure there are many legit guilds, although i am not aware that there is an official "NW_Legit_Community" guild. your post may be better off in the guild recruitment forum with your guild requirements. recruiting players will usually contact you with info.
there is no way to transfer AD or zen between accounts. if someone wanted to help you out, they could purchase the keys and send them to you however player agreements are not recommended because they are not enforceable by PWE. no offense to you or anyone... the only way i would do anything like this is if it were a gift or if i knew the person in real life. just my two cents on that.
Perfectly understood. I'll try the guild forum right now. As for the ADs, I managed to get a loan via the AH, through chat. Wasn't very lucky with the keys, but such is life.
Thanks for your reply.

Yeah... I don't understand all the codes in the NW Legit thing... I don't understand the codes period heh. Is there a guide showing what everyone is talking about? I am not a **** player, but I still feel like one with all the CW 2/3 something something CC 45. HR=MC2... (I know the last might not be a thing, but that's how I see it

It's not so much codes as lazy...err I mean abbreviations Also it's not much different (if at all) to those used in the world in general.
You'll see class abbreviations - GF, HR, DC, GWF, CW and TR
You'll see dungeon abbreviations:
CT - Cloak Tower, CC - Cragmire Crypt, etc.
A couple of exceptions are
Throne of (?) Idris is often just referred to as Idris
Karru - Caverns of Karrundax (sometimes CK or CoK)
Look at the Q list and it's easy enough to work out usually.
Note that when referring to dungeons, assume that they are talking epic level, except maybe Dread Vault when you might see DV or EDV (normal or Epic)
1/4, 2/3 etc refer to the number of bosses in the dungeon (2nd number) and the number you are planning to do.
So LF1M CW CN 1/4 = looking for 1 more Control Wizard for Castle Never 1 boss out of 4.
Then there are all the class power abbreviations eg CoI - Control Wizard's Conduit of Ice
You might see a CW say EF on tab, ST, CoI, Shard AS OF MM CC basically they are detailing the powers they have loaded.
Go to the wiki here - http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Class
Choose whichever class and scroll down to see a list of powers.
Oops nearly forget, there are also abbreviations for class gear too - HV - High Vizier set, KC - Knight's Captain set, etc.
Hope this helps, I'm sure you'll soon be fluent in abbreviations.
Having said all that if in doubt, just ask, there's plenty of people there that will be happy to help.

That doesn't work. I pasted that command in the chat but when I press Numpad 7 nothing happens.
If you copied and pasted it then it should work. Just checking, but are you already a member of the channel? Only reason why I would think it could fail.

At first I pasted the other command to join the channel and since the second line is actually a key binding command I didn't think it would create any conflicts. And it shouldn't create conflicts.

You will also get some joke answers when asking about abbreviations, but they should be easy enough to pick out the real from the fake.
Oh yes! That helps a lot thank you!
Gotcha thanks!
