It would help to know more about what the problem is. Could it simply be that you use upper-case in Channel and Join? Also, there's a thread for the channel that might help:
I have tried to join this chat line multiple times and it never works for me. Either if I make it in I can't for the love of me see where and how to actually use it. I never ever see anyone in there even though I am 100% positive that there is action/chat etc...I think it is a "me" issue.
I desperately would love to participate in this community but so far nothing works for me.
So I ask my fellow gamers to please post in lay terms or step by step instructions on how to access the channel and if so possible, to save it as a tab (also need instructions on that part please).
Much appreciated.
OP, I am sorry to hear you are having an issue. You can follow the steps dardove provided to join the channel via the menu system. Hope to see you in the channel soon!

I don't believe the channel_join command is case sensitive.
Me neither, but it's the only thing I can think of other than reading the thread I linked to.

Erm legit channel discussion is now rp? Why this moved to moonstone mask...
Anyway, if you follow the directions above you should see nw legit channel in your list of custom channels, and it should show 1k+ members (in case you mispelled the channel and are alone in a custom channel).
Next you should make a new chat tab for nw legit so you can filter it out from all the spam. My legit tab has only legit, party, whisperd, and guild chat in it and its my main chat tab 99% of the time so i'm rarely ever exposed to zone/lfg/trade spam and gold sellers.

The Moonstone mask subforum isn't just for RPing. It is also for basic help with the game among other things.

My experience with the legit channel guys is they are good players with good attitudes. It's a nice option, because unless you land in a really good guild, most new players are lost in this game.

I'd like to thank all those who continue to make the channel a great place to meet and chat with like-minded people! We're almost at 1200 members!

. . .Actually.... the main thread (now merged into) has been here since shortly after its creation, some three months ago. The Moonstone Mask covers more than just RP.

If my guild can't get in house delves up and running we always try the Legit Community first.
Like any community they can vary. Some are quite a bit zergy. Some are quite a bit slow.
However I can't say I ever had a bad experience with anybody in the channel in an actual delve.
At the very least the Legit Community is community minded and has always been willing to accommodate for different players in their group as long as the job gets done and that is all you can ask for, really.
Hey fellow players! In response to some recent threads and previously started chat channels, I have created a new chat channel for all players who wish to be able to run dungeons, skirmishes, and other events, without using cheats or exploits. This channel is open to all, and is called NW_Legit_Community. You can easily join this channel by typing /channel_join nw_legit_community
A convenient bind to allow easy typing into the channel is:

So, how friendly are you to newbies, my wife and I have just started, both lvl5, I'm a wizard, she is a ranger. I have limited experience of mmos and raids etc, but my wife has non. We like the game so far but I'm worried that being forced to look for groups and ending up in a HAMSTER one who moan that we aren't good enough, will spoil the experience for us both. Is this channel more welcoming of newbies?
For the most part the channel is very tolerant of new players. Many of the regulars will help you with answers to any questions you may have, or go through a dungeon with you the first time you run it.

Overall, the people you'll find in NW_Legit_Community are very patient with other channel members. Just keep in mind that most people in the channel are already level 60, so it may be more difficult to find teams for lower level dungeons.
That being said, most folks are all to happy to answer questions and provide helpful tips or information.
Welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing you in chat!

I strongly recommend the channel, i finally ran my firsts 2 t2 instances few weeks ago and went perfect, after that its being great, i even completed sp with ppl that were around 10.5k gs the highest its all about your skills (yes even in a video game). You can also have "serious" conversations about gear and stats, and things like that without the usual trolls (offensive and abusive ones), of course you'll find one or 2 that cant control themselves but non place its perfect, but i still recommend the channel, just behave...doesn't mean to be a saint

Gotta say thanks to the NW legit community for helping me run my first (loot-successful) epic dungeons yesterday. Got both a CT and a CC in during the dungeon delve event, and got my first ever T1 piece. Thanks NW Legit!

5. Of course, the whole motivation for creating the channel was to provide a haven for those that don't want to cheat/exploit, and don't want to team with those that cheat or exploit, either. As such, please do not discuss or promote the details or use of any cheat or exploit. *UPDATE* PWE/Cryptic reserves the right to define what a cheat or exploit actually is - the examples provided below don't cover all instances, so please use your best judgement when playing.
So what is a cheat/exploit? Since it covers so many possible activities or behaviors, I shall limit the discussion to those that specifically affect dungeons. I break them down into 2 categories:
A. Map cheats - using unintended holes or glitches/flaws in the terrain to skip content and/or gain an unintended advantage over the enemies. This can also include utilizing game mechanics in a way that wasn't intended - like campfire suicide runs. Generally, though, this means things like finding a hole that lets you pass through a barrier and so on.
B. Enemy AI cheats - this is where you exploit a flaw or limitation in the enemy AI to gain an advantage. I'm not talking about simply taunting or luring enemies away - I'm referring to situations where you can get an enemy to be unable to attack you, while you are at no risk whatsoever, or other such behaviors.
The above is in no way exhaustive, and I prefer that conversations in the channel stick to the "spirit" of the rules, rather than their literal word.
Thanks again for reading, and if you have any constructive feedback, please feel free.

Looks like words to live by. Just enough rules to keep things focused on the purpose of the channel, and plenty of freedom.
Glad to see the channel continues to grow...too bad that always means the unspoken rules need to be spelled out.

I can understand your concern, but it becomes a very precarious situation because there's no way to distinguish an actual complaint about someone cheating from someone trying to grief/harass/ban someone else by *saying* that they saw them cheat. By having moderation on the channel, where such "naming and shaming" is not permitted, you kind of limit the issue a bit.
I've updated the rules to reflect this - please bring any issues to the attention of a GM. Let's keep accusations out of the channel.
