Well, in the end, it's not like this is some kind of PvP-centric based game where it really matters what the other guy has gear-wise. It's a relaxed MMORPG using the D&D IP - nothing more, nothing less.

I honestly don't really care what some crazy exploiter has that's better than me. It's w/e - however - I have already received emails in game from friggin' gold sellers with AD for $x amount... if the farmers are able to exploit millions of AD and sell it for real cash, we have a serious issue.

Yep and they do it all for free. This has been my whole point from post number 1.

I was VERY much against this idea a few days ago. I've seen it happen myself now though, I'm up for a wipe.
The economy is screwed over and we're not even live. That's laughable and horrible.

I've spend 40 euro's on this game in the past 2 weeks, simple because I enjoy it. But the way things are now, I see no reason to keep playing for longer periods of time, it'll just bite me in the ***. So many bugs, exploits and people cheating.. They've pretty much burried themselves before the real launch, sad..

If you were to read all the posts in here from page 1 through to here, you will notice that a few days ago alot of other people were also against it, yet over the past few days and more and more people realizing how bad it is and how it is only getting worse, they have changed thier tune as they posted more and more often.

Yes I agree, at first wiping the servers seems like an extreme method, but it is honestly needed.

If PW don't do this, then we know what PW's focus and goal is here, $$$$.

All public listed companies have $$$$ as their focus and goal. Try again.

There is a massive difference between one of payments and continous revenue.

I am pretty sure PW is aiming for the later and running the game in to the ground for a one off payment, won't serve them any justice or there share holders when it comes to dividend time.

Here's what I don't get - leveling is beyond easy - borderline trivial. AD comes from dailies and whatnot. Gear is handed to you, pretty much. If shiit is screwed up, reset it. What's the big deal?

They don't have to refund anything... just reset people's Zen. Give the players who purchased packs, fresh packs.

BAM - done and we can move on.

People will biitch and moan for a couple of days, some will be drama queens and leave for a while, but most will stay. There will be 20 posts or so from the drama queens, but the vast majority of the population doesn't come to the forums anyway.

Better to get it done while they can still use the "open beta" excuse. Not that they technically "need" any excuse...

I still think the better solution would be to wipe the AD after fixing the exploits though. People get to keep their names and characters that way.

No, he didn't "proved" anything, lmao... it's just an issue of another team being responsible for that particular page. And how would it "bankrupt cryptic" ? lol...

There are no do overs in real life. Can you imagine winning the jackpot at the casino and they say ... hey to many people have won today so we will need to reset today. We'll give everyone how much money they started with ... so it's all good okay?

Good luck with that.

Sooo....if they wipe...do I get the millions in Astral Diamonds I paid for back and the ones I earned legitimately since I didnt do Foundry missions to get to 60? And do I get a refund on all the Zen I paid for?...I dont think PWE coud afford to return that much cash.

Imho, so many players have used and abused so many ways to level and cheat their way through to max level and farm millions of AD via exploits and in my eyes, these people have already quit the game.

There should be a full game wipe of all characters once all the issues are fixed and rectified.

Imo you shouldn't be worried, why? because most likely they will fix this fast leveling HAMSTER in time for "official" release but also probably open up more servers so if you feel that you've been somehow how cheated and beat by other players getting ahead of you you'll be able to start on a fresh new server from zero just like everyone else.

Hate to be the one to break this to you chief.. but this is a video game on the internet.. not real life, lmao. Your comparison has no value.

There are most certainly do-overs in a game that is in the pre-live release open-beta stages.

Yes, NO, and you should get the ZEN you paid for back... not a refund for the Zen itself. IMO anyway.

It is all but too late my friend. The game has secretly gone Live with no warning or announcement in a bid to entrap people into thier purchases with no way out as the Open Beta could of been looked upon like a cooling off period, but now that it has gone live you are pretty much saying you are happy with your current purchase.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt after STO was a major flop, I assumed they couldn't make the same mistake twice, boy was I so wrong.

There is alot of games coming out this year and I will just cut my losses and shift over to one of them and just ride the waves here until then and not spend any more money on this game, like I expect many others won't be ethier.

PW, you had something great going here, shame you have dropped the ball on it so badly.

Well technically Companies ARE after your money...it is WHY companies exist...all Companies/Corporations exist to do one PRIMARY thing....earn a profit....that is getting you to pay for something they provide at a higher price than they had to pay to provide it.

Of course, there is no current plan to release new servers, but one could hope. (and not just merely new servers, but new servers with different option and settings)

You've never played a live MMO which did rollbacks to fix an exploit?

The other option is to see what happens, and if I had to guess I don't really see the game lasting 6 months without a reset. They missed their window of opportunity to solve this with bans. All it would do at this point is minimize further damage to the economy. If they want to see this game go the long-haul (which they should, the game itself is super enjoyable) it pretty much needs a reset. However, if they just wanted a quick burst of cash, I'd say they're pretty much right on track. How they handle this will pretty much decide if I'll ever give Cryptic/PWI titles a try in the future.

No because I play quality mmo's that ban exploiters and rollback individual characters rather than a do server wide rollback to placate people that wasted resources originally given to them.

Yes, I've seen the thread. One tiny infographic on a single site doesn't convince me. Mistakes are easy to make. I HIGHLY doubt the devs would "secretly" release a game with no announcement whatsoever, lmao.

If they did exactly that, then egg will be on my face and i will find a different company to give my money to, because that seems VERY shady.

Actually, if PW doesn't do it, their goal is to make as much money as they can in a few months time and then let it die.

No real company would ever do that so I think they're just plain ignorant. A better game while listening to the community means more money in the long run, thus making more money in total.

My sentiment exactly, speak with your wallets at this point. Not that I think it matters as they have already made thier quick buck.

The real question is, was thier quick buck enough to cover the R&D for the game?

This will be the last time I ever pay money to PW, as I refuse to pay SoE and NCSoft as well for any of there poor titles these days also.

Bring on the kickstarters, the way of the future is Kickstarter.

Inflation is normal and natural.

Remember when 100G was alot in wow, and not you can make that in an hour. The same applies. An inflated economy (through whatever reason) can be compensated by increase the rewards an an increase in the amount of services (aka inflation).

Would it matter if exploiters had 2m AD when the daily gives you 500k? You guys panic like the world is over with no real understanding about the fundamentals of economics.

Keep whining rather than providing a solution, you'll get far in life that way.

You can ethier accept how the game is in its current downward spiral state and pretend it doesnt effect you even though we all know it does OR be part of the solution.

Which one are you? Solution or problem? robetthetard has clearly chosen problem.
The game has been live how long? I ask Cause If it is only two weeks... Then I would hardly call it a spiral yet. Now, if I have to play against some of these folks who played the system I would have a problem. But If I can play the game in its entirety in PvE I don't see a reason to reset the whole game. The Economy... maybe. If their actions has actually messed up the economy then by all means set that back to square one.

I went through quite a few resets in MWO... losing a week or two is nothing. Lose 2 months... 3 times! Then come talk to me.

On a final note. Name calling only makes the one throwing around the names look bad.

No one wasted anything, people are accuring massive riches for free both virtually and physically. You seriously can't be this dumb.

AD farmers have already started on the bandwagon, how much Zen and real life cash do you think they are forking out to accure what they need?

Seriously dude enough is enough with your blatant and condescending attitude claiming anyone who remotely cares about the longevity of this game instantly *blew* there AD and is now looking for a free hand out.

The notion is nothing more then a slap in the face to people who care, are passionate about the issues that are driving this game into the ground and have the drive to actually want the game to succeed.

Grow up.
