  • Thanks, all, for your much-appreciated insight. As always. Xrazamax, thanks for posting all that data. AND the screen captures of Distinguished and Determination gear. Very thoughtful and helpful of you. Did I understand correctly? Does the Teleios Core actually increase cooldown time? I sincerely hope the Devs will…
  • Thanks for the clarity, Aiqa. I've apparently lept to an inaccurate conclusion regarding the core. Thanks for helping rectify that. May I ask a few follow up questions? Does that 10 percent increase to effectiveness extend to a Gadgeteer's pets? To Orbital Cannon? And is there an increase to cooldown time? Thanks in…
  • The Teleios Gadget Cores seem to be underperforming when compared to their counterparts the Depleted Uranium Cores and the Dragon's Eye Cores. A 4 percent increase to damage and a 5 percent increase in cool down? And no increase to pet damage? Respectfully, Gadgeteer is NOT an overperforming powers set, generally speaking.…
  • Best idea I've heard yet. THIS would put it on par with Justice Gear.
  • See? I shouldn't have been expressing an opinion when I was under-informed. Thanks, Xrazamax. Even when I'm not personally a fan of perception cores (I did see @aiqa's post), knock/repel or specific damage resistance would actually be hugely helpful. Thanks for the response.
  • That's one of best ideas I've heard. In the immortal words of Austin Powers, "Yay capitalism!"
  • Under Distinguished Gear, it says, "Unique modifications. New modifications have been added with new effects to further customize your gear." Is that anything special? I'm not on PTS. Are they just referring to the new "super vision" mods? That's not so impressive. Or is there something special about the Distinguished Gear…
  • Wow, this thread derailed quickly. I read the forums a lot (rarely posting) and I have played the game at least casually since inception. I've learned so much from you. I admire most of you and value your opinions. I think we all agree that teamwork and skill diversity are important to achieving shared victories. Let's…
  • Amen, sister! I'd much rather see this set provide a bonus of +20 to Super Stats instead. It would be inferior to Justice Gear, and I'd still prefer it. Or even better - make it on par with Justice Gear. And if you really want happy players? Then please remove the RNG from rampage token distribution equation altogether.…
  • This!!! I've been lauding the virtues of packing along Servitor Serum to the skies for all my fellow Rampagers for months. It's a must-have! Please put it back in for the very reasonable price of 3 SCR. And while you're at it, how about removing the RNG from the Rampage Token equation altogether? No one likes it, with the…
  • I'm surprised this post hasn't received a great deal more support and attention. It's taken me almost 2 years of very casual play to get 2 toons outfitted in full Justice Gear. While I'm totally with Squirrelloid on not cheapening either JG or the effort required, I must say I much preferred the grind approach associated…
  • New crafting bonus?
  • Congrats to the community, you mean, for Kaizerin's elevation to Dev status. Kaizerin, it's reassuring that Cryptic can demonstrate they know a good thing when they see one.
  • Onslaught secondaries will get a mod slot?? Tell me, Championshewolf! Where did you hear that bit of good news, sister? That actually makes them tenable.
  • Not even a retcon token for the PSS Intelligence characters you just neutered? Really?
  • I would like to buy a Depleted Uranium Core mod. Please send me an in game email, along with your proposed price for the subject goods. My handle is @Royal_Flush. Thank you in advance for your offer.
  • Sorry for the necro action, but I just got a Draysha Gas Pistol. Does it work on your team AND you? Or just your team? Thanks in advance for any insight you can lend.
  • It's all been said eloquently. /signed
  • My first thought: I'll take that little Monster Island temple gratefully over the caves in Lemuria though, any day of the week. My second thought: at least these aren't Unity 2 missions!
  • Thanks a lot for your replies, guys. I switched from robot/power armor minions to werewolf/supernatural minions, and my problem seems to have disappeared. (Instead of my nemesis minions disappearing!) I may experiment with different types of minions in the future, but in the meantime the problem seems to have fixed itself.…
  • Thanks for the replies, guys. In this case, I'm definitely headed towards the minions and not away. Most of my toons are melee. Also, these two toons' Nemesis minions are robots and military thugs, respectively. I keep hoping this problem will get fixed, it's been going on for a while now. I was also kind of hoping that…
  • Thanks, I have an almost 40 with regeneration too, and I've been wondering the same the thing.
  • No kidding, thanks for the sneak preview. This is great.
  • As things currently stand, I don't believe that katanas are an option.
  • Thanks for that tip too, I wasn't aware. Last year, some broken "fix" ensured that targeted AOE would no longer "kill" chairs. I didn't think there were any alternatives. I'll be off for Monster Island. But if that doesn't work well, I'll try Nemcon as an alternative. Thanks again.
  • Belated but sincerest thanks for the tip. I'd given up on Nemesis missions, and that led me to pretty much give up on the game. If I can go on the egg hunt by Andrithal, that gives me an alternative to work with. Thanks again.
  • Mind if I ask how you're getting your missions? I used to destroy chairs where Harmon gives his speech, but the game has gotten bugged so that I can only destroy a chair at a time with my TK Blades character. Since that happened, I never get Nemesis missions from killing chairs. So please let me know how you come by your…
  • Yes, please. I hope that this is for real. I hope Cryptic's owners have sufficient business sense to see the advantages. I'd gladly pay real money for the Foundry in CO. I'm talking $50-$100 just to get started! I don't need to level with Foundry Missions. I want to play!!!
  • 1) The Foundry 2) More Zones 3) More Nemesis Content
  • 1) The Foundry 2) New Zones 3) New Comic Series
  • Exactly right, well said!
  • Welcome to the fun, Cerebellum. I played DCUO for a little while too, being a sucker for super hero games. I kept coming back to Champions.
  • Parry isn't the block ability I would choose for a ranged character. The real benefits with Parry come from using a melee power, where Parry will then increase Dodge and Avoidance. If you must take a block power, get Force Shield with Energy Sheath from Force. This will help give you the energy you'll still need with this…
  • Regeneration is a great passive for a beginner, but I'd recommend Lightening Reflexes over that. Maybe a retcon later? For increased damage and energy management, I'd recommend Martial Arts' offensive passive over even Lightening Reflexes. Just putting it out there for consideration. Nice build either way.
  • It's a great starter deal for all the CoX folks coming over.
  • In case no one has noted this bug: Using an AoE or cone attack on inanimate objects will only destroy the targeted object. Not all objects in range. This is a nuisance when trying to get Nemesis missions by destroying chairs in Harmon's speech area west of the Renn Center. I guess we're not getting Nemesis missions that…
  • Completely agree. The Foundry is the answer to the lack of endgame content.
  • /signed! More missions/content would result in more players and more money for Perfect World. I hope they get smart and bring the Foundry to CO. It's the one reliable way to expand this game successfully. Thanks, CoH players, and welcome.
  • Did you try to log in from the Log In screen from yesterday? If so, close out the game completely and *then* try to log in again.
  • The Foundry is everything this game needs to survive and grow. Player-designed content is still content. If they don't add the Foundry to CO, I have to believe it's their intent to let this game die too. I hope they prove me wrong. More players equals more money.
  • Add the Foundry, for goodness sake! A new zone would be nice, but endless new missions would be even better. More players, more money, etc.
  • The only real content I can see coming to this game is player developed content. IF the Foundry is ever made available to the players.
  • Grind out the Unity and Unity 2 missions for a couple of days to get Silver Champion recognition. You can trade in this recognition at the Recognition Vendor for some great primary purple gear, which allows you to add 50+ to two stats and then some. Check it out.
  • The Foundry would save this game in a big way. There are lots of creative players in their base who would crank out new, quality missions. More content = more players. More players = more money in the Cryptic coffers. To me it just makes good business sense that Cryptic would include their Foundry in CO.
  • From the release notes on August 9, they're going to swap out Alerts: "The Harmon Labs Heist alert will be added to the rotation on Friday. This alert will be around until August 23."
  • The Foundry is everything this game needs to be a total and resounding success. More content = more players. And not just player-defined alerts, but extensive player defined missions would be possible. Epic!
