Doh... after fixing it maybe they can give us another double xp weekend so I can refresh some of my characters. -_- Maybe with 8 hour XP buffs this time :D
At one point people were able to wear two different hairstyles coming up with new styles. Like having some serious bangs with a pony tail, long hair with a pony tail, pigtails with a ponytail. I wish they can bring that back. I don't care what kind of clipping issues it would bring up. Being able to have two hairstyles…
People that do alt will take this and use it to make new alts in one. They will benefit and Cryptic won't make money. It's basically 15 dollars for a permanent freeform slot over 15 dollars per month. Even before I started talking about it being 15 dollars you had the thought it should be between 900-1500 zen, meaning you…
Your assumption is only as good as mine. You're assuming people would buy more than one alt build. Furthermore making 1500 zen is world's easier to make through the questionite exchange leading people to not buy 5000 zen freeform slots or 1500 zen alt build with real money at all.
I already said why. Nobody needs to pay for a freeform slot or another one they can just buy this one for 15 dollars. They're losing out on 35 dollars per freeform slot that could of been bought.
No silver player thought 50 dollars is reasonable for freeform slots either. But that's how it's priced and Cryptic and PWE will lose money if it's lowered or if an alt build for 15 bucks is added.
Hmmm but wouldn't this mean there would be no reason to buy another freeform slot? This would have to be about 5000 zen worth because if it was only 1500 zen then silvers that have one freeform slot would say hey I'll just pay up 1500 zen to get another freeform character tied to one character.
Well in wrestling you can throw people out of the ring to win so sending someone out of the duel sphere could be a way to win and that's how knocks can work. I mean Might does seem like wrestling in a sort of way with the knocks why change that concept?
What bugs me is that you call them anthropomorphic which is a term that describes anything that's human like. That includes androids, golems, Tolkien ent, Zelda Deku Shrubs as well. In that it covers inanimate objects that take the form and characteristics of humans not just human-like beasts. But you think the word Furry…
Actually I thought up this from the first day they announced LTS rewards were given instantly. I just didn't say anything so people would impulse buy and go LTS bringing in the money for Cryptic.
Of course everything we want against another person is going to be selfish but when there's a way to make everyone get what they want then that is a bit more altruistic isn't it? Stat changes is not the way, it will only make one side be happy the other side not. So instead of nerfing dodge/avoidance, critical strike…
Heroism has nothing to do with challenges. It has to do about standing up for the little guy because in your heart that is the right thing to do. Is getting a promotion heroic? Not really it can be challenging but not heroic. Remember we're superheroes we're supposed to be able to have a chance against throngs of enemies…
The biggest concern I have is people that are asking for nerfs want everyone to suffer just so they won't appear to be weaker when they're playing their challenging modes. They won't try and play with just an energy builder or what I would rather see happening: Add challenging content for them. Adding challenging content…
How about an option. You can enable it at the video tab. People that want themselves to stay solid can enable the solid option. For those that want to pass through can disable the solid option and pass through enemies and other people.
Easiest way to make the game more difficult force our characters to become weaker. Something we already had the choice to do by removing gear and not taking the good powers. But now we don't have a choice but to have those done to us.
How about we are able to pay 250g to put up our achievements to show for everyone on those big floating screens and they don't stop scrolling for a day. Put in some voice acting to list off every one of them so we don't forget. And don't forget to let us all know who has them.
Didn't miss any point. First you said to "adapt." (Telling us that the situation can be compensated) Then you mention the value of impact gems are going to increase and gambler gems are going to be less valuable. (Either mentioning there's a need to adapt on the dodge/avoidance change OR the crit changes). Then you talk…
My Behemoth has a 36% chance to crit. Many people think Behemoth is really bad on the healing side but they can manage pretty well if you choose the right specializations. And I would take Dex/Crit over something like Str/Rec (if I had less than 30% crit chance that is) just to get the 2% health per crit going on. Plus…
Diversity? Are you kidding me? Their idea of "diversity" is you either hit hard all the time or you have a chance to hit harder. That's not diversity. What about the diversity of power choices based on theme? That's getting butchered right now. That's the loss of diversity not whether you are a crit type or an offense…
Now with the grabs giving away XP for lowbies, lack of dodge/avoidance will get them one-shotted before trying. So let's piddle away and wait for a tank to queue.... in the next 10 years. How hilarious, this is the same thing people said about defensive passives with toggles. Saying the toggles made defensive passives a…
There's a mental issue with people that think when they're playing a tank nobody else should in hell be able to take as much punishment as themselves to the point that they want to see the others weakened. I don't know how people with high survivability that are not tanking are breaking your tanking in anyway. Also being a…
What are you talking about, Behemoth is weaker now that they can't get dodge and avoidance. Defense is unchanged. And seriously I doubt you ever played a Behemoth from start to finish. Defense isn't a stat Behemoth is reliant on they need to crit to get that 2% health back. So in short Behemoth has no dodge/avoidance plus…
Nobody asked for the switch to begin with. It's something they did in response to people complaining about failing Smash Alerts one too many often. Strange that they could of just given lowbies a buff or something to manage the fights better. People in this forum have stated how grabs can fail the same way if not a more…
Heh, use /bind [ ] ++walk and walk around, don't use traveling powers to finish missions. Use only the energy builder to fight. If you die delete your character and try again. Do it hardcore!
People would actually take the time to fight through enemies to get to an objective. At the very least the people that do take the time to fight through would get something out of it when a guy is waiting to swipe your objective out of your hand.
In that vein that means leave XP alerts the way it is because it is more popular than resource alerts. And for people that want resources this change is none of their concern.
QFT In all honestly it's been a very long time since I read a post that made so much sense. It's true there are people that like their game feeling like a journey but for some of us we just want to get our powers and be a superhero. Some people just want to pop in and play with the character they have envisioned instead of…
You only need to take down one boss in most of the easier Smash Alerts rather than pull groups of mobs and take each down at a time. For the lowbies (levels 39 and below) it's better to focus on taking down one boss rather than groups of mobs at a time. Grabs take longer to finish with lowbies than a Smash alert with…
I agree with everything OP says. I would say leave a Smash XP alert for people that want to level. Give a Grab and Smash Resources alert for people that want resources. Smash XP alert would be easier for lowbies, the Grab/Smash Resources alerts would be given a reasonable challenge for the players that want it. The current…
Maybe Defiance could add a heal-over-time effect by the % of how much damage you took. And I mean the full damage without any defenses. Like if you get hit by 1000 damage it's reduced down by 500 with all your defenses but you gain health back based on 10% of 1000 damage. Because Defiance does have that "The harder you hit…
I knew someone was going to bring that up and it's a good point. The reason why Smashes being repetitive is better is that at least you are in a team that would do it together. Even if there isn't any communication going on at least you are seeing new people doing new things every alert. Sometimes I learn a few new…
Those 150 kill missions are dumb **** hell. Those missions go grey pretty fast after finishing other missions around the area. There isn't that much fun killing multiple mobs in a targeting and click game really. If I wanted that I would play Left4Dead or something.
Mission content? You mean those crappy kill this kill that, poor writing things I've done over a dozen times on multiple characters? No thanks. When they make new content that's when I'll go back to running missions because I'm sick and tired of doing the same things over and over. Refer to my first post on this thread to…
Except there are people that have done the same leveling with missions dozens of times on different toons and they're tired and sick of them. When the content out there is crap the alerts were a lot better to do. Also fighting for objectives and waiting for those times for the objectives to spawn. Yeah something I don't…
Look back at my post did I say anything wrong about the level requirements? Because that's all they should of just changed. I have no problem with that, the problem is what I mentioned on my previous post.
