Thanks. Though, incidentally that was taken before the coat got shortened a bit, but he looks ok either way. Just wish the victorian top didn't clip so slightly.

The benefit to having such a long break between my posts means that I now have a backlog of other stuff that might be worth showing off:

    Xenophon: Gynoid form

She's had a look like this for a while now, though it's now further updated with some Clockwork parts - mainly because I'm deciding this is now her default look. I guess I'll try to justify it with something other than lolboobs, by saying it looks more like Socrates, which is what Xenophon is partially based off of. (Xenophon, in fact, actually being the name of a disciple of the old actual Socrates.)

    ZVYqtCI.png
    Klonk and his Many Jobs

Klonk's original concept is being an arcade machine caveman that broke out. Guess I expanded a bit on that by designing him for not only that original concept (far right), but also as a platformer hero dude in overalls, and an RPG warrior. Partially this happened because his build was updated to have a heavy-weapons AoE.

    nRpm247.png
    Kalbuexele - Statuesque

I got the Valerian Tights a while back, yay. This is the only thing I could think to use it as, to make a tankblade person look like a crumbly statue. Derp.

    Ic2SAfS.png
    Tri-Emerald: Capetights

Just a simple alternative tights look for this psionic character, utilizing some simplified versions of the Star tights.

I know I'm digging up an older post here, but I can't seem to find these gloves either. As far as I can tell, the pharaoh set does not come with these gloves.

Actuallly yeah, slightly off on Jasin's part; the gloves come from the Pharaoh Mecha-arm set (which came in the same lockbox as the full pharaoh set, but is separate). That set contains the robo-arm, shoulder, and glove piece. I can confirm that the hand used on that guy is the final part listed there.

This gives me an excuse to put 4 more outfits up!!
    VT8c9gq.png
    Bleeding Heart - Alicesque

Alternate colorscheme for this character, which is obviously inspired by Lewis Caroll. The apron part is a trick done using a combination of the Gi Belt piece, and a short or medium skirt.
    uhb9Zw1.png
    Black Ice - Ice Witch

Using glass parts to simulate ice. Whee. Was one of the first outfits I made using some of the krampus parts.
    LAfpz5l.png
    Pistoljack - Texas Pride

Outfit based off of the texas state flag. The one on the right is current, while the one on the left is older. Not sure which one I like better. Speaking of indecision...
    C6wewlC.png
    Drafts - Mister Magnetix

Ok, so, new character I'm making - uses Electric Shield to attack tons of enemies at the same time. Problem is, I can't decide on a look for him, so here's a trio of things I designed.

The one on the left is most recent. The center one was his original design with heavier-set build and armor, and the right most one is his current look - and probably the most plain. Any thoughts?

Telepathy tanks can work, but you'd probably want to go for a DoT based mind break build with some extra debuffs or maintain damage.

You have a character called Star Soldier? awesome,

I should show you my character Soldier Blade sometime.

I'm assuming that's what you were thinking when naming him, I was thinking that when naming Soldier Blade, who has more to do with Soldiers and Blades than Spaceships like the game.

Note that I'm pretty sure that that attempt to make a telepathy tank was really early on and also I'm pretty sure that it was before either the DoTs existed, and/or before I realized that ego blast was really powerful.

The name of Star Soldier was a coincidence.
I'd go with far-left but use the Cosmic horns from the middle.

Noted! Just wish there was a better magnet-shaped head-top accessory.

She's wearing Space Scoundrel boots. And on the right, also the scoundrel jacket.

Determined to make a name for himself, Mister Magnetix was an ordinary joe who lost his fiancee to a Casanova hero, The Gold Standard. Thankfully, his genius friend was on hand to help him out reluctantly. He made Magnetix his signature magnet suit - capable of attracting and deflecting metals with ease and precision, tranforming the average joe into a formidable manipulator, and the bane to anything made of metal. He knew what would be good for him, and began to use his armor to fight crime - initially under the alias of Dr. Magnetix, until his genius friend got jealous and said he was implying that he had created the armor, and thus was renamed to Mister Magnetix instead... The alliteration's better. It works.

I think I mentioned before? This guy's very turtley. His normal battle plan is to dive into the hearts of mobs and unleash Sparkstorm and Electric Shield w/ Electric Vengeance, hope to get hit and survive, and throw rapid lightning bolts back at anything that attacks him.

Mainly to test how the block works, it does wonders in mobs of henchmen, but leaves a lot to be desired against bosses. Neat alternative to gigabolt or thunderstorm, I'd say. It's 'safer' but also slower.

    N4YKWCK.png
Zentih comes from a transdimensional tribe of sun elves - celestial fae that are said to have been birthed from the sun itself. They can use their soul energy to unleash their solar form, a glowing figure capable of unleashing beams of searing light. Zenith is small and red - the smallest and coolest of the sun elf varieties, and while she still has a long ways to go before reaching true power and maturity, she is still very formidable by earth's standards, and is thankfully willing to learn human ways and listen to reason.

Power Armor beam build with a non-PA theme. This finally gives me a reason to A: test eye beams out now that it's buffed, and B: use circle of arcane power in a power armor build. Not much else to say. Eye Beam's a pretty good attack, even on its own early on. I was surprised pleasantly.
    BzGeP1r.png
    Coulrophobia: Vibora Magician attire

Coulrophobia's stupidly hard to make alternative costumes for, because the clown theme is so core to this guy's secret identity. And making clowns look good is hard. Thankfully this look goes more for a street magician sort of deal. Those krampus bits do wonders to keep the clown theme present in an otherwise pretty formal/standard looking outfit.
    5YA14vS.png
    Whitehammer - Minotaur

Whitehammer actually got a proper horse face with the halloween updates - though he expectedly looks stupid as hell with the new head. In contrast, bull mask, combined with a werewolf head and some glowing goggles, gives him a pretty nice, lower-key bull look.

    Retro Styles - Heckrana, Kickstarter

Decided to design some simple/colorful things for these characters. Heckrana on the left turned out to get some kind of Nightcrawler/Wonder Twin mashup look, while I feel like Kickstarter wouldn't look too out of place in some sort of 80s fantasy saturday morning cartoon.
    YOKi6xZ.png
    Klonk - Medieval Guard

I finally found a good use for that november pilgrim hat. Visibly inspired by FF9 Steiner. It's a bit sad that that archer shirt clips with so many options, because its extra little shirt fringe and semi-poofy sleeves make it really good for casual wear and various pre-19th century looks.

2 characters I'm trying to get down here. They arent pompous and circumstancial cards yet because I still need to figure out how to refine how they look:
    5VrWU27.png
    Laserlord Gorff

Gorff is a member of the sluglike alien species known as the Gorff, who hail from planet Gorff. Incidentally, their entire language happens to be the word Gorff inflected in various different ways, making it basically impossible to translate into written english, so that sort of sucks.

Gorff (the individual) is a Chaos Laser Mage, who uses a combination of the magical forces of nature, space, and transformative lasers to bend the very fabric of reality about him. In his rough words, he channels a mystical force he calls the "Gorff?!" to master these various aspects of earth's natural phenomena, calling forth quakes, tornadoes, and flash floods.

Character that uses Experimental Blaster - because its most controversial effect no longer occurs on key targets, I figured it was time to see how it operated as an attack - on a character who uses an imaginary blaster, as it turns out. It's surprisingly good for CC, because even if it doesn't teddify legendaries, each charge does have a chance to stun or knock-down (without triggering knock resistance) any enemy type. His prime battle tactic is to do this while spamming tons of untargetable pets for his AoE: Dust Devil, Ball Lightning, Firesnake, Ebon Rift, the works.

As for looks, he's based off a simpler 'slug' template that is closely related to an earlier design, Super Prawn Girl. Basically sharing the weird maw look for the head design and just being green and slimy instead of a shrimp.
    VXfRDUE.png
    Stinger III

Stringer III, eponymous to the game Stinger III, is the star of a 3D home-console shooter game developed in the 1980s. However, said game never got a release in the appropriate time period due to console technology not being advanced enough to support the game. By 1992, the company developing Stinger III was defunct.

Cut to 2015, and the project was revived and picked up by online backers, having fond memories of the arcade releases of Stinger I and Stinger II. The project gained such massive momentum and was picked up by independent developers who used their money to buy a game engine from ACI - which ended up being designed less for games and more for superhero hologram training. The end result was not a game, but a walking, thinking homage to an 80s game franchise.

Trent Algos, space explorer and warrior. His fleet destroyed by aliens, he has donned the experimental STINGER armor and taken up arms to gain revenge for his fallen comrades! - Of course, that's just the backstory he believes. This hyperactive, hyper-realistic hologram fights for justice and vengeance within Millennium City!

This dude's actually a Soldier AT, so naturally, he's got huge damage output, tons of guns, and really terrible defense (which I explain away by him being a video game hologram that dies in like one hit because games). Visually, the guy's sort of a homage to Turrican, albeit with a ton of deliberate invocation of bits and pieces of the Variable Broken set to make him look at ridiculously blocky as possible without causing terrible geometric breaking. I particularly like how the head turned out, if you don't mind the weird clipping.

Not to toot my own horn intentionally, but I did similar with Starlight, the beam-based cosmic guardian. Would be interesting to compare builds there, see how both of us approached the theme.

Starlight, huh? We definitely seem to have the same core moves in mind for the builds (concussor, chest, eye). Though concerning eye beams I opted to just go with 20/20 fission, since ranking up doesn't increase the piercing component's damage (at least according to descriptions. The piercing also does a lot more damage.)

I can't recall quite off the top of my head, but I'm almost certain Zenith is REC/Dex/Con or something like that. yes I'm still trying to figure out how to make Rec primary good. She also utilizes Circle of Arcane Power to keep energy high to maximize the trigger of that +15% crit chance bonus, though in the long run I'll probably just end up respeccing her into something more traditional.

Probably the last thing I can note is that I opted for Rec as well because it provides the best energy generation bonus for Overdrive, and I also used reconstructive circuits since I can trigger it while maintaining my other beams, as well as keep Overdrive stacking with it.

Yeah Eliedon's right. It's the insect category with holoforce head. The insect carapace is a hair piece I believe under that category.

Let's see what the image max is on posts.

    Victory

A new character without a certain backstory or theme. The generic name is of course meant to fit whatever idea I might come up with, mostly to suit whatever might be the most overpowered thing at the time I decide to rebuild. Right now she's some kind of Skewer-Heavy-Weapons Lancer who switches forms between a normal looking superhero, america, and a robot.

    SkullJaeger

Undead Skeleton Ghost Pirate. He's mostly an experiment with Aspect of the Machine to make what amounts to a Specialist Upgrade, using Dual-blades, Pistols, and all. Thanks to that Strength primary specialization set, he's very sturdy. And thanks to Two-Gun-Mojojojojojo still being stupidly overpowered he puts out good damage as well.

The two looks there actually are different costumes. The right one uses the Skeleton categories to reveal a gruesome bare skeleton beneath his regalia. The ghost look is achieved using a combination of the Steel Shadow box's Stealth Aura, and the Legacy Telekinetic Form aura. Tinting the Stealth form aura a slightly 'brighter'/cyan tint lets the skeleton show through a bit better through the TK aura's glow.

All that said, not sure red was the right main color to go with for the dead pirate man.

    Surge Protector - Civilian outfit

So old Alkaline Aegis got renamed into the more punny less unwieldy-alliterative Surge Protector. This is his civ. outfit, lovingly crafted out of Urban Anime parts while not looking particularly anime in most respects. I hope.

    Bleeding Heart - Grownup

What, you think she grew up without earning a few scars? Regardless she's still probably as dangerous as ever in this state.

    Flame Stag - Paint

I got Kigatilik parts at some point! And as such I discovered that they go pretty well with the Arcane Tattoo set. His mission to become an amazing as hell Bigfoot Warrior has been completed. Without being a bigfoot, but still.

    Black Templar - Open Helm

Looking back on this character, I thought to myself: I know this dude's going for the 'space marine' aesthetic, but does it really make sense to have a closed helmet when the air's readily breathable? Thus I created this alternate outfit with a pilot helmet. Offers better cranial protection, better targeting projection, and is lower profile. Finally, he doesn't have to deal with those shards of glass getting embedded in his mohawk!

    Halpernos of Rugen

A brave and really weird warrior from a far off land, Halpernos here is a tank that uses, of all passives, Aura of Arcane Clarity and Recovery Primary. The goal of this is to minimze recharge as much as possible and maximize the number of times that he can use his Active Defenses to become invulnerable. At the same time, he's got very high CON, and uses a melee attack loadout that focuses on extreme-energy, high-damage attacks; namely Laser Sword and Sword Cyclone w/ Advantage. Perma-AD's probably not going to come around until he's fully upgraded, but he's certainly pulling his weight in the aggro-department.

About his costume! He actually has a ton of parts on him that shouldn't be normally combinable. Well, if we used the same aura tricks as shown off on Skulljaeger the skeletonghost pirate, you'll quickly discover that Halpernos also has a skeleton underneath his clothes! As it turns out, the Skeleton category basically unlocks every single costume option at once, which allows me to do stuff such as put the giant Gladiator belt on with the Bird warrior chest piece, or plop a small cape on underneath the huge armor, or even put huge leg armor on top (and underneath) a skirt.

Of course, this ironically adds even more polys to the guy's model than if I just had some way to put impossible combinations together, because of the added skeleton limbs that exist below the tights setting (ravenswood and defender 2015 are usable in the skeleton category and hide the thin limbs, but they don't actually remove the models, thus wasting polycount!)

    Guy Calamari - Coral Armor

Making costume variants on non-human characters is always a huge pain. Calamari here is no exception, since most of his bodies are just weirdly shaped power armors. I wanted to try making something more fitting to his natural habitat, though I'm certain that someone else has executed a coral-looking look a lot better than I did right here.

Now some cosplays for the hallows ween:

    Guy Calamari - Inkling (Splatoon)

Notch Carinseeker - Zoltan Chivay (The Witcher)

Surge Protector - Tom Waits (Guy that sounds like drunk cookie monster)

    The Secretary - Morrigan (Darkstalkers)

    Today's theme is ghosts apparently.

    Corrosive - Ghost Auras

So the halloween ghost aura's really damn good for making slimy characters. One on the left is his normal outfit with the aura combination, while the one on the right was specifically engineered to have a certain shape with the aura on (without any regard to texture or material so wtihout it, it looks kind of like trash.) In this case it's also combined with the Vibration Skin aura for a bit of extra shimmeriness. Though other auras can also work effectively from what I've heard, such as fire skin.

    Apoplexy - Ghost Skin

While the aura will just apply the ghost material to everything on your character, the newly-obtained Ghost material options on Arcane Tattoo pieces means you can also just restrict your ghostly/gooeyness to your body and not any armor you might want to layer on. This is good for this character, since unlike Corrosive they don't dissolve everything they wear instantly! As you might figure, some neat things can be done with the effect, though you'll have to limit yourself to just the body which can get a bit annoying sometimes.

Chisoku - Spiky hair combination test

This combination uses the Krampus hair in the first hair slot, and Unkempt short in the second. Of course I'm just trying to have generally longish, spiky/messy hair here, and it's a bit tough without any longer-bang options that don't just fly straight into the 'emo' department.

    Propolista - Stripey

I found out by complete chance that the fox tail got a new 'stripes' pattern! Which is actually absolutely perfect for this character, so a bit of a makeover was in demand. While I was at it, I opted to make the character more appropriately vibrant. You know, like a bee should.

    SPL-005h

More ghost material messing. It's a robot made to serve you nice cold cups of water.

I have no idea what kind of build I'd give it, though. At the very least it'll make a nice basis for an alt-costume for Guy Calamari, which is good?

    An assortment of christmas-themed outfits:

Transforms into a gift! (And also present in the signature.)

    Paladin's Medievalish Santa getup

Gulch Barber's backstory has much to do with Black Harlequin - here's how she looked while under his wing.

Guy Calamari created the perfect fusion of octopus and snowman - by embedding a robot inside snow.

most of the choices of character are basically picked based on what character I feel like playing at the time.

    Paladin - Silver Armor

For a long time I wanted to make a version of Paladin's armor that was heavier, with more plates, but the problem lay in the color of his armor: Gold and Red aren't that contrasting in color schemes, and it certainly wasn't being helped by Paladin's skin tone either, so this was an experiment to see how he'd look with a bluish-silver offsetting his red.

    Redeye-Long Hair

This was kind of crossposted over in the dual-hair thread, so here it is again. I gotta say the girl's options on what to do with combined hairstyles are seriously trumping what's possible with guy hairs... I demand a hair and face pack!

    Heckrana - Ghostly

One of heckrana's myriad forms, this one's probably the most unusual and involves a lot of floating part-trickery using the coat category and junkbot legs (or lack thereof.)
also lol at her foot clipping through the glass.

    Stinger III - Unarmored

When not wearing his mighty STINGER armor, He's a pretty normal dude. Well, pretty normal virtual-reality limited-polycount dude. The toy limbs are hella flexible. Wonder what other sorts of things I could achieve with them, other than ancient-looking 3d people or puppets.

Klonk - Totally original not-influenced-by-anything superhero outfit

Klonk is a bald, homely looking guy who, while he lacks unique powers, is extremely sturdy and also has a nasty crushing punch from his caveman origins. He got the idea for this outfit totally from his own ideas about how to dress. He happens to be a huge fan of ketchup and mustard as you can tell from the colors he chose, which I suppose led him to follow consecutive normal decisions to develop this outfit.

seriously watch one punch man it's very good

    Glaive

"Partner in battle to Halberd, Glaive was the result of extensive research of the technology that was forcibly installed and used on Halberd. Through loans and developers from ACI, MCPD was able to reverse-engineer Halberd's design, and proceeded to create a new robot from the ground up - Glaive, the artillery SWAT unit, is often called in to lay down serious firepower with his cannons. Without the compulsions or limits of a human, this combat robot is a fearsome, but effective justiciar."

Of all things to be inspired by, I based him off a random mech I built in robocraft. His build is basically a rehash of Halberd's, except more tanky with con. And goes more in favor of Earth Form instead of Quarry.

Strangely, only a few more in like 3 months:

Inspector Steel - Sweater and Weird Trenchcoat

All things considered, when I originally designed Steel I sort of wanted him to have an open trenchcoat rather than a closed one. Only problem, the default open trenchcoat is much less a trenchcoat and more a biker jacket that just has a cape attached to the end. It's way too open to look mysterious or anything like that. Thankfully, the Scoundrel coat fits the shape more. Now if only it looked less outlandish...

    Karragkh

Part of a race of tiny earth drakes, Karragkh is an acolyte who uses some rock spells to protect her people from overwhelming violence of human villains.

Built mainly to test out a pure earth build. Once you get Cave-In and gear Stone Shot to be AoE, it actually can be pretty effective. Like, if you know what you're doing with gear and stats it's very easy to outdamage most other people using its attacks. Kind of annoying to figure out what does good for big mobs though.

    Officer Q

Officer Qiang states to be a cop from the Left-Hand world version of Hong Kong, which despite its small size, managed to become the capital and central information hub of East Asia in his dimension. Qiang is a bona-fide lawkeeper and fighter, having trained alongside the Chinese Triads, and spent many missions undercover using his gadgets to keep him safe. Despite this all, he trusts his guns much more than his skills in kung-fu, or his utility tools.

This guy was mainly created to see how the new Pistol abilities operated. Incidentally, the way that Burst Shot works means that a Dual Pistol/Unarmed build is probably better than even the planned Dual Pistol/Dual Blade setup that the Specialist AT flaunts, but for now, I kind of wanted to keep Q's powerset simple.

This look above is actually outdated, he no longer uses the glowy visor or bracer. He's meant to be some sort of mashup of an 80s John Woo action film protagonist and a Cyberpunk setting (an 80s cyberpunk setting that is).

    Mr. Magnetix - Magnet Pak

Magnetix' original build of weird shielding tactics was dropped in favor of low damage, high survival, and control. If MRIs are any indication, intense magnet waves can be used to induce vertigo, so that's his explanation of how he's using Ego Storm to stop enemies in their tracks.

How's this relate to this outfit though? Well, he switched to that build so that he could help out in Teleios Ascendant, where control is very important for the powerful mobs that attack people while fighting bosses! His backpiece can only be unlocked by running TA, so after I had gotten my hands on it, I decided to see how it could be incorporated into a nice look.

    Barry Rabbit - Cartoon Bunny

So after parents complained that Barry's animatronic was creepy, the people owning the place decided to try out animating him as a cartoon, but then that somehow also went wrong because the animators decided to make him a hyper-realistic collage rather than a drawing?! BLECH

This is largely an experiment to make a character using the Bobblehead aura. Without the aura, actually, Barry's head on this outfit is stupidly small. It's tough balancing out the physique to look proper with such a gigantic head, but the best way to do it, I find, is to actually use high Body Mass settings (on male), and then proceed to make other parts of the body, such as the hands and feet, huge. That's probably more instructions on how to make a Sonic OC ingame rather than a generic cartoon animal, though.

He probably wouldn't look as creepy if his eyes were normal, but hey, that's the aesthetic I was going for on creepy bunny mascot!

More stuff that I hope ends up on a new page because this stuff gets cluttered and slow to load when there's this many images to load on one page! The theme of this post will be: Creature characters who got new heads now because the beast pack was very useful and gave use better looking heads to work with.

    Bay Pig

The old version of him used a misshapen Gorilla Head to stand in for a pig. Even then though the pig head included in the beast pack was a bit too... friendly looking to be a manimal, so instead I got the Boar head for this guy. Then I proceeded to make an outfit that'd match that head's appearance well.

I mean, even if he's supposed to be heroic and all that he's not exactly happy he got turned into a pigman so it's a better option than the blissfully bumbly-looking pig head, the grumpy as heck boar.

    Whitehammer

His normal horse appearance no longer has to have exploding eyes, and his bull alternate no longer has a mechanical face. Actually not sure whether I want the bull hair on that outfit or not...

    Kuroneko

"Imbued with superior reflexes, ancient spirits, and a sense of justice, this black cat became a ninja to defend the island of Tashirojima from the threat of tsunamis making the cats all slightly damp."

Single-blade character. I've gotten to level 20 using absolutely nothing but Reaper's Caress. The AOE changes to all the melee combos make them ridiculously effective.

Still trying to decide on a color scheme for the ninja gear.

    Reid

"In life, he was known as Jacob; a rare human survivor of an abduction into the Qliphoth Realm. Though he'd survived the ordeal he was permanently scarred, both physically and mentally, and while his spirit had become a powerful and deadly driving force behind his resolve to become a vigilante, it soon pushed him over the edge and led him to try and escape.

But the end of Jake's life did not end his journey, as this proved only to make his soul easier for the Kings of Edom to claim, now that its binding to this world was weakened. Only through reclaiming his identity as a rockstar did he find the determination to construct a new body and fight his way out of this hell to emerge a whole new hero."

A rehash of a much older deleted character, Mad Reid Jake, who was really just an attempt to make a pretty looking guy using a girl model and it didn't quite pan out. Now that there's explicit parts for making rockstars, though, he's back from the dead. In more ways than one, and continues the long trend of heavy weapons being a powerset I use a freakin' lot.

I also need some colorscheme finalization on this one. Part of me wonders how he'd look using lots of pink/blue for a bizarre undead glam-metal look, but for some reason this sort of deathmetal scheme seems to work well for someone who's... Well, undead.

as a side note, Skull Guitar = best axe guitar, it's axe-shaped, it's a guitar, it looks good when used either way.

    Bay Pig

this character seems remarkably similar to bebop, the warthog minion of shredder from the 1987 teenage mutant ninja turtles cartoon...you perchance get inspiration from there?

A bit actually. Like, if you think about it, the archtype of 'anthropomorphic pig guy with gun' isn't exactly common, so it kind of makes sense that the look wanders a bit into that area.

It's mainly the face that lead me to do that I think. I really believe it looks better on that sort of ragtag/post-apoc outfit rather than his default military one, which, aside from new outfit, is the main reason I decided to snap that costume.

Also if we really want to talk specifics, he actually takes a bit of inspiration from Roadhog in Overwatch.

More chars. Trying out spoiler tags to make it less painful to load up pages in this thread:

    Reid - Qliphoth Color Scheme

The qliphoth theming of the character came back after I finally settled on a pretty simple all-purple color scheme, which ended up giving him a sort of corrupted arm in the process. The 'psi' material for the nephilim wing varieties can also be colored pitch-black so that they only show up when certain auras are applied. In this case, I combined it with fire flight to have them primarily only show up while flying!

    Broodstalker

"All available intel on the creature known as Broodstalker point to her being a failed VIPER experiment. Logs of Dr. Demogard's early work show him attempting to concentrate the DNA of normal Teleiosaurs into mutagens, applied to certain creatures. The attempt was to make a method of breeding template, from which he could further develop advanced dino-soldiers. Naturally, this phase of Demogard's plans was called 'Project Broodwalker' in his uncovered files.

As it turns out by chance, the human-teleiosaur hybrid was a strong contender for the final version of the project, as it had by far some of the best fertility of any of the candidates. However, the hybrid also was volatile - both in what creatures it would create, as well as in its behavior. It seemed that the creature held on to most of its human wits, and eventually devised a way to escape - not before laying considerable waste to Demogard's Snake Base in the process. This failed VIPER experiment then broke off into the wild, growing to massive sizes and leading its own pack of children across Monster Island, known only as Broodstalker."

Some manner of bestial build, which finally gave me some way to use a Teleiosaur Pheremones device I've had lying around for ages, not to mention also making use of the new Bestial abilities and the raptor parts. The original design on the left had her all black like some sort of kaiju, while iterations of that were made green to make it look a bit more similar to the generated raptors.

    Dr. Millennium

"A former chairman of ACI, Dr. Millennium was one of the victims of the attack on Detroit, and saw his demise by the hands of several destroids that had stormed his office. However, even after he had been torn apart by lasers, he had been working on a highly ambitious project - backing up his own consciousness to a computer, deep underneath the office complex.

8 years later, ACI contractors headed in to reclaim anything they could find from the building, happening upon the massive supercomputer that housed the Doctor's memories and mind. When ACI was unable to figure anything out with the project, the computer was then forwarded to Harmon Industries, and soon the code that housed the Doctor's mind was decrypted. Without permission, the code was then formatted to a robot body, developed by Harmon Industries. The Doctor now belonged to Harmon Labs.

The unthinkable then happened, considering that the new Robot Doctor wasn't exactly privy in working for Harmon Industries. He stormed out of Harmon Labs, overpowering the scientists and looting any weapons he could find, and even managed to take his storage computer back. A year later, he would re-emerge in the public eye as the bright and benevolent Dr. Millennium - a robotic hero fighting for a brighter future, using various gadgets and weapons developed by Harmon Industries, and extensively modified by Dr. Millennium himself.

But still, some suspicion remains: He seems to sometimes appear in several locations at once, and he's been seen on multiple occasions to be defeated, or even self-destruct. All examinations of the bot, by Harmon personnel, reveal nothing indicating a memory chip large enough to house the Doctor's mind. Instead, what's found is inevitably a serial-coded high-power transmitter. Just where could the real Dr. Millennium be hiding? And moreover, how deep does his power really run? What could he be planning?"

Needed to find some way to use the Steel Arachnid parts. The helmet interests me the most, since its material options enable it to do some funky things. Hopefully I'll find some good candidate for an aura to stick under that helmet. Though I got no idea what sort of build or other themeing to pursue on the guy. The glass head really makes me wish I could shove a brain in there or something, cept that's normally only for the gigantic helmet category.

    Got another collection of heroes:

    Euphoriate

"A bizarre construct of pure emotion, Euphoriate approaches his work with considerable pride and passion, as he refers to himself as a Hero and Entertainer. Prior to becoming, well, what he is, he was nobody - quite literally, in fact, because absolutely no record exists for how this thing got its powers, or whether he was even human to begin with, even with his impressive knowledge of culture. The matter of the nature of the being - whether by mutation or magic - also is an utter mystery.

First reports of the Euphoriate creature/hero showed it in street clothes, thrashing around chains as weapons. Apparently the method of combat stuck, even after he got a wardrobe upgrade. He's undoubtedly an effective hero when happy, albeit a little inconsiderate of others with his weird jokes, but he has been known to go utterly ballistic at times."

Made to test chain character mechanics. Some other drafts for this type of build included a porcelain doll/puppet thing, but then I realized I had already done a puppet character long ago.

Can probably tell he's supposed to be a slight homage to The Mask, with elements of stuff like Hulk and The Tick thrown in there for good measure. Face obviously was the first thing I designed on him, and I still don't know what I really should do for the body! I imagine him having a voice like Red Guy from Cow and Chicken.

    Dreamweaver

"Born into captivity, Dreamweaver was gauged by PSI to have some of the most extreme psionic potential of anyone involved in their organization, having been genetically engineered to contain such sheer power. Even after she was born, PSI scientists developed her abilities further. This all was not much to Dreamweaver's liking. In her freetime she began studying biology and espionage, and took a particular liking to the spider.

By creating psionic webs, she was able to lock down PSI by herself for a few moments - just enough to escape the facility and fall unconscious, far away enough from PSI's base to not be found. Drained of most of her power from the impressive feat, she went to MARS in order to work on culling the PSI threat, as well as redevelop some of her abilities.

While still potent in telekinesis, her mutations give her psionics strange requirements and traits. For example, her brain needs much greater blood supply than normal in order to unlock her most powerful abilities. By using spider armor, with circulatory augmentations, she is capable of using her full power. Otherwise, she prefers to strike from above, often hanging upside down from ceilings or bridges to read minds and wait for the correct time to strike."

I always find psions difficult to design - most just end up being normal Superheroish designs that have a vague 'mind' theme somewhere, which doesn't strike me as unique. Regardless, I wanted to see if Ego builds were still something good or worth doing in this day and age. Surprise surprise, they are. Crits everywhere and from 100 feet away.

I wasn't initially sure what color scheme to settle on. As you can see in the last image, she has an alternate color-pallete that was going more for an 80s blue/pink combination. Also, the 2nd outfit, her spider armor, was designed a lot later after I learned that the fluffy tail can't be used in the Psionic material. Yeah we need psionic tails, weirdly enough.

    Rampart

"Uninspired and critically careless, Rampart used to be a metalworking engineer with no real drive to find his calling in life. Entry jobs didn't interest him; he found building bridges and the same old model of jet engine or car chassis boring. Yet at the same time he knew perfectly well that just being a fresh-out-of-school engineer wasn't going to do him much good.

So he opted to take the sensible route and design a power armor to blow people up. Designed entirely off of loaned materials, his engineering is solid and he's a capable fighter, but now he's in miserable debt to several weapons companies and his old university. Well, he certainly isn't discreet enough in his armor to rob any banks, so he might as well do a ton of public service."

I realized at some point that I didn't actually have a power-armor tank. Everything PA-styled in my repertoire was either a straight-up power armor DPS, or a weird spin on power-armor that wasn't exactly fitting the theme (Zenith being a space elf thing). Rampart goes straight for the appearance of a big, heavy, defensible powersuit. To keep it unique-looking, I decided to try something new. The first thing designed on Rampart was the head, which - as you can tell on the armor - is an unusual open-faced sort of design. Does it look good? At the very least, it's a bit of variance from all the plain helmets.

    Here's a big one:

    Project Gorgon

"An attempt to engineer a biological weapon, Project Gorgon is an amalgation of machine and creature, pumping nanites through its veins and always adapting new toxins and acids to assault its foes with. Gorgon would be an immense threat in the wrong hands, if it weren't for the fact it was so critically inept at combat in its current form, due to a profoundly underdeveloped mind. While this has limited its combat readiness it has made the project very easy to tame."

Melee poison build, utilizing a mix of fighting claws, poison chains, and maybe a bit of bestial. Thanks to that slashing damage bonus, Pestilence is an extremely solid melee passive now. Not sure if I like the amount of armor I put on him. Or the basis of what creature he is, being a weird foxlizard. Or the colorscheme. Or basically anything about him but whatever.

    Arcana

"Arcana was an entirely average emo until she was hit in the head by an extremely small comet. This comet contained an ancient star spirit that then imbued her with magical powers, stating she would be tasked with defending the galaxy from evil transdimensional forces. She unconsciously agrees to this, and then has no recollection of ever making this agreement due to a concussion. Regardless, she's bound by word and now has to dress up reluctantly as a magical girl, to learn and use magical spells taught by the star spirit to defeat mystical threats."

Obligatory sorcery character, who might or might not be a shout-out to the Magical Girl genre. Still can't decide whether I want to take that route or not, since I'm totally not satisfied with whatever colors I try out with the 2nd outfit.

    Rampart: Defendman

Lady Anubis - New Costume Part Test

The new sorcerer box parts are pretty dang neat. Only gripe is that I wish the new anubis head wasn't so wrinkly. Had to downsize it a lot to make it look like it fit, but at the same time it actually can wear a good number of hats well I think!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Now then, with october over it's time to get back into normal pace. Just a few small updates:

    Paladin - Sacred Crusader Armor

As the extremely creative name might imply, this armor uses a combination of Sacred armor pieces from the Qliphothic Warzone, and the Crusader Armor costume set from the CStore. Sacred set's helmet is extremely good, I'll start off by saying that. The hip piece and leg armor meld in nicely with high boots as well, which is exactly what the Crusader gloves and boots accomplish. Feels at times like some of the pieces kind of cross-over with eachother. Like for example, Crusader leg armor looks like it'd match some of the Sacred patterns better with its curving lines on stuff like boots and the helmet, while the leg armor and shoulders of Sacred Armor seem to blend in excellent with the simple straight lines that most of the rest of the Crusader set has.

All in all great costume set if you want to look like a WoW character. Also big bummer neither of the sets really comes with matching heavy-duty chest armor. Still hoping someday I'll be able to carry around a bigger shield.

Might I also say, there's not nearly enough shoulderpads in the game that cover both the top and the side of the shoulder. I would've used the Sacred shoulderpads totally if they didn't look so awkward with the gloves and chainmail beneath them. Medieval armor pauldrons don't look like that!

    Corrosive - Gelatinous Form II

The Qstore now has Ghost materials on sale, so you can apply it to more than just Arcane Tats! This also mixes the ghost material in with a few parts I was able to find with the option, namely Nightmare Horns (from the beholder crow head unlock from Bloodmoon) and of course the Steel Arachnid set. Helps to make him look more goopy than normal.

Bulbous eyes were the only eye model that really stuck out of the Steel Arachnid head well, while the tubes on the body were a holdover back from when he still had bracers and gloves due to not having the Qstore unlocks yet. Stuck with it since it at least adds a bit of variety and structure.

    Porcelain Doll Mage

This creepy thing is an idea I've been tossing around ever since the chain update, and the inclusion of abilities that now exist relating to holding dolls, throwing dolls, and stabbing dolls now makes this maybe a more pertinent idea to pursue again? Basic concept is that it's some sort of cursed ancient mage that got tossed around as some sort of curio for centuries until it got awakened in a ritual.

Funny that you can see the exact point where I changed the concept behind the thing from 'uses chains' to 'uses magic' with the bracer switch. Still not sure what sort of build I'd put together to really utilize the voodoo powers to their fullest though.

Some more assorted experiments and alternate costumes for this holiday-time post!

    Project Gorgon - Toxic Beast

An alternate outfit for Gorgon, this appearance probably fits his concept of 'toxic genetically-engineered beast' a heck of a lot better than his original outfit. Probably have to work out the contrast to make it look a bit better, but I'm very pleased with the underlying skin texture and head design. Tried giving the old Colossus head a bit of a more unique appearance by combining it with Werewolf Ears.

    Tirade - Wolven Armor

As a bit of a side effect of the werewolf mane/Mohawk breaking colors for a grand total of a week, I tried my hand at revising Tirade's original appearance as a humanoid, swapping out the horned 'viking helmet' with the new Steel Wolf one, which I believe fits his current concept of 'half werewolf' a good deal better. Dunno if the ears on top of the helmet is too much, I felt the ones already included in the helmet don't stick out enough.

    Apostate - Dark Armor

I really do like how the Steel Wolf set turned out, makes for some excellent ornate armor. At the same time, I wanted to use the elements of that set to try and incorporate a darker and more complex design to the character. The original armor of the character was comparatively very bright. I feel like the darker armor might go along better with the much deeper and brighter reds and cyans of her body and hair.

    Euphoriate - Weird Womanly Form

Making use of the goofy 'Elegant' toy mask on this character to give him a crossdressing outfit. Not that farfetched considering how many old cartoon characters decide to whip out a girly disguise to have an excuse to repeatedly sock Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam or whoever. As a side note, I do like how Alluring has the same animation on it regardless of which gender your character is.

    Experiment - DEMON defect mage

The idea behind this outfit was to create a sorcerer character that was originally a member of DEMON that defected due to actually having proper principles. Never got around to making the character playable, though, since the idea wasn't very fun in my opinion - not compared to stuff like reluctant magical girl genre characters or cursed doll mage-golem things. Regardless of that, the design essentially takes the weird arcane elements of DEMON and refines it into a more stately look that probably would suit an 'evil' cultist trying to re-integrate into society well.

    Experiment - Burnpunk

Here's a random outfit I drafted up for a techy fire character. There isn't much about this character that I feel is really super stand-out. In fact, most of the parts on him I feel like are from some of the earlier costume sets featured in the game. I might even go so far as to say that only the cape, gloves, and bracers are in fact from this decade. Nonetheless, the category expansion the tailor got enabled me to do some unusual pairings, such as those blue eye goggles below the gas mask. Or the Insulated Gloves that cover the unsightly cuffs of the jumpsuit top.

    Experiment - Spiderdance

So! The new Toy Cat/Dog masks. They're huge. Like, stupid huge. Still don't know why they don't just count as heads, because there's basically a 0% chance that any kind of reasonable head would stick through this thing. Anyways, I say all that, because weird Spiderdance here is actually using a completely pitch-black Cat mask for his head, combining that with glowing red insect eyes and mandibles to give itself an arachnid face of some sort. It's pitch black, because anything lighter would easily reveal that it's actually a cat and not in fact a spider.

The shot I took actually sort of sucks. It makes a whole lot more sense when seen in motion (as the completely black colors aren't really helping its case). I actually think I could use this sort of trick on a character other than a weird floaty-limb spider. Like, this actually could be usable as a horrifying spider-person mutant I believe.

I wouldn't touch this costume with a 39 and a half foot pole.

The toy dog head looks pretty funny without ears and I wish I could wear a christmas cap with it. Happy Holidays, and make sure no green guys steal your tree.

    Ignuss - Heavy Lava

This one is somewhat old actually. After the tailor category reclassification update made a ton more combinations of parts possible, I decided to see what other things I could put on the roinesh head to make this magma monster's mug look more menacing. In the process, the body also got a bit larger and some bone plates appeared I guess.

As far as the face goes, he's now got eyebrows and a huge stone jaw.

    Rampart - Mecha

Still real bummed out there isn't a good selection of angular parts for armor. Let alone angular, aerodynamic parts for armor. Fans of Overwatch probably will recognize the color scheme and general appearance of the outfit as being pretty similar to the Mechaqueen skin. Just, less geometric and lady-shaped. Only a very narrow selection of armor choices really have the kind of hard-edges a look like that achieves. The majority of the old, available-since-launch mecha armor pieces have strange patterns with dots on them that match no other armor in the game, and the variable bot set is literally tainted with this weird off-color specular map that adds almost no detail, so the traditional options for such a look aren't much of a help unfortunately. All the more reason to challenge the limits, I say!

    Corrosive - Destroyer head test

I finally suffered through enough eidolon failures to get enough GCR to unlock this number, which comes in the neat and wonderful ghost material. While the spine on the back of the head looks a bit odd, its domed shape and smooth face work pretty well for the purposes I say. The lack of discernable neck (at least at this angle) also is a plus on a character like this, supposed to not really have a distinct form.

The glowing eyes visible there (and actually on the mech outfit) are coal eyes. They're not bad! A good alternative to the bug-eye goggles for when you need some general glowing eyes on your character.

Arcana - Magical Girl (dark) outfit

While pretty similar to the last iteration in terms of pieces, I mixed up the color scheme on the outfit a bit to make it look just a bit less like Sailor Mars. I dunno, making a good convincing magical girl outfit's tough because Sailor Moon is just about my only point of reference and I don't really have a huge number of options to really explore crazy ways to extrapolate off of that to make other genre-fitting forms? Think what I was really trying to get over on this iteration was expanding the character's color scheme, since most sailor scouts are just monochromatic, while other designs that are less 'sentai' based (Cardcaptor Sakura and stuff) don't really have character designs that limit themselves to a small palette.

I will say the steel-wolf shoulders are great for this look, though. The patterns on them actually match the fantasy shirt's fancy loops perfectly.

Assorted main characters I use a lot - Seasons outfits

I posted those just in time for christmas in california I guess, yay timezones. To the rest of the world, happy belated christmas n stuff!

Holy Crap these are amazing. I've been away from the game for a while, and I'm seeing costume pieces I've never seen before, and desperately want!

I really like your Halloween cosplays. I have some of my own you might like, would you mind if I shared them? I don't want to start posting a bunch of pics in your thread unless you're cool with it.

Thanks man! This thread's mostly for my own creations. If you want to strut your stuff (and don't plan on regularly creating more outfits), I'd suggest posting that cool stuff over in the Post Your Best Costumes thread.

Now let's see, I got a couple of new alts I've been toying around with:

    Ion Panther

"16-year-old cat Fuffles faithfully stayed by the side of his Engineering-major owner, all the way through elementary school to his college years. Yes, even risking the threat of expulsion, Fuffles' owner kept the cat well-cared for and well-hidden. Sadly, though, Fuffles would suffer from a heart disease, leaving it sick and bedridden while his owner graduated.

Not to be dissuaded, however, the engineer got straight to work on a big final project - constructing a new body for his cat, what originally started as a fairly anatomically-accurate reproduction of a cat sort of ended up spiraling out of control when Fuffles was abducted by Mechanon and augmented into his current form, Ion Panther. With the weaponry of a war machine and the mind of a cat, it didn't take long for Ion Panther to sneak behind Mechanon's walls and begin chasing lasers and generally making a mess of his base. Ion Panther made his debut as a 'hero?' on earth after Mechanon just sort of dumped him on earth and basically said he'd be the humans' problem now. Thankfully, he's now happily reunited with his owner."

So the build concept behind this guy is 'Power Armor without using slotted weapons'. This in practice has basically boiled down purely to 'Chest Beam, all day, all week.' There aren't enough other ranged powers that: A - Apply a radiation effect, and B - Hit powerfully enough on their own to justify use. As for the appearance, the really goofy 'pink panther' design lower down actually came first before I revised it into a more constrained, serious semi-militaristic color scheme with less exaggerated feline features. The overall creed of the design was to make it bulky and imposing, but also to kind of mask the human aspect of the design all around.

    Amagiri

"Abandoned as a pup, Amagiri was found and adopted by Tengus after her home had been raided by rowdy Tanuki raccoon dogs. Even back then, she still remembered the appearance and voices of the attackers, and soon asked her new parents for training to get her revenge. Soon, she took up her new name, meaning 'Heavenly Mist', and began to learn the ways of using the wind as her weapon. Kitsune magic, while not usually exercised with the wind, was powerful and versatile enough to shift itself into this new element, and Amagiri soon took to the air. Both a powerful aeromancer and shapeshifter, her operations have expanded far beyond just the scope of her homelands."

Pure wind build, nothing exciting. While it's still going to be mostly the standard Gust/Hurricane/Typhoon/Dust Devil build, looking over the set has made me realized how actually incomplete the build is when restricting yourself to not using either Ice or Lightning to augment it. For example, did you know there's absolutely no direct attack in the Wind set that applies Disorient? The debuff that is probably most ubiquitous to pure wind powers? In any case, still up in the air what sort of base design to go with, aside from being very distinctly a Kitsune. I wish I could get a nice detailed fur texture on the rest of the body to match the tail. Or otherwise have some other way to make it so that the tails don't look like just big ol' lumps.

    Paladin - Angel Knight

Probably the first thing to note about the outfit is that the proportions are actually way different on this one than any other outfit that Paladin has. And that's because it was actually designed as a costume for a different alt, but I couldn't figure out a good build, and the theme of 'holy angel knight' fit paladin well enough that I'd might as well throw it on there. I really love how this outfit turned out, as it involves a ton of rather new armor pieces, almost all of them clip, and still somehow all of them mesh together so well. The inmate chestplate melds in almost perfectly with the angles on the steel wolf hip armor and shoulderpads. The sacred helmet fits together nicely with the daring visor and psionic-dragon head pieces. The arcane armor bracers provide nice padding to the crusader gloves - it all just worked somehow.

    Experiment - Ghost Blade

A concept character for a healing laser-sword build. Basically, an undead/angelic knight that uses a holy blade to place healing enchantments on people or something. Still very much a WIP, don't think I like the color scheme at all. I'd probably have gone with a more blue-based color-scheme/armor, but the reason I wanted to choose a different shade was because that would've made it way too similar to the Angel-Knight outfit. Probably no surprise, the two outfits were made in pretty close succession to one another.
Also, holding off on making this another alt since I just made that kitsune one after coming to terms just how furry that alt was and then not caring for some reason.

    Homage - THE FINAL PAM

Inspired by some other content the guys who did the funny as hell Champions Online Monster Factory video, The Final Pam is an inter-gamensional threat that breaks Todd Howard games, flies through the air, and uses Grognak's axe to oneshot all enemies. It's the closest attempt I can get to matching her most iconic appearance in the Fallout 4 Monster Factory.

I was just wondering if someone would make the Final Pam here, and I am glad it was you, bluh. I also really like Ion Panther's color scheme for the first costume. He ought to have a Killer Queen outfit though.
