Coupled with helmsman and momentum and the Narcines already quite high turn rate, it is not a problem, so as much as I appreciate your "suggestion" my build works just fine, especially for my purposes.
I like them very much, I am currently using 4 CrtDx3 DHC on my aquatic carrier. They are great for dealing with clusters of targets (they are fantastic for NWS for example). Here is my build. http://gateway.startrekonline.com/#char(Nilvok@til027)/ship-equipment
Not my timetable, I just used a number that had been tossed around. I do like the idea someone mentioned where the free ZEN is removed from the package. But I think this is about as likely to be implemented as a PvP revamp... (not possible in other words)
To grind 100,000 ZEN (15million dilithium) on 3 characters with 8000 dili per day, would take you 625 days, just under 2 solid years, providing the dilithium exchange doesn't go up, which it likely will. There is no way that subscriptions are Cryptics main source of income, I doubt they earn a quarter of the money from…
Could someone explain why anyone would care to begin with? PvP is a dead no reward 'fun' activity, so what if some builds are "overpowered", if you can't beat them (which most of you seem to think you can anyway although that begs the question, why complain so much) join them. Or just stop PvPing, since no one, cryptic…
I would give it a miss, their prices seem to be very inflated, probably because of the lack of supply. So if you want a science ship, get a palisade or wells and if you want an escort get a Hirogen hunter, nicor or elachi s'golth all are much cheaper, and just as good if not better than the orb.
Although I agree the exchange does need a rework, you have to take into consideration, do you really want cryptic playing around with the exchange? It will likely end in disaster.
Every single argument I have seen you post in regards to money has been nothing but childish personal attacks. You don't have a right to an item you can't afford because you can't afford it and are too lazy and or arrogant to change that. Stop with your ridiculous self entitlement and stop trying to hinder other peoples…
How can anything ruin PvP or PvE, you gain nothing by having a good build from either of them, I could be doing 500dps in a PvE team and still get the same rewards as a guy doing 20,000... PvP the only thing you get is a the satisfaction of pointlessly beating someone else. If this game had some actual penalty for losing,…
Replace a turret with kinetic cutting beam and another with a heavy bio turret, stick a tachyokinetic converter and Hydronamics compensator where your two field generators are. Unless you're desperate for more crit, I would also stick a plasmonic leech where your bio infusion console is. Replace CRF3 with APB3 and APB1…
Elachi CrtDx3's are my favorite. This is my current build for them, http://gateway.startrekonline.com/#char(Nilvok@til027)/ship-equipment It gets great DPS, the Nicor is a great ship for them. They can get quite expensive though, including the ship this build cost me about 300mil.
When that time comes, there will be a thread similar to this, with people who have never seen EC figures larger than 8 characters, telling us all how we play the game wrong and trying to sound intelligent by making ridiculous statements about economy mechanics and gold selling. Trades worth more than 1,000,000,000 ec…
What about paying for a high value commodity seems odd to you? Fleet credits have only so much value and at a certain point that value runs out. Selling fleet marks was a very lucrative market it has plummeted a little since the mark weekend however. In a few weeks it should steady out again.
Not really, if you open 100 packs you're very likely to get one, most people who have gotten one have done it with 30 packs or less. Some fairly extensive testing was done on tribble as well, which confirms the 1/100 odds. But you're correct, you will never be 'certain' to get one, since cryptic doesn't really deal in…
I think you misunderstand the way this works, the limit on the exchange does not affect the prices of items in any way, when something surpasses the limit it is no longer available on the exchange instead it is taken to trading channels. What you're essentially saying is about as ignorant as "If I can't see something it's…
The only consoles I have bought a c-store ship for are; Nadion Saturation Valdore Console Quad Phaser cannons Nadion Saturation is massively powerful, especially for No Win Scenario although it does require you to use a Phaser weapon type to get the best value out of it. Valdore console is a pretty useful piece of kit for…
Possibly, although I have my doubts, most players with the money to afford bug ships and bulwarks would not be significantly affected by an ec sink, so I wonder how effective it would be. It might help to slow the problem, or provide a temporary solution but I have a feeling such a sink would just end up going like this.…
Reasons to increase: 1: It doesn't make sense to limit the amount of currency that can be traded on an exchange. 2: The current 'exchange' does not cater for all items which are available for trade. 3: Why does it affect you in any way if the exchange is increased? Prices will not be affected, the current "value" of items…
You just gave me a reason that it SHOULD be increased, I would be petitioning for the exchange cap to be lifted even if the bug and bulwark were worth less than 500mil, however the exchange currently does not cater for all items available for trading in the game, therefore it is broken and must be fixed immediately.
There is no logical reason for having an exchange limit of 500mil, some people think it is "morally wrong" to have to pay 500,000,000EC or more for an item, why? Do I care that some (most) of you do not understand how to earn this kind of money from a system like STO's? No, not in the slightest it is by your own doing (or…
I'm not sure if you understand how bio-engineering works, but it is constrained by the laws of physics, and what an organic creature is actually capable of possibly becoming. I have never seen an argument where someone is saying dinosaurs are not threatening enough... Second to humans they have been the apex predators to…
