Exchange in desparate need of a clean up

The title says it all. It's really time to clean up the exchange.


- Add more sliders that let us search for distinct traits on BOFFs and DOFFs and for special reward packs like "genetic resequencers", "doff packs" or "ship requisition packs".

- Remove categories like "Recipes". I've never seen a single item being listed there.

- "Kit modules" should be in the "Personal Equipment" tray, R&D stuff in the "Commodities" tray

- Make EVERY tradable item fit into a tray. I still cannot find "Fleet modules" in any category

- Fix the "Ascending/Descending Price per Unit" mix up bug

- Make the search function work even if you haven't specified any category or rarity

- Fix the bug that makes item lists disapear after you've bought one item (especially annoying when buying serveral common DOFFs for fleet projects)

- Include a "reset" button into the exchange


Any work in this general direction would be very much appreciated. ;)

    Although I agree the exchange does need a rework, you have to take into consideration, do you really want cryptic playing around with the exchange? It will likely end in disaster.

    Well I think if they would put in some real effort to make an overhaul they might get it right. And they could use Tribble for extensive testing before implementing it on the Holodeck server. After all that's what Tribble's there for.

    There is an update to the exchange tabs coming in season 9.5.

    Really? Good to hear. So far though they've only added two R&D tabs and a Kits tab.

    Last time they did anything to the exchange they broke the 'all' tab.. plus the person who designed this horrific new doff ui will likely be the same person who would design the new exchange ui. So if you like gigantic boxes and lots of scrolling then feel free to ask for an exchange revamp.

    The new update was added to tribble. It could be live within weeks. YAY! FINALLY!

    that would be nice...

    when i search for dofs I want to filter for quality/rarity,specialization and traits
    when i search for boffs I want to filter for quality/rarity, species, gender, faction, traits and skills

    right now looking for the right Boff or Doff is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

    it would also be nice if the special reward packs were split in to categories for genetic sequencers, doff packs, ship requisition packs and outfit boxes.

    it's annoying to have to go through 5 screens of scarfs when you are really looking for a galor class and to lazy to type more that car....
    THE NEW CRAFTING SYSTEM IS TERRA-BAD
    First of all it's not even a crafting system! It's just a dumb game system that's nothing more than a glorified slots machine.
    second the "special items" you hope will be the saving the saving grace are messed up to.

    Amen, brother! Finding the right doffs or boffs right now is a nightmare, and it shouldn't be that way. And you nailed exactly what search filters we need.

    +1 to original post. The current exchange update on Tribble is not adequate.

    As for worrying about Cryptic TRIBBLE it up, they should have the money and personnel now to do a better job.
