Many thanks, I do like to have a project to work towards. So tinkering with new ships is good. I will check out that link. I assumed broadsiding cruisers were not very viable? (don't get me wrong i love battlecruisers)

Personally I agree the attack ship is the best. However the new Jemmy escort looks good, i havent used it yet, also this ship is not lockbox her say, but the Mobius time ship is also a very good ship if your an escort captain.

Well firstly I have run a very successful build. I ran the Manheim and the tippler but with a 5 minute cool down on temporal back step it's just not worth the loss in dps for a glorified oh $hit button. Personally for a Tac captain, I would recommend if you can get your hands on is a Galor. It has high shield modifier, and a better turn rate than the Excel. Single cannons and quantum torps work well or dual beam banks. I do use an RCS on mine.

Just a query does having the field generators do they give diminishing returns at all? I know Tac slots don't buy eng armours do. Thanks

Okay my doffs would be as follows. 2 purple cannon ability doffs 2 torp ability doffs The last doff I'm open to suggestions. I didn't use the TT doff as I'm running 2 instances of TT. I could lose the cloaking device for some more sustained dps.

Well, do you have one? What sort of captain are you? What is your intended build? Boff layout. If you need build advice take a look at the sto academy there are a few saved builds from other players.

I personally think you should get mark 12 or even fleet fear as the Borg ones are only good for stf's but their DPS is lower than advance fleet gear. I've noticed an overall dps increase when I swapped my chroniton torps for advanced fleet gear.

/bump. Also have changed the build a little Gotten rid of HYT1 and replaced it with TS1. alpha strike fly in with CSV, GW, EPTW, APA and TS2 Then on my way out I'll usually use the TDD and TS1 which causes mass carnage. I'd love to hear what other captains do. Thanks

On my mobius I am running the 3 piece Borg. Shield, deflector and engines. Feel it works well, I like the hull regen and the regenerative shielding.
