Our method of diplomacy is similar to that of the US. If the enemy poses a legitimate threat to our borders, we will try and settle things peacefully. But if we find one illegal dilithium mine in Bumf*** space, we will force them to join the Federation peacefully.

This has probably already been posted, but you won't give new recruits the ship of the line. They'll have to use older ships, not outdated, but not brand new. Like the Miranda, it was used in the DS9 battles, and is a good filler for PoS ships. I.e. Low ranks.

I'm guessing that Seirra and Antares are pretty canon. But I tend to wear the VA uniform, so this won't effect me.

I guess it is canon, but I don't believe that people who want to have a good time in a simple cruiser at Ker'rat should be mixed with the 25K DPS people. Maybe there should be a limit of 5k DPS, which is already far too much and uneeded, but will make the game a bit more fair.

Oh, yes, a star trek series. Enterprise was such a great series, why not see if we can make another one? But it seems to have the darker feel of BSG, so maybe it'll make a good 3 seasons before it flops.

I always wear my Vice Admiral jacket, and if I go to Risa, or somewhere that will look odd being in uniform, I wear a black off duty shirt, and blue long pants. We all know it's just going to be a uniform, and a ship for rear admirals for each faction. Its nice, really, but we know what it'll be.

Don't waste money on a gaming rig just for STO. Buy a newer one, and lower settings a bit, save a few hundred bucks, and just disable some effects. Worst comes to worst, you don't see turrets fire, or warp trail.
