TOS to Enterprise had plenty of action, but there is only a few seasons in old Star Trek that had the constant crisis like the Dominion War or Xindi War. However, the Dominion War in DS9 seems like it was influenced by Babylon 5.

So we have one more episode tomorrow of Prodigy before it goes on hiatus. Discovery returns next week and ends in the middle of March while Picard starts early March and ends on the same day as the series premiere for Strange New Worlds. So we have 3 weeks of Discovery and Picard and 1 week of Picard and Strange New Worlds.

And a very lousy and invalid plot point. It only explains why pre-Burn transwarp conduits are not used, but it doesn't explain why post-Burn transwarp conduits aren't created. Limiting post-Burn transwarp conduits to certain personnel would make sense why they aren't used.
