The romulan faction your referring from the tv shows is the Romulan Star Empire/Tal Shiar not the Romulan republic which was created after the destruction of Romulus and are the exact opposite of the RSE/Tal shiar.

The main reason you find new players in queues is because TFO's are included in the mission arcs and it's not immediately obvious to new players that they can be skipped.

hmm, this sounds similar to warframes renown packs on the ps4 and the prestige packs on xbox.

i just finished the secrets mission from the discovery arc and as soon as i started to approach the station the game decided that a level 65 KDF gorn character needed to be told about the radiation scanning minigame despite having done it 100s of times previously with that character.

everything rolled into one and a storyline that sends you back to TOS era and... stay there i think.

i keep getting crashes if i try to switch to a character that's on DS9, it usually takes a 2nd attempt before that character will load. This would be more annoying for Jem'hadar characters since ds9 is their home transwarp location.

i rather like the new discovery phaser FX, they now don't look like blue turbolasers, the sound effect though is a bit flat and don't have a beam overload variant in fact i don't think there is any difference between a standard beam shot and an overload shot both audio or visual.

the omega torp does plasma damage which is an energy type but this variant isn't boosted by the plasma infuser or ambiplasma consoles, plus the high yield omega torps are described in-game as plasma energy bolts.

if there is a patch for the console versions, it might be going through certification atm (if cryptic has submitted it to ms and sony) since that can take upto 2 weeks to complete.

your suggestions will just drive even more players away from the queues and cross play with ps4 will take months if not years to implement as it has only just been given the green light from sony

well no because it only happened while i was doing the main Dominion storyline for the Jem'hadar, after finishing it and going onto the chosen allied faction missions it stopped.

I am also getting lag, rubber banding, delays in menu's etc on ps4

mostly Quantum or Kelvin Photon, however my romulan char is using plasma and disrupting photon, my KDF gorn is using the lukari photon torp which is pretty good, sadly transphasic and tri-cobalt are the most neglected torp types in the game.

my jem'hadar character cannot start the gamma reputation despite having plenty of resources, restarting the console and going to another location does not seem to fix it, all the counters remain at 0 regardless of slider position. EDIT: This is also effecting the Risa event reputation.
