PS4 queues

I have been sitting here for over an hour on my PS4 and I have only completed three out of my 5 CCA runs I was going to do today is the cue system on PS4 ever going to be fixed?

    Fascinating. :(

    A fleet mate of mine complained about similar issues yesterday but she is on PC. I really hope we look at a CC specific problem here and not at another milestone for the decline of general interest for PvE in this game.

    It's an issue on console thats been ongoing since VIL arrived.

    Best bet is to sit in a zone like sector space and swap instances when the queue fails. Downside is you HAVE to be in a zone like that with a population big enough to have more than once instance active.

    Consoles also had an issue with rep tasks not starting and that took them far too long to get sorted given it s a core mechanism of the game. In the bug report thread for that a dev basically said they'd be able to fix it but only if they stopped doing other things which given the announcements following it does seem like VIL and its foibles really did take a back seat due to discovery. They did eventually sort it but that bug was active for 6-7weeks.

    The queue issue has now been going longer and instead of giving any feedback about a fix we've heard nothing from them and are due to be starting the breach event this week if the back to back events follow suit from PC.

    Because of the bug I stopped doing the CC event as soon as I'd got the account unlock. And there's no way in hell I'll be buying the breach tokens from the store when that turns up.

    They have verbally addressed the queue issue on the Livestream 2 weeks ago. Kael said 'they are mystified as they had thought they had fixed it with the prior patch'. So they are working on it.

    Don't know how they thought it was fixed as there was no change before or after the alleged fix arriving.

    Noticed earlier that they seem to have pulled the back to back events on console as the breach no longer shows in the events calendar.

    This issues has been going on way long then VIL, pc ps4 and xbox one its not anything new. It is one of the reason why people have left the game it takes to long and its the same ones that get played it is been going on too long.

    On console the population is such that a wait was fairly normal but when it popped you were actually able to accept each and every time without having to transition to a different instance.

    Maybe I was just lucky but with how often it happens since the launch of VIL I'm prepared to give cryptic the benefit of the doubt and say that it was a bug that arrived at that time. The poorly executed "battle" zone certainly made it way more noticable if it was in the game before then.

    And the gamma waiting zone also had the knock on effect of highlighting how long its taken so far to get fixed.

    So here is my idea to fix it.

    1:Make it gold gear space and ground not tradable in the Advanced & elite ques Not easy mode aka normal and in random ques so they all get played. Advanced ques would have MK XII Elite would have mk XIV

    2: Cross play with PC,PS4,XBOX ONE that will increase the players for the ques. As this is a issues on all platforms has been for a long time issues well over a year.

    3: Get rid of the normal que (will increase the space for other content) If players are not strong enough to run Advanced or elite they can work at getting stronger. Most players don't even play half of the story arc so they are missing out on good pve gear that is good enough for pve queues. As I use that gear for a long time still do on some ships.
    So this is my idea let's make this happen.

    Its been a issues for a while Am on ps4 and been on since day one Last week i ques up it kick me out as other were not queing up 7 times i had to re queue and it was in the middle of the day and it still happens. So or not its been a long time issues more than a few months it takes so long to que up. Oh yea back in jan/feb priority one podcast they even said that it was a issues so yea long time issue.

    your suggestions will just drive even more players away from the queues and cross play with ps4 will take months if not years to implement as it has only just been given the green light from sony

    Queues are deader in platforms than in PC. Hopefully things might improve with the next AoD version update?​​
