tac on an atrox would be interesting: you'd probably have to use beam arrays since it's just so slow. you would want to have 2 FAW, 2 Attack Pattern Beta, 9 points in attack patterns, put that debuff on everything that moves.

on the PVE topic, I've been able to do quite well with 4 DBB and 2 copies of FAW, using a tac oddy. My record on Blockade is 20 ships of 21 saved. However, I do use the chevron sep module incessantly. It's hard to imagine flying a cruiser without it, honestly.
if you're going to try to run an oddy in PVP, it can get rough if you don't have the chevron sep module. don't forget that a beam array oddy only has 70 degrees of optimal damage output.

here's the trick: even after the fleet starbases are completed, there will be big repeatable projects that people can contribute for for fleet points. Effectively, there are an infinite amount of fleet credits that the system will provide. It's only a matter of time.
I was actually planning on running 1 TT with 2x of the conn officer doffs that reduce the TT cooldown. With those 2 doffs I can keep TT up every 15 seconds without having to burn a valuable tac slot. this is funny, because my fleet had people begging to be allowed to contribute some dil to the windows. We got all 200k in less than a minute. I wish it did require meat flarks, because that's the one I enjoy farming :p
well, the way I see it, is would I rather have a 10% chance of proccing a shield heal, or moar DPS. If I was a shield tank (which is now much more viable), I would consider it, but honestly I don't need more tank at the point, I need more pewpew.

which ship are you talking here? I don't think shields + aux is such a good idea, why shields if you're never going to get attacked? the interesting thing about saucer sep is that I can basically leave it on all fight. if my saucer dies, it doesn't matter, I'll keep the boost until I decide to start the 5 minute cooldown. Can an oddy equip cannons? I wasn't sure.
I was thinking about this ussult, what do you think about tanking and DPSing with the oddy saucer sep on all the time. would that be worth it, it basically makes the oddy an escort.
