Uh oh, we got a Kirk icon here. You know those icons dont believe in No Win Scenarios lol.
Oh god of Destruction,
I have a confession. Im a bit of a Trek racist, and use a lot of Human BOs. Ive never seen anyone take advantage of their hull strength abilities in their builds. Then again, I cant seem to find the change in numbers when I slot the human BOs in and out. Your thoughts on humans as BOs for the "hull trait"?

@doubleohnine: I use the same Saurians I've had for the last year or so. To be honest, I haven't bothered taking the time to test that.
@general1devon: Glad you think so, though I didn't have it generated anywhere. Found a system with the lighting I wanted, took a screenshot of my ship, went into the tailor and took a screenshot of my character, threw them both into Photoshop and played around until I settled on something I liked (within the rather tiny limits of STO's forum).
Playing GW2 this weekend... can find me monday if you're that hell-bent on fighting me.

Yes it would. Seen Excelsiors and Sovereigns put it to excellent use.
Haven't tried with the Odyssey.
How about a Vo'Quv? I've tried a torp-oriented build with triple RCS accelerators, but I'm feeling squishy and not quite certain I'm netting much more overall DPS than with my dual hargh'peng and 4 turrets build.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
A fight against TSI, I'm only too happy to take you up on that treat. Will hit you up in game by the weekend. Against most anyone from your fleet I can guarantee my loss, but will be fun.

Sorry, didn't see your post. Yes, I suppose it would. Vo'Quv has many of the same turn limitations and durability options of the dreadnought, so the same weapon configuration would actually serve it well to support a broad cannon arc without sacrificing forward-facing damage. Just know that it is of course more useful on a dreadnought with the lance, because the forward arc is ultimately what is most important.

Hakaishin, I must say your build for the Dreadnought is extremely good. In fact, it has renewed my love for the old girl. I tried in on my tact and it works beautifully. I have since switched to the Tanking route using my Eng, so I'm wondering if it's worth even using the God of Destruction weapons build in lieu of the traditional beam boat. I mostly do PVE Elite stuff, so PVP isn't really my focus.
My main worry is that I won't be able to use FAW and pull a ton of aggro against multiple enemies.

I noted for an Engi or Sci, you'll likely get more use out of a beam boat variant. In PvP, and as a Tac, you are most useful in systematically "sniping" out targets of opportunity and focusing damage to maximize impact, rather than spreading it around.
I included possible beam boat variants if you wanted to try them.
Essentially the idea to remember is a Tac's purpose is not tanking or harassment generally, but systematic annihilation (there are exceptions of course, but this is a fairly general and valid point). Engi and Sci can both use the dreadnought, but it will function far differently.
The new PvE missions have a need as well though for lots of AoE firepower. 8 beam 2x FAW + APB fills this role very adequately.

Would your boff layout work on Assault Cruisers, with a few minor changes?
Dreadnought class. Two times the size, three times the speed. Advanced weaponry. Modified for a minimal crew. Unlike most Federation vessels, it's built solely for combat.

Hakai, what would you do with the fleet assault cruiser? Don't forget that the last boff slot is a universal Lt., it's hard to tell.
What are your thoughts on the subspace jump console? is it enough of a maneuverability increase to be worth slotting on a big cruiser like the GX?
Holy ****. That's actually a really nice BOFF layout. LTC and LT Tac with a universal LT...
Hated the Sov before. This is curious... too bad I'll never fly it, simply because I won't be in STO anymore.
Given so much is invested into Tac now, I'd likely abandon Sci altogether for Engineering capability.
Weapon loadout with the Sovereign's superior turn rate would likely still be the same, 4/4 SC's and Turrets for simplicity and allowing freedom in Skill Point dispersal. This also eliminates the need for EPTW in favor of more destructive and supportive skills.
Lt Tac: Tactical Team 1, CRF 1
LtC Tac: Tactical Team 1, CRF 1, Attack Pattern of your choice (Delta PvP, Beta either. Don't recommend Omega since you can only get Omega 1 instead of Delta/Beta 2).
Ens Eng: EPTS 1
Com Eng: EPTS 1, DEM 1, Extends 2, AuxSIF 3
LT Uni (PvE): Engi Team 1 (hull heal when you don't need to chain your Tac Teams), DEM 1.
LT Uni (PvP): Sci Team 1 (Sub Nuc removal), HE2.

Sorry to hear that you're leaving STO man: if you don't want to have to build a starbase, you 'could' join a fleet that's already building at top speed, so you wouldn't have to PVE any. we could use some good pvpers....
I'm intrigued that you put an engineer in the uni slot, honestly my knee jerk reaction was to put another tac there.

SOB's already doing that. But I have no desire to give Cryptic the money to bother. They've managed to anger most of the entire PvP playerbase.
Even without the Starbase manufacturing, I need to PvE for 20,000 fleet credits, and pay Cryptic money to get ships that grant power advantages in PvP that they shouldn't.
Pay To Win in its entirety.
As to the ship's configuration, remember - you aren't an escort.
Even with additional tac availability, you're still a cruiser. LTC and LT is more than sufficient (2x Tac Team, 2x CRF, and an Attack Pattern with 8x cannon-based weapons and 2x DEM. Combined with 4th tac console, superior DPS to even my Dreadnought in sustained fighting).
Don't be tricked into believing you can be an Escort in a cruiser's body. You can do some nice stuff with those two tac officers, but you sacrifice a LOT of your cruiser survivability if you give up that Universal slot for a Tac, and you don't have the Escort's maneuverability to make up for it.

Lately I've been on less and less due to the ridiculous sway to PvE the game has taken, catering to those cowards and fools while simultaneously ignoring and laughing at us entirely for two years.
This weekend I am moving to a new house the wife and I just bought thanks to my new job. I was expecting to be on a little more, but PvE doesn't excite me.
Give me a week tops, we'll have our match. I apologize for the delay.

Two more videos added to the original post. Both are older renditions of my Dreadnought from quite a few months ago, but still gives a decent idea as far as its use.
Both videos, even both with and against experienced Escort PvPers, I topped out in damage above them all, stealing #1 DPS slot in both matches by a rather sizable margin.
Again, these are both older videos... the latest Dreadnought rendition is stronger.
