Large Fleets = players getting little Fleet credit?

levi3levi3 Member Posts: 1,663 Arc User
I have a Fleet of 1 - so alreay have racked up 300k fleet credits - but the fleet marks are a lot of work

4 projects finished -5 or 6 by days end

would consider taking on a few Lvl 50 players who want to earn fleet credits but are not able in a big fleet

Do players out there find it hard on a large fleet to get credits?

Theoretically, larger fleets will complete projects faster, therefore more projects will be completed. The up-to-20-hour cooldown time on projects is the main obstacle to running projects as fast as players are willing to fund them.

My problem is that I have all the EC/dilth/mats/doffs - coming out of the wazzoo from my alts and bank - but the fleet marks are the hard thing

here's the trick: even after the fleet starbases are completed, there will be big repeatable projects that people can contribute for for fleet points. Effectively, there are an infinite amount of fleet credits that the system will provide. It's only a matter of time.

I guess in a few days after I super grind fleet marks I will take some time to recruit a few people who just want to work on the starbase

The time gate alone puts people at a certain pace. What I dont understand is why the hell they made the starbases so horribly expensive to build.

A small fleet of ~10 people has literally no hope to get their fleet upgrade ships through their own starbase because it will take a year or more of grinding that TRIBBLE.

Large fleets on the other hand, can get it down quickly and literally fill all projects as soon as the previous one's timer is done.

So... we are forced to game the game. Hold the small fleet with an alt, get into massive fleet sizes until we get our fleet ships and then dump the horde of clusterfarks, return to small fleet and spend months and months building the base.

What I think it is going to come down to is that each of the smaller fleets needs to stock up on all of their alternative characters first on: dilithium, DOffs, data samples, commodities, and fleet marks. Then those fleets can begin doing projects for upgrades. Finding the cheapest places to buy items and earning the most amount of items will be key.

If anything I would suggest is talking to other small fleeters and team up with them to earn fleet marks and work towards common goals for other needed items.

It really depends on the amount of resources a Fleet can deal out, not the amount of people in a Fleet. Granted a large fleet should have more resources... it really comes down to the player...

In my Fleet, less than 10 people contributed to the first few projects.. but we have a Sci, Eng, and Military already underway... I personally opened the windows for 200k dil... I still have a lot of dil left over from my MK XII grind for glory...

Colony Invasion is fast and worth quite of bit of marks... during the bonus marks.. I would cycle through my toons to get it complete.. for max marks per hour...

Don't forget you can easily buy doffs from the academies to fill in the blanks.... so with a little planning its quite easy to get your base built...

A small Fleet of grinders will get their base complete before a large Fleet of people who don't really contribute..

Longer then that, Medium sized fleet 20-30 Active (active = on for 3 hours a day ) people they discussed would take 1 1/2 - 2 years. Smaller then that even Longer.

The total amount of stuff I have is staggering - 2000 each of Jev/Shape/ketra - etc - 4000 chrono mats - 2000+ for the others

    1,000,000 dilth / 200 million ec

5 fed toons with 400 doffs - I have 30 eng Purple doff - with resolve and 1 special trait for making proto consoles - i think they go for 30 mill each on the exchange

almost all my doffs are free and clear - I don't think you can use bound doffs anyways

its fleet marks that will greatly slow any progress

(yes- both in game and at home I am a pack rat)

As long as the people in charge of projects are on the ball, no. This is what the special projects are for, with their 30 min cd.
