  • The threat control, which is currently unlockable via the Tactical tree, HAS to go to the Engineering tree. Or better: Make the threat-increase an engineering-perk, and leave the threat-decrease as a tactical perk. I mean... why move a vital threat skill miles away from the TANK-tree (engineering)?? I do not get it...
  • Awesome news, can't wait. But I really hope those screenshots are REALLY preliminary, cause right now that interface menu looks pretty underwhelming :/
  • I played the mission twice recently and have never encountered this issue. Can you reproduce this glitch?
  • Not that anyone seems to bother ;) Anyway, it's more than just an annoying glitch, it prevents a sizable part of this mission to be incomprehensible.
  • I really really want the ships to carry the names I have given them. It is integral to an RPG for your "pets" to bear your chosen names. I want to feel at least a little bit of immersion :-(
  • General comment: Both missions are VERY short. A bit too short IMHO. And I do not mean more fighter waves coming in. The story is extremely thin, and new players playing through these new four missions will be done with an entire story-arc before they even notice. I know that, at this point, the missions more or less stand…
  • A Dev once commented on that... It's all about being able to properly display an object in relation to a larger group of players as well as symbolically display the size of a location via its outward appearance. It was a conscious decision for Cryptic to ridiculously oversize DS9 and K7, as these stations canon-models…
  • It's typical that concise bug reports like this are ignored by both the community and the Devs^^ I guess reports like this are to high of a quality to start unfounded rants etc... They ain't fun :p
  • Really nice. What I thought about was a map like this, albeit with each system being colored according to their allegiance (grey for neutral/unknown). The blurry background colors make it difficult to estimate the political "borders" (2D-projected in a 3D-space, I know, but it would more closely resemble the look and feel…
  • Major argument against playable Borg: Flying around Cubes or even Tactical Cubes would be insane. A Tac Cube is almost as huge as ESD. Imagine the Sol System with a COUPLE of them. Absolutely ridiculous. IF Liberated Borg are a playable faction, the biggest ship we should be allowed to control is a Sphere imo.
  • Bugs/Observations as of 17 April 2015: * It seems that at a distance of 9.1 light years, stars start to show diffraction spikes (the little glowy spike thingies pointing outwards). That effect pops up without any transition, which is very "ugly". Before that, stars are unanimated, barely visible, little globes. In my view,…
  • In this case, the "Galaxy map" and the "Area map" show two different things right now... Almost as bad^^ Thanks for the notification wrt the wiki! Feel free to contribute yourself! We need all the assistance we can get :)
  • No, I mean the "area map" overview, when you press "M". The entire area around Bajor all the way to Trill is colored in brown, i.e., Cardassian, which seems like the exact opposite of what the Patch Notes claim.
  • I am afraid you did it exactly the other way 'round. Bajor/DS9 Is now well within solid brown/Cardassian territory. Someone mixed up those colors ;) Furthermore: The titles of the Fomalhaut System and the "Warp to Beta Quadrant" waypoint are overlapping.
  • Interesting point... I think what we would also need is a "space map" for ground. Do we actually have that already?
  • I am not able to comprehend what you are trying to express. Sounds like a troll, an algorithm, or a drunk to me. Such a scrambled grammar has nothing to do with not being a native speaker.
  • Some remaining issues as of March 23, 2015: * BOff contacts (e.g., warp to next Quadrant, navigation info, red alert notifications) are erroneously displayed with a viewscreen frame (although they are supposed to be on your own bridge) and without or the wrong bridge background (Galaxy-style and not Origin style for FED).…
  • Jurlek being invisible has been fixed on Live recently. As for the BoP wings fold-back issue, this seems to be persisting. While we're at it: Warden Gazzan's voice has a secondary hissing-effect during "First CIty" and "The Hunt is on". However, in "Space Chase" and "Manhunt" this effect is missing. Bit of a minor…
  • The Grant Diplomatic Immunity/Assign Raiding Party ability also buffs the maximum warp speed and turn rate in sector space. However, it can only be applied to other players, not to yourself.
  • The description text for the system takes this into account and specifically mentions the existence of other systems of the same name.
  • Posted my feedback/bug list here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=22698271&postcount=205
  • Updated as of March 7: Bugs/Errors: * BOff contacts (e.g., warp to next Quadrant, navigation info, red alert notifications) are erroneously displayed with a viewscreen frame (although they are supposed to be on your own bridge) and without or the wrong bridge background (Galaxy-style and not Origin style for FED). *…
  • When it comes to discrepancies between background graphics seen on-screen and real dialogue, the latter should always be given precedence. There are a few other instances like that, e.g., Starbase 23 <--> 24 in TNG: "Sins of the Father".
  • AWESOME work guys! And THANKS tacofangs for editing the list on STOWiki, that really helps us wiki-authors to do the rest. Bugs/Errors: * Vestalan System: Plotting a course to it puts your ship right on the star's surface... Probably also happens with a few other system. * BOff contacts (e.g., warp to next Quadrant,…

  • Can't you simply REMOVE Cestus (for now)? There are no Cryptic mission hooked up to it as of now. Foundry missions that use that door could be moved to another door. Sure, that would require those authors to correct their mission texts, and maybe compromise their mission canon, but that is a rather small prize to pay for…
  • Looks AWESOME! Great job (and I know it was A LOT of work)... One remark: How will the political borders be shown in astrometrics? The way the map is displayed suggests whole sectors are always controlled by a faction, and borders are always along sector borders (sectors have faction colors). However, in most cases…
  • With the title of the thread I never intended to refer to TV-canon (i.e., "real" Trek canon), but the body of information that makes up the STO universe. I just think, the Path of 2409 seems more and more "outdated" and disconnected from the game (naturally, as the game progresses, but the Path remains unchanged since…
  • Not exactly contradictions... more so references which appear kinda outdated by now, e.g., Sela hiring the Hirogen (which were completely cut out of the Romulan story arc), or the mention of "fundamentally changing Starfleet's command structure" (which was supposed to kinda explain the events of the original STO tutorial,…
  • Mission "Taris" * Asking Adm. T'nae about the Iconians after the mission erroneously triggers a misplaced voice-over from the conclusion of the mission "Coliseum". * The last door on the Iconian underground map opens, showing a half-finished, half-black room. I guess this should be a locked door. * Numerous contact dialog…
