In Brandon's defence, the servers are (theoretically) on 24 hours a day. He probably only does 8-hour shifts or so. Are you seriously suggesting they put someone on 24-hour callout (with the additional wages that would incur) just to say on the forums something that's being said on Facebook and Twitter anyway?
Typical. I wander off to do some work, and get this from Royal Mail's site: I guess the day's postage labels won't be getting printed for a few hours either.
Loot collection's as bad as hailing for me. It's more a PvE than PvP problem though, usually after tric-bombing stuff in a mine-B'rel. Step 1: Kill target (usually a cube for the Borg border defence daily). Step 2: Habitually collect loot. Step 3: Get decloaked. Step 4: Get slapped by the ships that were escorting the ship…
As Neo said, this should really be in the Tribble feedback forums. Did the player you invited have access to the closed beta? If not, they were probably what caused the lockup by trying to go somewhere they shouldn't. Import your above-25 character from Holodeck onto Tribble. There's no guarantee you can make a Romulan…
No idea if a history of previous testing is taken into account, but I got into the Romulan closed beta. I was on Tribble for testing season 6 and season 7 as well*, and I was also on Tribble when the CE got spawned at DS9 a while ago. Basically, if you want a hope in hell to get into future closed betas, I'd make sure you…
That would be a great idea if STO had some kind of alliance system, where all members of the alliance can contribute to the same (alliance-held) holdings. As it is though, anyone that moves out of the massive fleet into a new one will have to start their starbase/embassy/[3rd_holding_name] at tier 0.
2/10 Could've been a much better troll thread, but it's not... so only a 2. Actually, on second thought I'll give it a 3/10, the extra point's for the "I have a mate that's a lawyer" bit.
How's it an exploit just to be hit by an attack, and then to heal yourself afterwards? If you can tank it successfully, you may as well stay in place pumping out damage for the duration of the shockwave. Of course, if you miscalculate the damage, or miss a damage mitigating buff and get blown apart, you have no-one to…
A Tuffleet could be awesome. Give it 10 consoles and 6 weapon slots, and you end up with something that looks useless in combat but packs a punch considerably greater than expected by its target. I'm thinking something along the lines of a certain well known YT-1300 freighter, but bigger.
Possibly searching under All, instead of Data Samples. I think you get a load of retroactive "normal" bank slots too, plus a Zen stipend for the month you're subbed.
How the hell do people have trouble hitting their dil caps if they have mining rights? One right can get you 5,000 dil in less than 5 minutes. A contraband hand-in will get you another 2k dil. 10 minutes of DOffing can get you another 500 easily just from doing the 2-mission colonist shuffle (one mission to pick some up,…
As someone that just sold a Tuffli 84 million EC that I'd previously bought for 7 million ec, I approve this message. Bring them back, let the market get saturated so I can get another load on the cheap, then make them go away again to allow resale profits :D
Good advice here from Patrick. I did that a while ago, got all three, stripped the consoles from 2 of them, and ran the third fully-equipped. I found it was a good setup, but not really for me. The firepower (when you can apply it) can be outstanding, but if something gets behind you you can have problems. In the end, I…
