Unfortunately the answer is 'its a variable.' We have had updates where it was back up and playable(not editable) within a day , the worst case it was almost 2 months. I will say when we stop getting daily patches, we should see it start the republish within the week.
1) there is a setting for npcs called patrol that lets you set path nodes. Otherwise you set them to wander and max out the points they wander to 2) not an option directly and I don't think the old 'set a spawn point at the edge of the map so your boffs spawn outside it's works anymore. Plus if you are grouped YOU will…
Don't suppose there is any way I can make a humble request to push the deadline to saturday the 22nd? Ive had internet issues that have basically locked me out of STO for days and the extended downtimes havent helped me at all.
Mission Title: Rubicon Your @Handle: @castmodean Faction: Starfleet Cardassian Level Requirement: 31+ Mission Summary: A raid on a Gamma Quadrant world leads to a hunt for the attackers and questions about a battle that took place almost forty years previously. because of your Cardassian heritage and Starfleet training,…
No its an annoying glitch most likely, just tab out of the editor to your desktop and back in and it will fix itself for the remainder of your session,
Its very possible that autopublish will have failed for some missions for various reasons. A quick question, is there a map in common in all of them? I have found that very often the boundaries of maps change during these cycles and objects end up outside the allowed frame, which will instantly break publishing
I can confirm this myself and at least one other author has noticed this. And so far we have not found any consistency to it so it remains vague. Its almost like something reset the rewards counter behind the scenes. below are 2 examples of the weirdness http://starbaseugc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/cast-found-1.png…
This is a difficult one for 2 reasons. Reason 1 is that its harder to balance a mission when you start adding players, its somewhat guesswork at trying to not overwhelm players. Reason 2 is actually almost a deal breaker, there is a 'feature' in the Foundry that doesn't always transfer captains to the same instance of a…
once upon a time, I recall if you tried to create a foundry character other than what it hands you it failed, not sure if that still holds true. also I think the initial cost was about 10k dilithium for slots if you werent gold
standard thing, after a major publish (be it expansion or season update) the foundry goes offline to do a republish to make sure things didnt get broken horribly (they have before which is why they do this) now this one is special because they also have to update the maps to the new lighting specs, so it might very likely…
the simple answer is 'when they are done.' The more complex answer is..well more complex. They have to do an update to the maps, which means at the very least copying in all their changed maps and replacing the existing ones. Now that sounds like it should be easy, but there is alot of data in the background they also have…
best case scenario usually runs 10 days, worst case...well we dont talk about the worst case (except when I bring it up regularly) but we should see them soonish, itll depend on the speed of updating the lighting on the maps, getting the maps to play nice and then starting to republish the missions
we dont presently have the [name] fields to do things like that. I assume noone has tried to 'mine' and see if we can call to them manually? Until someone adds it into the dialog options otherwise, we can't do it. (and there is so much metadata that I know we can use in dialog writing too...
Keeping in mind, its 'pointless' at this moment as the foundry editor is down for everyone for an indeterminate amount of time (probably at least 7 days, probably 10, possibly more. Have you at all submitted a ticket that might get someone who can look at 'the guts' of your account and see if there is something corrupt…
well, I wouldn't mind seeing something that could perhaps lead to a 'ship in a bottle' episode. Basically where you have to do something on your ship, be it return your warp drive because its suddenly slipped out of phase because of an anomaly or you hit a quantum filament and you have to get your ship moving again. The…
good grief yes, a more robust metadata tag system would be lovely, especially if we could actually get some support for it such that we can actually do something like if>then (by this I mean if=vulcan, then display 'it is not logical to say 'blah' '
The 'problem' with this is the way animations are implemented. Animations are called as soon as an npc loads, and will generally loop (because there arent any what I will call one off animations). This is why if you use the warp in effect, ships will continually warp in, and not do so just once. I have often said that…
well I seem to have deleted what I typed, oh bother. Ok so the site is having backend problems that real life has made hard to look into, so its been slow going, but the site is not dead yet (...I...feel....happy). In the meantime, the community itself (ok maybe it wont let me paste the discord link, well anyways if you go…
yeah removing the switch didnt fix it for me, so far on a nvidia quadro 880m I have: started in safe mode: crash at cryptic splash screen removed any command line switches: crash at cryptic splash screen deleted all the hogg files and redownloaded: crash at cryptic splash screen changed client settings on holodeck to auto…
I also am getting a crash when loading the game, it is complaining about a missing texture and at least 1 pass with force verify. I think Ill delelte and recopy tribble next EDIT: and this is the popup https://www.flickr.com/photos/27616725@N05/29376674686/in/dateposted-public/
IT is indeed not as simple as copy and pasting text over to port foundry missions into the main game itself. It takes a number of man/woman hours to do it. Thats not to say that it cannot be done, but just that it would be a pain and certainly not something that would happen in the early days as they are finding all the…
