For me, there is one change that could easily be made which would have me going back to the PUG queues. Simply grey out the option to join for anyone who is injured (ground) or has a damaged ship (space) for advanced and elite stfs. Some peopl need to be forced to learn.
Somethings not right here The launcher says down from 0100 to 0500 UTC. Current UTC is 1530, server is not up. Has it really taken ten hours longer than planned and if so why doesnt the launcher say? Or do Americans have another thing in mind with UTC?
I reckon it might be one of the temporal or tal shiar beacons for the doff officers you are talking about. Each has slightly different requirements (sci beacon is Efficient/Peaceful/ Teamwork, Eng is Efficient, Founder of Fed Teamwork). The Risa officers - for the ones I've tried - don't work very well as they also have a…
As I've posted before, I'd like to see a whole series of 'holodeck mini missions' which you activated from the various holodeck locations. Captain Proton would be the most obvious, Beowulf, something set in the Paris Bar, one with Leo Da Vinci and, of course, a Tuvok 'Maquis mutiny revolt simulation'.
I think what he has posted is fair. I don't know which fleet he is talking about, but its probably why the idea i am about to suggest won't work. I'll post it anyway.... As someone said I'd like to see 'RP zones' I'm not an RP'er, and find it a bit odd when I am trying to play and theres strange RP messages in my chat box.…
Damn straight. I've probably spent similar over the last couple of years. Worst thing was that when I started I saw it coming, and tried to buy a LTS. Unfortunately my banks and nations money laundering regs mean im pretty much limited to paying via 25 euro prepaid cards, which cant be stacked together. Was very fortunate…
Worst advice ever. In big fleets fleet marks is the first (along with exp, if its there) to fill, doffs are the last (or sometimes dil if its there). the 30 min project most large fleets use to generate fleet creds needs (i think) 510 fms, 17 doffs and 9 civilian doffs. So, basically a cple of hours for a fed to get the…
Ah, I just posted a long reply in the 'Swap ships anywhere' thread saying it was THIS that I really wanted above that.... should maybe have done a little more research. But yes, yes and yes again to this. I usually spend real cash when Cryptic make a change I've been longing for - the doff increase to 500 got them 20…
Intersting topic and you've hit on the main problems. Personally I really do want the ability to change ship away from SB, but ONLY if it also comes with the ability to save and hot swap boff and skill tray layouts as well, other wise its pointless. In fact its this that stops me changing ships at SB more than once every…
Great idea. Wonder if Bran would do the same thing for us in the 44th one day. Personally - as someone who has a background in online marketing and social media and has tried and failed to get a position similar to Brans at several games companies, I'd have like a few more questions about the ins and outs of his role and…
As a big 'doffer' I quite like the doff contributions. They aren't used by everybody in the fleet like FMs are, so I have more opportunity to donate (until Grouchy comes along, anyways!), and they both provide access to FMs and keep the resale on exchange value quite high, so doffs can be ground up, acquired and swapped in…
Lol. Odd this should come up now as after not having done any for a year or so I've decided to start doing them again to complete the accolades and help me get some of the 'Kill 1000 xxxxxx's ' accolades whilst gettin some dilithium thrown in for the daily. My biggest qualms - Ground - you usually have to actually get to…
Starfleet were made aware of the ferengi in the ENT episode 'Aquisition', when a ferengi crew gassed the Enterprise crew and proceeded to rob the ship (without realising Tucker was in a decon chamber, he then - in between flirting with T'Pol - hatched a plan to get them out of it). Starfleet definately knew about them, as…
I'm not particularly well up on shards and servers and all that bollocks, but surely the problem is that they only have one server which is overloaded, when really they should be running both US and European based servers for both STO and Neverwinter?
Unlike many in this thread I actually like the lock box concept, I think its a really good idea and its definitely got more of my money whilst keeping a smile on my face. Until this. I've not stopped opening lockboxes (Im still going through a few cardi and ferengi I had, and will probably get a few more from my fleets…
Hi Latinum Bar and crew! Firstly thanks for your post on the thread I made regarding my need for a new fleet. I've had several great offers and checked out a few different fleets websites and threads, and it seems that your fine fleet might be the best fit for me. In fact, I'm a little humbled to be honest, and I hope I am…
To answer the OP (haven' got time to read the rest!) I would agree that unlocking T5 has made the game better than the pre s7, it just sucked getting there while I could not add anything of note to improve my arsenal (I bought the two consoles, a set of Omega force armor, unlocked a couple of romulan store ground weapons…
Different people want different things, they are never going to keep everyone happy. You have the folk who buy zen currently as happy as larry, those who buy dil currently unhappy, and those like myself who rarely exchange either way who are so so about the whole argument. As for how cryptic sees it, those who have…
Also in regards to the OP and the comparison between TV episodes and game 'episodes'. I'm a huge Enterprise fan. I've rewatched it all several times, and almost every episode is more memorable to me than the game episodes. I've never been a fan of TOS (too cheesy and underproduced for someone my age IMO). TNG I watched an…
Sounds like you are going through the story lines way too fast. Remember, the enemies are at your level, whether that level is 11 or 51. Therefore its wise to make the best use of the time not doing the missions straight away, but concentrating on things that will offer you the biggest upgrades for the least levelling -…
Every week for about two months my day off has coincided with an update. last time I purposefully moved it to friday, we had a friday update. Today I had no option to change so went xmas shopping and timed it to get home for the update.. it's been extended. I'm cursed :(
When the temporal lock boxes first came out I was selling them straight on the exchange for 30k, only lasted a week or so though. If you have space, keep them and sell them on once they've stopped dropping - i think I saw ferengi ones going for almost 100k recently.
I have some MACO engine which gives you 'aysnchronised warp field' or something to that effect, gives you a speed boost in sector space, and a small bubble made of hexagonal things surrounds you, is that what you mean?
I reckon they are just about the best investment in dilithium for new/lower level players at the moment. They mostly seem to drop mini doff packs, but also some of the commodities which are hard to get from doff missions for level 50 players. I got a Science Vessel out of one (and possibly thats where my rubbish mirror…
wow cheers majortiraomega - I didn't think of stacking the consoles, and tbh I would rather have an antiproton beam bank than a disruptor one - but its what was available and has been way down the list of replacements! But what really helps - well, sort of, because I now have to go and learn the best way to put it into…
