looking back, it was definitely a PEBCAK issue, I didn't pay attention to refresh rates when selecting the higher resolution. Thankfully, Selecting Options in the STO launcher and scrolling to Game, I was able to tick the safe mode box, which kicks you down to an 800x600 windowed resolution, allowing me to make my trip to…
Nah, it was definitely a graphics issue, as the PC and the game still ran fine, it just shut off the display because it was out of range. Safe mode did fix it, but I didn't want to reply to myself. Best guess is I chose one of the different refresh frequencies, and I'm pretty solidly locked to 60hz. Reading a bit more…
Scheduled Emergency Maintenance is just synthesizing the strategic direction, dessniper. I really do feel bad for the community managers. They have to come in and post things like "Corporate says you're having cat TRIBBLE meat loaf substitute for dinner. Thank you for your patience, hope to see you in game soon!"
It reminds me of how "claim reputation token" can not be hidden or removed, even after redemption in the Reputation tab. Adding a few more clicks here, a few more clicks there. It really is annoying. I think I'm pretty positive with the other changes, even if they did scale back doffing. I just hate the inventory tab for…
I have difficulty meeting the needs of my fleet for resources. I recently built a ship to scan data clusters. It was simple, and repetitive, but it was the closest thing to exploration this game has. Everything is beginning to be time gated, cooled down, and needs continue to inflate. I am a simple captain. I do not enjoy…
I am grateful for all the ways PWE keeps us posted on maintenance, I was just hoping for a replacement for the red/green indicator from the old website. In addition to the forums, I have been digging the Maintenance snapshots on the Facebook account. Maybe I'm just being fussy.
I know the launcher shows server status, but is there a status indicator on the new webpage? The old site had the red "Server is down" / green "Server is UP!" messages, but I don't see anything like that on the cluttered "Arc Games" site. I'm really not a fan of the arc pages.
Made it to level 17 before it hit, but it hit in a mission :( Does that count as a death? Because I managed not to die up until that point, never even got knocked out on the ground. During these no notes maintenance cycles, I imagine they are venting the internal emission sink. "elachi" indeed.
Cooldowns and rep countdowns drive me into a rage. Especially when I've already got everything I need to hit T5 just sitting in bank. And obviously the stf cooldowns. I run through them and then get a nice 30 minutes of nothing to do until the first cooldown expires.
The grind is painful. I thought the reputation sponsorship would do more than it does. I certainly do not enjoy the reputation system or it's time gates.
I was farming gear and barely got it all sold off and banked before maintenance hit, got down to the one minute warning. Then I just looked out the window at earth.
haha, I just ran into this. I bought brown short length for all my Starfleet Characters, and was thinking of getting a black short for my tac, but it's a stretch with the 8/8 8/8 meaning beads and bells. Everything else I've got plenty of, if not stacks on stacks. Blue might make you look a bit more Vault-Tec :D I want a…
Ouch. I didn't really pay attention to such things in the past, but I'm seeing it creep downward. I consider myself a fairly stupid support player. I might not know the whys, but when someone hits me with a clue by four, I listen. Probe duty? On it. I used to fly a cruiser, and I had no idea what I was doing. Then I built…
I've hit T4 on my alt through this channel. And it's been smooth sailing for quite a while. I ran into some posturing at first, one captain threatened to squelch me from the channel, whatever that means. Lately it's been an absolute cake walk. People know their roles, no one whines about 10%, and none of my teams have…
They turned snowball piles into pie eating, which has problems (The table slows you down) and introduced yet another cool down of fifteen minutes between pie eating. I guess they wanted to reduce payouts.
I usually spawn far below the objectives, like ten seconds at full impulse. I also feel like there is something off about how the borg absorb damage in the zone, like I have to shoot them at a diagonal to kill them? Hard to explain a "feel". I usually fly into kerrat in off hours to farm mk XII gear. On the exchange, the…
I am very happy to see this thread. I was under the impression that Cryptic had removed the previous spotlight missions to reduce dilithium payouts in game. Since that isn't it, I will now do the dance of joy.
Just because the phage is cured does not mean the Vidiian become happy go lucky hippies. They were merciless organ collectors. They may no longer require the organs, but I can see them remaining in business, harvesting organs for greed rather than need. Not to mention, with extinction off the docket, they could begin to…
