From what I hear, the guy that wrote the FAW code didn't document it very well and left some time ago.
In that case, they will have to reverse-engineer the code before they can fix it. Will take a bit longer I guess.

They should put VirusDancer on that case. This guy's brain is an Intel i-7 processor for applied scientific maths

Can we get an idea of what the plan of action is with FAW so we can adjust our expectations appropriately? Find-and-fix? Bandaid? Rewrite the ability from the ground up? What are we talking about here? A little communication would go a long way for the impatient people with beamboats.

I am not normally one to whine, but really the only thing we get is stronger Voth ships? Those things are enough of a pain in the @ss to kill as it is, and they're about to get worse? How this can make anyone happy is beyond my ability to grasp.

Because the STO player base is masochistic. I know this because no matter how much some folks whine and groan about bugs and imbalance and whatever else is on the laundry list, they still come back for more. MWAH HA HA HA HA *cough hack*

Maintenance at 10pm PST? PERFECT! I always hate that it's down in the afternoon here in Europe. Can't you guys do it like this more often? Cheers! :D

Only reason I fight Voth bosses is to get my shiny metal hiney kicked.

No, seriously. It's fun to have some ridiculously tough NPC ships to beat. It's good for teamwork, and at least Voth dreadnoughts don't have invisible instakill torps (that I have seen, anyway).

Wow I give up I asked Branflakes 2 weeks ago in his Live stream for a comment on the 11 pages of bugs reported in the 2 weeks over X-mas with no Patches I was told by him that Cryptic is working on Bugs as priority and not ignoring them

This is the second Patch after his comment and they are resolving 2 out of at least 100 reported Bugs Nice work guys at this rate the current bugs will take a Year to Fix. not counting the 3 new bugs for everyone you Fix

Thats not the problem, the problem is, as all we know, those 100 reported bugs will be 200 in a few months, and 300 the next year. Because , as all we know again, fixing bugs is not a priority, even if cryptic says so. If they release new content in a new season or whatever, we are assuming new and numerous bugs will appear, and we will need to add em to the long list of existing ones. But well, yea players are TRIBBLE, they keep asking for new content and they will not doubt on buying zen here and there, but after that they complain about the bugs.. very funny.

I hate to be "that guy", but umm... how long does it take to fix Fire-At-Will!? It's one skill... an IMPORTANT one. Why can't we get this fixed... are we going to have to wait until the 30th?

FAW bug has been a thorn in the devs side for quite some time whenever they do fix it it becomes broken shortly after the fix and then they have to try to fix it again

That's it? What about [Insert unfixed bug here]? Or fixing the [REDACTED]?

Saving the good stuff for season 8.5?

    *sigh*

Who else fought off the maintenance down time until the bitter end!? I told my crew to transfer all power to the trololol system and I went down fighting like a wounded dog until 12:59 eastern time. That's right Cryptic! You'll never beat me! Muhahaahh!

I expect I'll be long dead to the world by the time that comes in as I'm heading to bed as it's after midnight over here in the South US.

Have a great evening and make sure the maintenance guys have plenty of coffee!

See you in the morning, and I hope the game isn't broken when I wake ;)
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

My team and I were a sliver away from killing the snowman when we were booted. I feel so robbed. :(

I flirted with a gorgeous trill on ESD. So worth it.

An honorable way to fight off the maintenance. You will go down in Klingon History as a noble warrior.

You were foolhearted to believe you could outrun such a powerful weapon but you were brave. Join my crew! I could use a second officer like you.

It would be kinda of cool to get a blog that tells us what it is you do during a maintenance. I know as a long time mmo player I have often wondered what it is your doing during that time.

I was farming gear and barely got it all sold off and banked before maintenance hit, got down to the one minute warning. Then I just looked out the window at earth.

    It was a temporary event.

Where did the devs say specifically that it was temporary? I would like to read their own words.

A poet at heart perhaps!? Perhaps you could write some poems about our fight against the maintenance or perhaps you could write poetry about our great Christmas targ hunts!?

You did happen to see the last Livestream? It was clearly stated that it was only for the time when Sphere of Influence was still "featured."

I have fought off the Iconian dev warlords as long as I could but their secret maintenance weapons may prove too powerful for us. I must sleep for tomorrow there will be more battles to fight. Gnight my fellow warriors.

Sorry no, I don't tend to watch video anything online since my connection has pathetic bandwidth--barely one megabit. If it ain't in text form then I didn't see it.
