    And there goes the "Emergency Maintenance" notify on the launcher....3 hrs it says.

    Well there was an message for 2 emergency maintenance from 16:40 to 19:40 (GMT) on the launcher so I suspect this might be the cause for that.

    This problem has been random for me for the last week. One day I can log in but the others in my building, all on the same network, cannot log in or randomly get kicked from game. It doesn't matter where they are in game, doing Omega's, missions, or just bumming around on Risa.

    Today is the second time I have been majorly effected by this.

    Had the problem just a few minutes ago but it's offline for emergency maintenance now.

    Not fixed.
    Issue for sure not on my side.
    No changes to system in over 48 hours.
    Router Reset.
    PC Reboot.
    Force Verified.
    Tested with Firewall off.

    East Coast, Win X. Been running STO for 8 years.

    Yeah, it was working fine, then connection dropped, now it is "Attempting to connect to the log in server, please wait". :pensive:

    I was kicked off while transferring maps. Got: "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out"

    Couldn't logon until I did a force verify, then connected immediately.

    Seems the issue is back, was able to login a few minutes ago, logged off for a sec, then tried logging back in and I am now getting the server has timed out message.

    Any answers from Cryptic as to what is causing this? I live in the upstate NY region, but this seems to be abroad and not localized, so it is an ongoing issue.

    The fix was temporary, it would seem. I guess I'll just have to accept the fact I won't be getting my anniversary ship today, let alone playing at all. And now my rep progression is pushed back a day as well.

    Bummer.

    This is one reason why you should never rely on finishing events on the last day -- always plan to finish a few days early to be safe.
