It seems like the social zones (ESD, DS9, Quonos) along with some other planets (like Vulcan) the bug didn't change much. However, the PvE queues (I tested FFA, now we know DS9 mission) seem to prolong the effect. I found it to be about 2 minutes, some longer, some shorter.
Iv noticed if when I went into the fleet space. And I used the oddessy aquarius shuttle and the oddessy saucer sep. they both stayed for longer than 10 minutes.
This bug is really annoying. It's almost if the game is like that's a very nice seperation pet you got there....be a shame if...it disappeared...
Just tested Yamato at Sol system, separated fine, 5 seconds later the saucer vanished like before if not immediately. Hestia, beta separation, vanishes immediately.
This ship-breaking bug needs to become a known issue again and actually fixed and then properly tested.
Yes this is still completely broken, no changes here with my D'kyr or Elachi Sheshar intel... needs to be fixed this is a MAJOR game problem, should be top priority!
I have been having issues with the separation pets as well. After the update, its hit or miss. Sometimes the pet will depart quickly, sometimes it will hang around until I recall it. I tried doing a verify files, activating during combat, activating out of combat and in sector space around bases. Where you activate it doesn't seem to matter. But I noticed that the animation of the ship flying away on its own is the same as when you recall the ship before it comes back to dock.
Edit: After verifying files, I've only had the separation pet fly away twice in the last 10 tries.
After doing some testing this is the bug report I am going to submit:
So after the recent patch on 1/12/2017 it claimed that seperation pets are fixed. I tested my two ships with seperation craft and both of them are broken still in social zones like ESD. My Elachi Sheshar intel dreanaught launches it's assault craft which instantly flys off and disappears until I recall it, and my D'kyr science vessel launches its shuttle which flys off and returns right back to the ship after a 10 second cooldown on the hotbutton. That is how they work outside of ESD.
In combat zones I tested my Elachi Sheshar assault craft and it did not fly off and disappear at all, but it did not attack anything in combat and just followed me around without firing a weapon. This was in the Borg Alert, and the Badlands combat zone. My D'kyr vessel was still completely broken in Dyson Sphere Allied space when fighting the Voth. The seperation shuttle automatically returns to the ship immediately after launch even in combat. Please fix.
Yep. Still has issues. Although 20% of the time, the pets DO work, but only when you activate in combat. If you activate outside of combat (like I do most of the time), the pets do fly off around 75% of the time.
That ^ seems to be what's going on, as soon as you leave combat the unpiloted parts despawn after a short period. Nuisance if you're engaging multiple small groups or similar.
Yeah tested it today, my Sheshar Assault craft maxed out at around 120dps in ISA today, but usually did under 100dps when it attacked at all (over half the instances it didn't do anything), compared to my frigates which did around 500+ dps at least half the time. The assault craft should be doing more than a frigate is my guess.
I know, maybe now that the new season is in place they will have time to fix it. I want to be able to launch it in a social zone without it disappearing too. But the dps is more important.

dont count on it, only patch note say is that some can still access the winter map.. nothing else ..i miss my odey's and galaxy

Yeah, but from what i know, they fix it on Tribble, perhaps the latest patch fix it?
Just tested it with my Fleet Advanced Escort, and the 2 vectors still leave after 20 or so seconds.
The opposite is also true: They stated in a fixlist that they took care of it but the problems remains for at least some of us.
