I've submitted these videos earlier with a comprehensive description as you've asked through someone else here, but it seems it may not have reached you directly, or there's a break in communication somewhere. I'll re-post just the videos that I've made from Holodeck.
No, you can be 100% confident me and pretty much ever other person in STO who has ships that make use of these abilities are not accidentally clicking these abilities more than once every single time, nor does a single click appear to register twice since a second activation initiates a recall docking procedure that does not occur with this bug.
Alright, so I've compiled a list. If the ship you're having problems with is not on this list, please respond here (also please feel free to message me on reddit: /u/abstruserejoinder) and I'll add it. If possible, please use the in-game name of the ship, i.e. the one that displays right under the ship's "U.S.S." name.
Do you consider the Fleet versions of ships as different ships in this case? If you do, then the fleet versions of the T6 Dreadnought, T6 Long Range Science Vessel, and T6 Advanced Escort are also affected.
The T5 S'golth Escort and T6 S'ateth are also missing from the list. Oh, and the T6 Klingon Flagship Battlecruisers are no doubt affected too, same as the T5 Command, War and Tactical Battlecruisers because they use the same console for the separation pet.
You might be better off listing the offending consoles rather than the ships, for what it's worth. When I was testing last night the only time the ship I was in made a difference was with the Sheshar and I assume this is because a different pet is spawned, when the console is used in that particular ship; between the Monbosh and the S'ateth there were no differences because using the console spawns the same pet.
Finally a Developer stumbles across this thread! Have all our bug reports simply been ignored??? Can confirm the Aero Shuttle is the buggiest of them all! Disappears fairly quickly in combat and out of combat it's insant.
Hi, I want to clarify a couple of things regarding the Oddysey variants based on my experience.
The Saucer separation is completely broken. Doesn't engage one bit.
The Aquarius and BOP pets on the T5 flagship cruisers DO engage the enemy. That's one of the only few pets that have actually worked for me.
The T6 MVAM works only if you're engaged in battle. If in normal space and you engage the MVAM module, they fly away. But if you fire them up when you're in the thick of things, they do help you out. 30% of the time, however, they bail mid-battle.

after doing a little testing with my t6 ODY, (i assume that the same thing will occur with the t5/t5-u ody too)I found out that the bug with the console pets is only partially fixed.
chevron seperation console:
If you are in the middle of battle, and you launch the chevron (saucer) the pet will launch and engage in combat. however, when combat breaks (like inbetween waves) if the ship goes into out of combat mode (when you can enable Full Impulse) the saucer will fade out and dissappear after about 15 seconds of no combat. re0engaging in combat DOES NOT cause the saucer to reappear. You must dock the saucer again, before it can be used. during combat, when the chevron console is used, the saucer seperates as normal, and the saucer engages targets, including the use of GWIII. in social zones (sector space, I.E. SOL #1) if the saucer is launched, it will undock, start to fly off and fade out and disappear.
launch aquarious escort console:
If you are in the middle of combat, and you luanch the aquarious escort, the pet will launch and engage targets normally. as soon as combat breaks or ends, two things will happen the aquarius will fade out immediatly, and there is a chance the aquarios console will enter a broken state if you fail to dock the aquarius before leaving the map. if you DO leave the map and with out docking the aquarius, on the next map you use the craft on, the craft launches, but the skill button does not reflect it's launched state. once the craft dissappears, attempting to dock the pet fails. subsequent presses cause the undock sound to play, but nothing happens no undocking animation plays. returning to system map will cause the aquarius console skill icon to start a normalcooldown, and on the next map, normal (but buged) function retrurns. there is also a 50/50 chance that after combat ends, the aquarius will remain with you and not disappear until docked or you leave the map. there is also the chance the aquarius will launch normally when out of combat in a non social map. in a social map, if launched the pet will undock, and start to fly off and then fade away.
with both consoles, the pets will disappear if you are in a social zone or there is nothing for the pets to do but fly around. issue seems to stem from what the pets are supposed to do when they are idle.
I encourage other users with console launched pets to try my tests and see if you have similair results. please post your results if you do.
tested using various DSE's (deep space encounters)

I have had this issue with my T5-U Oddy, but I have a kinda workaround that so far, seems to work for me. The SECOND your pet is launched, target it, right click and set focus on it. So far, as long as I do that, it stays around and fights until destroyed, AS LONG as a stay within range of it. The second focus is lost, it vanishes.

Heinsenberg pets it seems... anyway, nice to know, i'll try that on my aeroshuttle...
I don't think legally they are allowed to keep selling a product that isn't working as described?? I bought it a while ago so I enjoyed it as described, but for anyone who has just bought one I would think at the very least you're entitled to your money back. At least the Dev above said they were going to investigate, but nothing further stated because legally I am sure he can't. I hope they are looking into it, if nothing has been mentioned or done by the end of this year, I genuinely would loose hope.

This helps very, very much. Thank you for your time.
And thank you to everyone else who has responded as well

do we have an update and time scale on a fix for these yet??
The T6 star cruisers (t6 ODY's) also suffer from the when the consoles from the t5 oddessey cruisers are put on the ship.
oops didnt see updated list with t6 ody listed.

Are we ever going to get an update on a fix or even a fix for this bug?????
Fix??......Er NOPE
I think the fix will come in the big 25th patch, or after that one. (so they dont break the fix, as they are modifing the AI for the pets)
@abstrusrejoinder#9208 , any posible ETA on the fix?
25th Century maybe...
nope nothing.. lots of fixes.. but not the seperations.
