I am mildly interested in how well a game like STO would fly as it stands but with no access to the ST IP.
People still like spaceships right? And customisation, and free zen conversions, and lasers and stuff right?
I'd suspect not too well. People like that, but STO doesn't really do anything out of the ordinary. I'd suspect it'd be like BSG Online. It's kinda... there, but really nothing you really want to play. I mean, with STO if it wasn't Star Trek, as much of a weird lore clusterbuck the game is, I wouldn't touch it. The gameplay and progression as well as the story itself is not a good enough incentive for me to play, it'd need another IP I like to interest me and if it's "just" Wing Commander or Homeworld (both universes the "collect infinite numbers of ships and switch them like t-shirts" mechanic could work, it does work ridiculously bad for a Star Trek game, though... )

Hmm... any one thing, eh? Master keys. Seriously, I don't mean lock boxes in general, just the keys themselves. Make the boxes free to open, and easy to acquire. That would get people playing the game a lot more in vain hopes of getting a box that drops anything good...

Yes, I mean Titan... that comparatively little moon orbiting Saturn. It's a nice little place in a version of our solar system where the sun is a lot bigger. I mean, Mars will last longer than your precious Earth, but by then, it'll be one hot planet... and I figure Saturn's moon will be about the right temperate for a super-powered warlord. Oh, and trust me, I packed a lot of rings, and I mean a lot. Trillions, in fact, so I'll never run out of rings to power my super form. Besides, if I start to run out, I can just chaos control more rings into my reach. It's quite easy, really. You should try it. Granted, you'll never have the 7 Super Emeralds that I have in my possession, nor the Master Emerald that I've got hidden away somewhere... absorbed into my body thanks to Sonic logic, but whatever. Oh, and the gif is actually a custom made super version of a similar gif, of which there are only 3 or 4 copies to be found by Google, and even then, evidently of an unknown source. Yep, it's one of those things. Stuff people have made, spread around, only for it to vanish and you to be the only person who still has a copy, not even knowing where it came from... like, literally at all. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Runescape has a similar thing, it was originally called Squeal of Fortune, now it known as Treasure Hunter, where you have keys to pop open 5 chests on screen. Sometimes you get awesome stuffs, sometimes you don't.

Well, that's not a mirror outfit, per say. I just like making my Trek arts with a anime/manga flavor to them, and other things as such.
I actually used Princess Lana, a character from Captain N: The Game Master, one of my fav old school cartoons, her outfit, at least, as the inspiration of my Starfleet uniforms.

I think it would have to be canon material. Having canon things in STO makes my full time job as forum canon pendent and sole defender of the TV/Film universe very hard.
I think removing anything that appeared or was referenced onscreen at any point would be the best way to solve all our problems.
Been saying it for years, STO would be a better game if it was set in it's original universe. Hardly anyone would play it since it wouldn't be a very good game, but it would be much more bearable

I don't know anything about that game, I can't even find a wiki article on it. But it's still linked to the ST IP isn't it?
Its a mobile collectible "strategy" game (every major franchise seems to have one these days). It was fun to try, but I've seen better. The gameplay is very simplistic and requires little strategy beyond getting better cards. And the F2P implementation seemed very poor, I quickly got the impression you can't get anywhere without paying.
One thing I'd remove...or alter, anyhow, is the DPS snobbery.
Also, one hit killing an enemy, without breaking a sweat, is no fun in my opinion.
No fun to the shootee, but fun to the shooter.
But yeah, that's why I don't PvP.

Well, when I play Call of Duty multi-player I only play hardcore mode, cause unloading an entire magazine for 1 kill annoys me, so I guess I probably disagree with you ... but then I don't PvP in MMOs so idk
