    My launcher has been stuck on "Loading...Please wait." for 20 minutes. Still waiting. Guess I wont be playing much tonight.

    Same here. Posted this on Twitter. I'd REALLY like to not have to have this issue anymore... It would be nice to be able to come home from work and enjoy a nice full evening of playing a game I enjoy and have put money into than to simply get chased off because I can't do anything because of the lag, SNRs and everything else.

    Your tracert super similar to mine. From hop 7 on we both hit the same stops through comcast/ibone hops over to the cogentco. Second to last request timed out. Stupid we both have to shoot all the way over to Comcasts Denver server then back across other side of country again. You are closer to STO server than me. Im just in south and you're in north

    True, but remember the backbone areas that are Comcast. which means that at those points it's running on Fiber. And for me, the lag I see is once it gets inside of Cogent. It almost doubles in time.

    Before this set of issues the highest I used to see was 46MS once it hit Cogent and I still was lagging. Even now it isn't TERRIBLE, but it has spikes, and those spikes are what causes the SNRs. I would venture to say that one device or area of network I hit that is lagging is getting hit hard with traffic.

    It should be running at Gigabit speeds and very little time. Which should mean little time delays from spot to spot. However it's one thing, consistent. And at Cogent. This time though, it almost seems to be a Comcast to Cogent thing for the most part. But that could just coincidence of who's reporting.

    I should note as well, that I have had issues since the anniversary event. Each "lag" fix, has not gotten better for me. I have a brand new computer. Internet speed that is far more than needed for even the most intense of games, that is far more intense than STO here. And yet only in STO do I really see issues. I don't play other Cryptic/PWE games. So I can't compare to see if it is a similar stance. I do know that this has gone on long enough.

    Having these issues makes it hard for me to enjoy the game, or to try to form a show around it to help other players in this game. ​​

    I normally don't have issues. Its pretty rare for me to lag, rubberband, or have much of any issues.

    I am back in the game now and seems to be ok.

    There seems to be a period that you can call a heavy spike. After a while it settles. Either because the traffic subsides, or because the routers/switches and other networking gear were able to catch up.

    But still, for me I have had long period of time where I can hardly do a thing. Then a typical time where a spike occurs and for the next 5mins to hour depending on the day I guess, SNR, Lag and no connections.

    Soon as that has happened lately I just get off and say TRIBBLE it and go play some other game that I'm half tempted to start paying to play on.​​

    another status, update, still haveing the same issuse, thank you cryptic for fixing....oh wait, u didnt, 600 ping, yay, playable at 600 ping, by by 30 ping
    30 ping? what the f is that? oh its what i used to have....
    oh but hey, insted of fixing the lag issue, here, buy this new ship

    Im just gonna keep bumping this page as cryptic thinks its fixed, but IT IS NOT, ANOTHER DAY, SAME TRIBBLE ISSUE, 600 + PING, WHEN IM SUSPOSED TO BE GETTING AT LEAST 30 PING

    So anybody has an idea about how to solve this? Previous time, I just went to the topic "Get latest launcher", run the .exe and it was fix....Only problem is that the topic "Get latest launcher" has vanished....

    Sevrer not responding, having lags of about 1minute" in FA just now. Everything I do is done one minute later.

    Totally unplayable right now. Had to quit, and now the launcher is just "Loading, please wait".

    Oh, and additionally - the Lags only always start when the wave of US players hit the game, in the late evening for us EU players.

    So it is quite obvious that PWE just doesn't care about their infrastructur outside the US or the connection outside the US. We non-US-gamers are sacrificed for the US majority. Which, as far as I know from ingame experience, isn't even the majority.

    Well im in the US and i get over 600 ping, so its not just you guys they dont care about, its the while game, allthey seem to care about recently is buy this, buy that, who cares if u cant play it, just buy it anyway

    Its getting ridiculous. Now even borg red alerts start lagging as hell. This is not fun anymore...

    Launcher's stuck on "Loading, please wait" and has been for at least an hour now, since I started trying to get on STO. I've already reset the modem/router, restarted the computer, and retried the launcher. No luck. Server status is showing green but that Iconian in the launcher is gloating at my inability to log in.

    Tracert shows clean (other than the standard-as-of-late "* * * Request timed out" lines) and all other 'net services are working (though these forums seem a little slow).

    they either have too many people trying to log in at once or their servers are hosed.

    Yah, can't authenticate now. Account server connection is timing out. And for the record (which can be found in that thread I made before seeing just what it was people where reporting here) my tracert is timing out at the same point everyone else's is (the second to last connection).

    Also, beyond it simply not working its taking a really long time for art assets to load in the launcher (puts me in mind of what the internet was back in the 90's.)

    I can't get in the game. Launcher won't even get to the Engage button. I've been having issues with lag and disconnects for the past week. This is by far the worst it's been.

    I've been trying to log in to game for over an hour now. Cryptic Game Launcher won't fully load but i've been able to put in my user name and password using the Star Trek Online Gameclient.exe but times out trying to connect to the account server...

    Found the cause. Let me guess, all of you are using Norton Security Suite. Attempt log in. I just disabled my smart firewall and got in. Log out. Make certain to change the setting in the firewall from auto to allow. Go in no problem after that. (this is for comcast users)

    You guys dont deactivate the firewall/antivrus while playing???? and some guys complain about lag lol.

    I tried to login, it was taking forever to get to character screen, then to load the character, finally I try logging in and it says failed login2. So I tried logging in with the arc launcher and it says updating, then it fails to update.
    This has been one really bad day.
    Any ideas?

    I have talked to support, and at first I thought they gave me a solution that solved my problem, but it turns out I still have this same problem. I have had this problem for about two weeks or so.

    I use Comcast

    Comcast aswell, last night was playable (not good, but playable), had 60ms, with a few quick spikes of 900+, I am not useing Norton like that one guy is saying we all are......so his "you guys must be useing norton" is totally wrong

    I'm not using Norton either and I'm having the same problems. Both last night and right now as well.
