Comcast here as well no issues with any other game I am on windows 10 and had no issues yesterday looks like unless crystalline is extended I will miss it by 1
It was working fine last night, then today, no connection. Same symptoms as everyone else. My tracert, nettest, and ping roughly reflect the above, but I will post it all anyway. I can't help but notice how much Comcast seems to be the villain here.

Suffering with the same issues as everyone else, the game was stable enough late last night for me to log in and do CCA, didnt try anything more as I hadnt been able to log on all day, now its back to the afore mentioned state, takes ages to load then wont load into the game from the character select screen.
I just started this game a few days ago. Was very excited and enjoyed a lot of the beginning. The graphics during "ground" missions are a little lacking but the space battles completely make up for it. Haven't been able to log in all day and have seen not a single post from Cryptic as to what the issue is. That type of customer support can only lead to extensive amounts of frustration. So I guess I am off to find a new game! Wish me luck! Seems pretty much all I find are steaming piles of incomplete...... Everyone have a nice day!
Comcast is a recurring theme here and I don't like it. I'm fearing there's a dispute and Comcast is throttling Cogent traffic. Not to say that that's what's actually happening.
EDIT: But I'm not having an issue with anything else online, whether games or Netflix or Youtube or Amazon or whatever. It's literally only STO I can't stay connected to.
Cogent recently signed interconnection agreements with AT&T, Verizon and Comcast, the three ISPs that accounted for the biggest part of its congested traffic in the run up to the open Internet rules that went into effect June 12.
Since then, Cogent said that Comcast has been opening up new interconnection points.
“What we saw was a rapid rate of port augmentation by Comcast throughout the second quarter and it was only at the end of the quarter that we saw ports running at full capacity,” Schaeffer said. “Now we met with Comcast, we provided our forecasts and there are additional ports being turned up in this quarter. At this point, there are sufficient ports that there is no congestion,” said Schaeffer.
I love this. Somebody at Level3 should be drawn and quartered. "Unexpected issue with a ROUTINE network change" and we're still completely hosed two full days later? I'm sure some heads will roll for this fiasco.
Well if cuchulainn is correct about it being a Level3 screwup we are at their mercy. I know Level3 had issues but I thought they were fixed. Guess not.
Once again I'm having issues. I was able to get in, started a CE event, couldnt move or see my beams, delays in all skills hit. Amazingly I got 1st place. Switched chars and "Timed out connecting to GameServer"
3rd night attempting to complete CE event at this rate its not looking good.
I'm getting tired of this and I'm a very tolerant person.
I honestly don't know how much more of this I can take.

The ONLY thing I can't do, so it seems, IS PLAY STO exclusively.

I just came out of a CE run where the only thing I was able to do is watch my ship stutter and rubberband back and forth, with frequent timestops. I suspect I only got a few shots off before it died, then I disconnected and couldn't get back in for several minutes after I tried to click the leave STF button. There's no way I'm doing this on 8 more characters.
Cryptic, please extend this event if this can't be resolved. Thanks.
Edit: For reference, everything else on the internet is fine. World of W*rcraft is lag-free, as are these forums and whatever else. Only STO is unplayable for me.
Yes I spent an hour and a half trying to get 3rd char done. I'm now working on 4th char, Ive been disconnected 6 times. Only able to get in to CE 1 time then disconnected. Then kept getting message Im unable to join queue from this map. I'm on attempt #8 right now.

4 hours later 4 chars done and in 16 hours its time to repeat the suffering cycle.

Its' weird, Friday I only stuttered like that for the first half of the match and was fine for the rest. I'd still prefer that to not being able to get in at all.
Considering you got third place on that run, I don't think anyone will be too miffed.
On an unrelated side note, am I the only one that has issues getting Yanishev to shutup when gameplay is normal? I'll close his dialogue box and he'll immediately pop up again.

So,I know sometimes these things happen and it's frustrating.The thing that makes it even more frustrating is the people who run STO don't seem to want to inform us of the facts of the problem.From what I can gather there is an issue with the area where Cryptic keeps their servers.This has been reported by some as starting on Aug 27th.but we have yet to hear anything from those at STO.Not one forum post.There has been a post from someone over on the Neverwinter forums.
Couldn't get on last night, can't get on today. Guess this weekend's a wash in so far as STO is concerned.
And not a word officially. This is not good.
Still stuck, since thursday night. If I had to guess at the continuing problems I would say a cascade effect from the Level3 outage. They may have solved the primary issue at their end but now have to solve and unsnarl the aftermath. Just like when a power plant goes down at the wrong time and takes out half the grid with it.

I love STO but STO doesn't love me lately
I, like others, have no issues on anything else online. All other games work flawlessly, netflix, youtube, any websites. It's only STO giving me grief.

I'm able to stream on Netflix just fine, I'm able to pay my bills online, I'm able to play other non PWE games JUST FINE, HELL I'M EVEN ABLE TO PURCHASE ZEN ! Isn't THAT funny?
If the internet's that screwed up, why are we all able to get on the forums no problems then?
The ONLY thing I can't do, so it seems, IS PLAY STO exclusively.
And all the troubles I'm having now, (today/Saturday), interestingly enough, I've been having intermittently over the past month, on Sunday afternoons. These exact issues too.
So exactly how long's this level 3 been going on then?

I've been able to log in to STO the rest of the week, even all day and night yesterday/Friday. Wasn't all this level 3 supposedly going on then too ? So WTF then?
What's up with STO and weekends? Cause from my perspective, that's what it's boiled down too.
And TBH, if it were this issue ALONE, that'd be one thing, BUT, I've got missing Lobi stuff now too, then there's our old friend severe LAG,.. all around the same timeline.

Edit: For reference, everything else on the internet is fine. World of W*rcraft is lag-free, as are these forums and whatever else. Only STO is unplayable for me.

4 hours later 4 chars done and in 16 hours its time to repeat the suffering cycle.
Its' weird, Friday I only stuttered like that for the first half of the match and was fine for the rest. I'd still prefer that to not being able to get in at all.
Considering you got third place on that run, I don't think anyone will be too miffed.
On an unrelated side note, am I the only one that has issues getting Yanishev to shutup when gameplay is normal? I'll close his dialogue box and he'll immediately pop up again.
I had that issue with that dialog box popping up on me all the time before. I have no clue what I did to fix it.
