This post (I believe it was sheldon post) was a totally flawed way to look at the trends and chart.
He took december as a reference, and no matter what was the context. Past december didn't have an expansion. In fact, beside LoR (which wasn't a december at all), there was nothing as major as DR.
With DR, we had the expansion, the usual QWW, several events and giveaway. That's a lot more than what we had the past december. Thus, the trend should be higher. Especially considering the hype behind DR. It's not.
I am a statistic. A "-1" to be exact, until I conjure up the interest to go ingame again. For now, I'll remain a "-1" and play Skyrim some more... or Kerbal Space Program.

If the 8th post is true, the window of numbers you're looking at is too small for a real picture of the State of STO.
