    And we really do appreciate the updates from team members...at least I really do. It's a sign of professionalism and integrity.

    THAT being said...quite frankly, from someone in "the business" there really are very few reasons for service to be down for any length of time. It really does boil down to money, and how much you want to spend vs. the uptime and quality (lag) of your server bank. I understand one wants to maximize profits, truly I do. I'm a business man myself. I spend upward of 300-500 (any devs can easily verify those numbers) dollars per month when I'm actively playing this game. I know not everyone can do that, and I'm an "atypical customer"....HOWEVER. If YOU spent that much on a game, how would YOU feel right about now when your schedule is INCREDIBLY busy and you get so little time to actually play it in the first place....

    Okay, here is the whole truth about what happened:

    Cryptic never imagined they would make it to 2015. Therefore they forgot to tell their servers that there will be a 2015. Since the poor servers think the world is ending soon, they all crawled up in a corner and pray to Cyber-Jesus to save them.

    I'm sorry, after all this time I cannot believe I haven't made the correlation before now.

    This happens every time I have a holiday day off. Clearly this is all my fault.

    Guess what ,today I get out of work way early and lo and behold.... server down.......

    So , I apologize for being a lazy @#$

    Let's take a look at the scoreboard, shall we?

    December 4th, 2014
    1. start of Winter Wonderland
    2. Tide of Ice functioning normally, but unlock is not account-wide
    3. a Breen ship discount is not functioning normally for some players

    December 11th, 2014 (1 week later...way to show a sense of urgency)
    1. implemented Tide of Ice account-wide unlock
    2. made it "easier" to gain completion credit for Tide of Ice
      ...and broke Tide of Ice
    3. "A Line in the Snow" accolade no longer acquirable
      ...but still necessary for unlocks
    4. adjusted The Fast and the Flurrious race flags so now you don't have to jump a fence to grab 2nd place
    5. resolved an issue with a few snowmen spawning underground
      ...now more snowmen spawn underground
    6. drastically reduced knockback from "Hail" weapon
      ...snowmen snowballs still have a huge chance to knock you on your TRIBBLE$
    7. Breen ship discount still not functioning normally for some players

    December 12th, 2014 (OMG, do they suddenly care about the players now?)

    2. Tide of Ice no longer required to unlock items, Merry Christmas!
    3. "fixed" Tide of Ice again
      ...now you can play the entire battle and not get squat for reward

      ...and still not get squat upon completing the entire battle

    A lot of people seem to have been in now for a good few minutes. I'm grinding, sorry having fun 17x over in Argala right now...
    If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

    This is why this game is not worth any money for subbing. these "rare" system downs last for too long. but you pay nothing - you get your money's worth....

    Oh good, they just clued into the east coast issues. I figure sometime by tomorrow they'll realize us west coast guys can't get in either. Don't worry guys, PWE will fix it even if it takes them all the rest of 2014.

    Well, the guys trying to fix this are probably going throuh hell at the moment. But it's appreciated... at least by me. Hope you're succesful soon...
